Description
Ivan is alone and lost in the Arctic. That is not usually a problem for his species. Polar bear kin are loners, and the Arctic is their home. However, he is pretty sure his mother has just been killed, and he is only six years old, which is barely a teenager for polar bear kin. He doesn't even have his first class yet. The story follows Ivan as he grows and learns about the world. This is set in the Triple Strength World, but you don't have to have read Triple Strength to read this. What to expect? Who knows. My stories often surprise me, and I am supposed to be the author. It will probably be more "Slice of life" than "save the world". I have to balance work and writing. Two chapters a week has been sustainable in the past, so that is what we will be doing. MyPatreonis 15 chapters ahead if you want to support the story. You don't need to support the story, as it will be free here. I write for fun, not to make a living. I put aside the support I am given and use it to learn to write gooder. I have no training in writing, so I need all the help I can get. I hope you enjoy reading this as much as I enjoyed writing it. King Dad

- fluffiness100Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0A fun story competently told. Told as the MC's life story, the plot up until now is just whatever happens to him. Sort of slice-of-lifeish. The world-building is done naturally, without sudden lore dumps or long-winded expositions. The characters introduced so far are all unique and have enough depth. The MC is also not the typical self-insert character and has his own quirks and personality.
Just a straightforward fun time. - Michael G MastersRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I mostly love this Author / story teller , this is addictive ! ,
like a hot fire and chocolates in winter , nice comfort reading with a danger of binging and shelling out $$$ at Pat reon
Warning it does include raw meat eating , LIT RPG elements and weak persons going from weak to strong .
This story I will probably buy when i can get it in paperback , next year ?? Yeah nah , more like a 2 year wait as author is still printing it . - OdunRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I love this author! This story is set in the same world as Triple Strength (another story I would recommend as a must read), but it stands on it's own, and there doesn't appear to be any overlap between the two stories, just same world, same system, same kingdoms, etc.
The MC is a polar bear shifter/beast-kin, young and inexperienced, making his way in a harsh environment. The characters are very well done, the dialogue is good, the growth of the character isn't something crazy where a month after being inducted they are suddenly able to slay boss type mobs. The MC grows and progresses, but in a world where everything else does as well, so he isn't climbing the power ladder faster than anything else would necessarily.
The MC being a shifter from an isolated harsh environment is very well handled by the author. Clearly thought was given to his mental and speech development before he meets up with more sapient individuals capable of speech, which occurs in chapter 6, and he improves from there as the story develops.
The setting and the character, along with the addition of the author's system and a very clean writing style will make this another excellent read. I will recommend once more that you check out the author's other works (I have read two of his other works and they were both outstanding). - R.CRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Enjoyable first few chapters , his starting physical stats seemed way too low tho , if he is a fully grown bearkin a standard polar bear is probably 2 or 3 times stronger than a human if a human at 18 has an average strength of 12 bearkin should be in the 30s but he only got 15
- rafeeqRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I read the previous story triple strength , in it main character had a grand mission to stop all slavery in the empire and rest of the world. In this one there is no grand mission but story is still enjoyable .i would call it slice of life if not for the frequent monster hunting occasional fight with sentients. World is detailed has great lore .for example there is reason orc kingdom of kirghiz hate slavery. I would recommend the story and also the previous story triple strength.
- Thatlazysloth74Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0I love the addition of the new affinity. It came a bit out of the blue, but it still kind of, sort of, fits. I love the basics of the story as well. Polar bear kin with a sad backstory along with a new take on status page. I still don’t fully understand how the attributes and skills affect each other. I like that Ivan bonded with the dog. Yikes feels like I should know the dogs name by now. Can’t wait to see what skills Ivan will get experimenting with his new affinity! I love the descriptors that give the extra detailed insight into the world to make it more real. I’m interested in how the dwarves will later interact with Ivan once the looming threat and Ivan’s escape are realized. Will his escape be thwarted, will it be to late, will there be betrayals, will it turn tragic, or will it go without a hitch? Based on the latest chapters, Ivan seems to want to get stronger without permanently tying himself anywhere. I find my greatly anticipating to learn how he will interact with the next group he meets once he does leave the cavern. I love the potential of this story and can’t wait for more! This review was manly based on the impression of ch.21-24. Overall I love the story so far so 5. Style has been great but it just felt a bit stiff when Ivan discovered his affinity and planed his escape,so 4. Once again I love the story so 5. The characters so far have been great, I’m hoping for more companions along the way. 5. And then grammar, honestly if I see a mistake I’ll probably add a suggestion but yeah 5.
- TheirTheyreRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0An interesting litrpg story set in the Triple Strength universe. Ivan is a polar bear shifter, orphaned in the arctic and trying to survive on what he remembers his parents saying.
I’m reading the story on the author’s Patreon, and it’s not disappointing at all, I’m enjoying it a lot. Even with a few other stories already in this world, there’s more to discover. - KreksaturRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5Great story in my opinion, though there are a bunch of spelling mistakes, not enough to ruin the story but enough for the reader to notice.
Major point is that the animal bond feels more natural than forced, unlike most other books in this genre.
Love how the story progressed thus far, waiting for more. - SolarlancerRoyal Road★★★ 3.0So, ill start by saying that this story is fine. i read the prior story of Triple Strenght, that is in the same universe. But unlike that story this one just doesn't strike that spark of interest in me. it just feels empty.
the main caracter is well caracterised and i like him, but what i don't like is his powers. they just don't fit for me, they are too strong and don't fit in the world for me. Also the lack of good conversations stayed the same and hadn't improved from last story. To often character only speek when they teach or show off. because of that the story often gives the feel of Superheroics and not fantasy setting.
