Prologue

Aurelya, the Eternal Goddess—mother of all existence, the Primordial Grace—sat atop the endless firmament, watching over her creations.

Her existence was pure, untouched, and infinite.

Yet, as the tides of good and evil swayed, an emotion foreign even to her began to stir—a sorrow too profound for the cosmos to bear.

A single tear fell, birthing a miracle.

From this tear came Eryndor, the Monarch of Infinity, the Alpha and Omega, the being who transcended the gods themselves.

He was the guardian of balance, the silent arbiter over life, death, and destiny.

But the cosmos was not without envy.

A betrayal shattered the harmony. The God of Balance, blinded by ambition, struck down Eryndor.

Yet, infinity cannot die—it falls, it reshapes.

Cast into the abyss, Eryndor awakened a darkness the universe had never known, and a new realm emerged.

Serenith, goddess of beauty and magic, stood by him, bound by love, even as the threads of fate wove them into the cycle of life and death.

Centuries later, humanity faces annihilation.

Races once hidden in myths—dragons, elves, demons, and spirits—emerged as gods’ instruments in a survival war.

Amid the chaos, humanity clings to its fragile existence, unaware of the truths buried in time.

And in this world of despair, a boy named Raylight Amatsurishi, cursed by fate, dreams not of glory but of understanding why he fights.

Alone, abandoned, and despised for the darkness within him, he fights not for survival but for a purpose.

When the shadows of the past call his name, will Raylight succumb to despair, or will the Monarch of Infinity awaken once more?

The wheel of destiny turns, and with it, the final chapter of existence begins.

Having followed the narrative of The Last Monarch up through its published chapters, I’m deeply captivated. The world-building is rich and evocative—Aurelya’s primordial origins and the cosmic weight of Eryndor's legacy set a lofty yet intimate stage. Raylight's tragic past, skill growth, and haunting awakening tap directly into emotional core and progression-genre strengths. Character relationships, especially between Ray and Maha, feel authentic and supportive, grounding the high-stakes fantasy in human warmth.
The pacing balances exposition with action and emotional beats well—introducing readers to magic, broken families, and cloaked destinies without overwhelming them. The frequent tension between hope and despair keeps page-turning irresistible. Though still early in the story, the hints of greater forces—taboo powers, divine fragments, and looming threats—promise an epic, layered arc.
