Description
In 2025 the world discovered the existence of qi. This lead to the development of Formations, Techniques, and Talismans, as technological development gave way to the development of cultivation. The health of every human was greatly improved and the quality of life increased.
In 2050, however, the problems began. People from another world started arriving, seeking to exploit this newly "Awakened" world, and the people of Earth must fight to protect themselves against the cultivators from higher realms which keep coming through the various gates around the world.

pd. grammar (my Englis is bad, so IDK) - UbaiyarhRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This is actually really good, I love the premise and the fact that it’s a cultivation novel also got me, I’m surprised not a lot of people read this probably algorithms but I hope the author keeps posting cause I enjoy it a lot it’s a 5/5 for me and I love where the story is going, I just wish for more chapters quickly honestly
- jjcamiRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0The premise revolves around the clash between two worlds with very different approaches to cultivation: Ilarya, a world with a long tradition and deep experience in the use of qi but very little technology, and Earth, which has little cultivation tradition but possesses technology capable of analyzing it and even skipping some of its steps.
What makes this interesting is that neither side completely dominates the other. Both have advantages and disadvantages, which makes the conflict between the two worlds feel more balanced than in many stories of the genre.
The setting works well for what the story is trying to do. Earth does not need to be an alternate or drastically different version of our world for the plot to function, and Ilarya clearly follows the classic style of cultivation worlds. It may feel a bit cliché compared to other novels in the genre, but in this case that is not a negative, since that contrast between the two worlds is part of the core premise.
The power system is also quite classic. If you have read cultivation novels before, you will not get lost because it works almost exactly the same as in the genre. At first some terms can be a bit confusing, especially for readers who are not very familiar with English terminology, but as the story progresses everything becomes clearer and eventually settles into the typical cultivation stages. What makes it more interesting is that on Earth, thanks to technology, people start analyzing cultivation in a more scientific way, which gives a different perspective to something that is usually presented purely as fantasy.
As for the characters, the protagonist clearly remains the center of the story, but he is not the strongest and does not gain power in an absurdly fast way. His progress is gradual: he makes mistakes, learns from them, and slowly begins to understand how the world and the cultivation system work. His personality is also quite likable, since he is not overly arrogant or irritating.
Another pos - originSauceRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0A very refreshing take on the modern cultivation trope. The author does a great job of explaining the “discovery” and mechanics of cultivation.
A breath of fresh air for anyone interested in more than a hand wavy explanation of a power system and tired of authors over-relying on the reader being familiar with the genre to fill in the gaps.
