This book doesn’t feel like it takes a long to get going as other books I’ve read on here and so I’m dropping a review early because I think more people need to check this story out. The author has a real sense of how to write action and dialogue that I enjoy and I think others would too. There’s also a little bit of humor to the book that I think is lacking in a lot of other stories on here. I think the characters Zabu meets are interesting and have a lot of heart and humor to them.
What you have here is a very fun fantasy story with a believable and ambitious Main Character and a solid supporting characters around him. The protagonist, Zabu, is an ambitious and talented young man from House Vedro who starts in a training dojo of some sort where he must pit his skills against other students.
So far there is some solid action with the training scenes and I also enjoy the dialogue between Zabu and the maid Nina. Overall, the author is building a fun and believable world around his Main Character that I look forward to exploring more as the book progresses.
Overall I think it’s a great start to a very promising story.
