Description

Kai is the hardest working warrior in his generation... and the unluckiest. In a world where most people receive magical skills, classes, or cultivation, Kai has nothing but his wits and his strength. His only choice will be to forge a new path against fate, no matter where it takes him.

Savage monsters pour endlessly from the wasteland, threatening the survival of civilization itself. They say that human strength isn't enough and only those gifted with destined powers have a chance of making a difference. Kai is hungry to fight in that war, to be someone who matters. That hunger will take him across a world stranger and more terrible than he could possibly have imagined.

What to expect:

* "Strong to stronger" slow burn. The MC is an underdog for many chapters before earning his unique ability.* Stats exist as a natural part of the world. They aren't introduced until several chapters in when the MC unlocks spiritual sight.* Different magical abilities exist in different regions and balancing them is an essential part of the system.* Chapters post Monday-Thursday.

10/10 story the MC truly struggles and earns every inch of progress. The writer has some fantastic world building, each new location feels unique. If you enjoy unique powers, hardworking MCs, and a vibrant world full of cool monsters this is the story for you. I'm trying to pace myself, so I don't catch up too quickly.

First time writing a review but I thought this story deserved it. Great story, characters, and a unique system that will appeal to most fantasy/litrpg readers. Deserves a follow and I hope for many more chapters, hits all the right spots and excited to follow Kai and crew to the end!

Started binge reading this book and I do not regret one bit. Dephless Hunger has everything that I like on these genres and I had great fun breezing through the chapters.
The different power systems, the protagonist thirst for power and his journey were well made, I'm used to the stapple one dimensional Xianxia characters and the 'grey enviroment' most LitRPGs adopt (Everything is numbers and power creep) and fortunately this is not the case here.
Nice job author, I'm looking forward to read more.

Loved reading the book so far. The MC's powers are unique that gives the story a fresh feel. Like the cast of companions with their different personalities.
The progression is designed in such a way that the lead cast gets power jumps and watching them use/ flex those powers afterwards is always exciting.
Overall worth having it your reading list.
My requests to the author -
Do include some POV's from other characters especially after a powerup. Would love to read those.
Too much teasing of Kai with the lethal artisan, just get them together for some fun already ....
JK, but would be good to read.

Depthless Hunger is a somewhat generic but still quite fun litrpg that doesn’t fall victim to “numbers going up” like many other entries in the genre.
    Style:
The story maintains a consistent tone throughout, with neither marvel-esque quips nor over-the-top edginess. The writing is functional and not flat, although it’s not exactly artistic either. It’s about as good as it gets for royalroad with rare exceptions.
    Story:
Despite being a litrpg, this story has a classic xianxia underdog premise, with a satisfyingly generic yet likeable protagonist. Anyone who’s familiar with this kind of story should be able to predict how the first arc goes, but the worldbuilding and supporting cast are introduced well making even the long introduction enjoyable to read.
    Grammar:
    I didn’t notice any mistakes.
    Character:
Like I mentioned before, the MC is pretty generic. He’s earnest and hardworking to a fault, but not too overpowered. The supporting cast is my favorite part of the story, because the simple but believable characters around the MC make the story fun to read.
All in all, I’d highly recommend giving it a try. Definitely a large step above 90% of novels here. It’s not anything groundbreaking or a new Mother of Learning but personally I don’t think I could ever get tired of these tropes when they’re executed this well.

This is my favorite kind of pleasure reading - a slow burn progression fantasy. The protagonist goes through lots of unluckiness before he finds his footing, begins building a personal power base, and finding allies (who may also end up as love interests). I imagine and hope that it will continue for at least a thousand more chapters.

A compelling lead, interesting premise, and a fun take on a monster hunting world. The prose is excellent, descriptive where it matters and riveting throughout. The underdog protagonist excelling despite other people's doubt and scorn is a favorite trope of mine and I'm already invested in the character's success.

So far, it's been a regular roller coaster ride. Very little"down" time to let you get bored with the story.
    Well done!
Apparently, that review is too short to be allowed. Therefore, I will also comment that I love the way the author has taken so many different means of "power" (Mana, Chakra, etc) and combined them into one world.

I have enjoyed the story immensely.
I have a particular annoyance with the sheer number of protagonists that are unlikable for one reason or another in a lot of media I consume.  Kai does not have this problem.  Kai puts in the effort and earns what he gets.  The world shits on him and he keeps on going.  It's admirable.
The world is interesting.  The characters are actual characters.  The whole thing is well written.  I'm glad I read it.
Honestly the biggest problem I have with the story as of chapter 20 is that chapter 21+ is not yet out.

Bit of a slow burn to get into the meat of the MC's power system, but it was worth it to understand his character and motivations. I like how romance is handled respectfully and realistically. The world is interesting, and I love the blend of various systems coexisting.
The author seems like a genuinely nice and chill person too, with clear and relevant communication in the authors notes, and I appreciate trying to promote smaller works and pay it forward now that there's a larger following for this.
