Description
If you could go back in time to before the apocalypse, what would you do? Blake thought he was sacrificing his life to defeat the alien overlord. Instead, he somehow finds himself ten years in his past, before Earth is aware of the malicious AI threat heading its way. With a second chance to right past wrongs, he must leverage his in-depth knowledge of the AI’s system and utilize his hard-earned martial skill to accomplish his goals. He must grow strong enough to defend his people, and establish a faction capable of uniting humanity. Follow Blake as he gains levels, recruits faction members, and expands his base of power. This is a Post Apocalyptic, LitRPG, Regression novel. Except for the occasional interlude, it is told entirely from Blake’s point of view. Town-building features heavily in this story, however, does not begin until he is able to establish his faction. This story does not contain a harem, but will eventually feature minimal romance. Chapters will release when possible. 1 to 3 per week likely.

I highly recommend this series!!!I've been read ferociously and just do not want to put the "book" down.Regression, litrpg, faction building, stats, abilities, skills, overcoming hardships, planning for the future. I look forward to this story being added too in the future and plan on a subscription to his patreon when I finish ten more chapters. - Parzival12316Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0It's one of the best Litrpg novels on this site for me: enjoyable side characters and a good Main Character. Honestly, the story has huge potential, I Can't wait to see where it goes. The system is fleshed out and base building is great if done right. The MC is not too OP.
- Olivia Astoria-LivTheTransLifeRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This story is fantastic. The authors prose drags you into a believable world with well thought out characters, noteworthy grammar and a slow yet steady storyline.Scion of Humanity is not about a perfect overpowered protagonist. It’s about a guy that gets caught up in a bad situation and ends up regressing back to the start. He wasn’t some great lord of the last man alive, he was just a guy living his life. That all changed when he was sent back, now he has to deal with the trauma of his future history while preparing for the coming system apocalypse. The local government is not only useless but largely corrupt, while the CIA are looking out for themselves. The main character is flawed, makes mistakes and grows throughout the story. If you can’t handle a character that doesn’t do everything perfectly, then don’t bother reading this fantastic work.I have never noticed any grammar issues and if there are any they’re easily glossed over.I’m honestly quite angry at these other reviewers. I truly believe they don’t understand how ratings on royal road work. If you’d recommend the story to others, minimum 4 stars. Anything less is often considered unreadable.I almost believe they are outright review bombing for personal gain or out of pure malice. Read the first few chapters yourself and make your own decision.
- LestiRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Always great to see another brilliant story like this. Means I get to add another book to my 50 chapter rotation of stories before I come back to them ;DThis book gets 5/5 for entertainment which is the only thing that matters to me.Binged it for like 11 hours straight and my only complaint is that it didn't take me 20 hours instead, since now that stupid next button isn't working again.MC is not a pushover or whiny, actually believable that he has lived with it for 10 years before getting sent back in time.Grammer 4.5/5 little to nothing wrong I could find while I was focused on the story.
- Littleburnzy03Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0I'm enjoying the storyline so far. Hoping the Base/faction building start soon. It is doing something that haven't seen before which is the regressor is already noticing changes caused by him within the first few days of coming back. The combat is interesting. I don't know where the companion line will end up which is nice.
- Mist1rmagicRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Thrilled that the author came back and started writing more frequently! I’ve been an old fan since this story was recommended by another author who sadly seems to have gone on an extended hiatus (fate points/ unhinged fury).
the story has a unique take with familiar elements of a lot of disparate books that I’ve enjoyed. The author does a great job of taking all these elements and blending them into something wholly new in my experience. And the dissonance between the MC’s initial experience as a grunt on the frontlines and as the Scion of Humanity is jarring enough that his advantage over his peers is drastically reduced, thus evening the playing field and making the stakes much more satisfying.
love love love - DarkhelmRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Really enjoying the story at this point! The time regression works well! The pacing works well for me and there is a good mix of action and story outside of combat. Wish the starting point for the nano would have been a bit lower as these numbers are going to get unwieldy! I can see the town building getting insane.
Style: I enjoy how some of the real world elements and human nature get mixed in to the story. I do wish that there was a little more development and inclusion of other characters though it is early! Great pacing and mix of story and combat.
story: loving it so far. Solid use of the regression premise, and good foreshadowing of potential to come. I really like the pre-integration head start. I wish there was a countdown so we could track how close it’s getting as it’s easy to lose track of how many days have passed in the story. I assume time is different on in the scenarios and doesn’t have a 1 to 1 connection with real time.
Grammar: no issues that have caught my attention or taken away from the story
Characters: would like to see more beside the MC but hopefully that will come. Hope that we don’t see wild swings in the MCs behavior. I do enjoy the companion and it’s a nice twist. - MrHistory50Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0Love this story so far looking forward to making one of my regular reads! As far as regressor stories go, it’s one of the better ones, and I like how gritty the action is. The author has taken the time to build out the world correctly, and it shows in his narrative.
- Redcelt32Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0Just a few chapters in and I already love the pacing and development of the story. Also the character development and dissemination of past history MC knowledge is done very smoothly. Great start to what I expect will be a captivating story! Looking forward to seeing how everyone advances within the System
