Description

He spent his days hunting down powerful opponents. When he ran out, the only choice was to look to the future. Literally. Sen Locke was a magic prodigy ahead of his time. He slew gods, saved the world, and became known as the God of Magic. But in a System fueled by the collective strength of all that partake in it, evenhisadvancement had limits. In pursuit of stronger opponents and a System capable of supporting his growth, he traveled to the future. When a time-altering artifact is pushed to its limits, his notes are scattered across time, and knowledge best kept secret is let loose in the world. Now, he faces the ruins of a kingdom he once helped build, and low-level magicians using spells considered overpowered in his own time. Armed with a special new class and the desire to catch up to the god-class magicians of today, he’ll push himself to see just how far the System has come. Starting with the world’s top-ranked magic academy. What to Expect: A Complete Story:Book one of the God of Magic is fully written. That means no hiatus, no pointless chapters, and a book written with its ending in mind. Character Art:I commissioned sixteen different artists to do character art and other designs for the story. All of which will be included at the end of chapters as the story progresses. Track Record:I’m not the type of author to give up on a story. My first story has over 400,000 words out, and new chapters are still being released for it. I’ve taken what I’ve learned from that story to deliver a version of the God of Magic that I’m confident in. No Harem.

    I'm loving this!
It's a story about a very powerful but street-dumb mage accompanied by an also strong and street-smart fighter seeking out the most powerful people in existence.
The writing is very clear and vivid making it a joy to read and picture what's happening in the moment. The style Kane uses is also unique to himself which gives me a breath of fresh air from the usual writing style I read often.
The characters interact with each other well and they all have a certain depth to them that isbt revealed immediately which draws me in to want to get to know them more!
I can't wait to see where this story goes in the future! I'll likely edit this review when I get further into the story and see how Kane handles the plot!

An Overpowered (OP) Main Character (MC) in an academy setting? Not sure I've seen that before, but Kane uses it as the backdrop for his latest Fiction.
Our hero is 19 y/o Sen, who, accompanied by clones of himself (one of which has the ability to capture peoples' souls once they die -- neat!), have become the strongest mage around. So much so, in fact, he's reached the limits of what his world has to offer. Wanting to see the very highest limits, he messes with time and goes forward a thousand years in the future! Whoa!
Once in the future, he does good, resolves conflict between humans and monsters, and masters the entrance exam at the top magic school of the future. And what do you know, when he's at school, it doesn't take him long to stumble onto cultic conspiracies!
Every chapter keeps the story moving. The first chapter alone has the Protag fighting a 'god,' so you know there are some crazy places to go. Which is part of the problem, actually... although the story begins strong, I feel it slows down significantly once the magic school is involved. The narrative goes from 'super strong magic user pushing the limits of magic' to 'knowledgeable and strong magic student who is slightly above his peers.' I understand that Sen is seeking magic to push his prior knowledge, stuff that didn't exist in his time. But it feels like the Fiction wants it cake and to eat it, too: Sen is both OP and learning, he is challenged but overcomes every challenge in such a way that is somehow both a trifle to him but also something that pushes him to use his magic to its fullest effects.
At this point in my reading, I asked myself, 'how is it that the protag is even over-powered?' To be clear, I am not saying every OP Protag needs to end a fight in a single spell. An OP Protag can still be challenged. What I mean is this: in a world where magic has advanced beyond what the Protag knew in his original day and age, what makes th

Very nice, it scratches a nice itch for the op MC genre/trope. I would recommend, as I quite like it so far, granted, I haven't gotten to read very far yet.
I would say, unfortunately, as of so far, we haven't gotten a good look at the magic system, or how it works. The story doesn't have enough chapters to be able to tell if the characters will be good or not.
I would recommend, mostly because I want to see the potential that this story has.
Good popcorn ready, isn't deep, but that's me re than fine.

Really great so far! The set up is interesting, the characters are great, the pacing is nice. The premise is a lot of fun, and a unique take on the OP MC genre.
The character bonding and friendships developing is very organic and believable so far, and there’s enough depth to the magic and the world building and foreshadowing of things to come that I am not bored, since it isn’t too one note. Great work!

Not recommending this unless you're into typical  anime isekai, because this book isn't much different.
Right in the first chapter the author breaks the "show don't tell" rule. The MC has a fight with some shadow creature that's supposedly god level—they try to drill this into you by having the main character mention how strong it is a few times. But really this shadow thing is basically a dumb cartoon villain who just stands there with a confused look on his face every time someone talks to him. Meanwhile the MC, to "show" how insanely powerful he is, spends the whole fight messing around and acting like a clown: he pretends to be asleep, asks his interface to play music, kills a god with the weakest spell possible, then takes a bow like he's in some orchestra. And this is supposed to be cool?
    Not for me.
