Pretty good for your first title! It looks like you've got a strong sense of your writing style already. I think if this continues, you'll have something real special on your hands. Each character and chapter has been pretty distinct thus far, and the setting allows for just about anything to happen. On a personal note, I like metaphorical language and this story makes extensive use of that, if that's your thing.
