Description
“I Became the Dark Lord” They came for power. Luke wants the truth. The System integrated Earth into a multiverse of gods, monsters, and dungeons. Half of humanity answered the call. Some return stronger. Others never return. Thirteen years ago, Luke’s mother entered the Tutorial and vanished. Now, Luke faces the same trial, not for glory, but for answers. What should be a beginner’s test becomes a death sentence. Luke falls into a forgotten dungeon floor. Monsters are scarce. Supplies are limited. The only way out? A temple hanging over an abyss, guarded by a sleeping demon. Every puzzle kills. Every step risks his life. No buffs. No tricks. Just a knife. Just raw will to survive. When the light fades and the body breaks, Luke has only one choice: Embrace the darkness. And be reborn. What to Expect: [+] Weak to Strongest [+] Dark Lord Powers [+] Undead Woman Servant (slowly reveals a yandere side) [+] Bloodline Skills and Unique Magical Combinations [+] Romance (not harem). Release Schedule: Two chapters per day. One releases at 11:02 AM and the other at 11:02 PM (GMT).

- KnightAceRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0The author has come a long way from chapter 1.. and I’m thoroughly enraptured. It feels like a blend of similar works that I enjoy, with a whole slew of unique characters and twists. I’ve been sold on joining the Patreon, this guy deserves all the support he can get. Good stuff mate!
- MadAdam73Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0My real rating for this is four stars, but we need to battle the half star trolls. The beginning of this story is pretty rough. I would actually recommend the author to do a rewrite of it. A few issues I have with it include that The puzzles seem too simple and are way too based off of earth culture for story with a massive multiverse setting. It is a shame because that initial hook is so important in storytelling. After that first fifteen to twenty chapters things very much improved and I have enjoyed the journey. The author really found their stride.
- Jimmy2024Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0So I do love the story but just forgot to leave a rating sorry about that Mark, anyways I came to tell you that ranting about something bothering you is good it helps people to understand how you feel and think and it helps you relieve some of the anger/stress that you have accumulated. To tie it all together I'm team Charlie and this is one of my favourite stories on RR.
- AlexisdequinaraRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I tried this story because it was a litrpg and I tend to enjoy those and the premise seemed interesting. …. A few days later and I have binged everything there is available and now I’m sitting here begging for more. Excellent story, exciting and action packed. If you like a story that gets your blood pumping look no further. The chapters are long enough to be satisfying and it’s well written.
- BlodWeddRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I’ve read all of it—right now it’s close to 4,000 pages, which is insane considering how new the story is. That alone earns serious respect. More importantly, it managed to eat two full weeks of my free time, and I mean that as a compliment. This is the kind of webnovel that hooks you hard.
That said: it’s not perfect, so here’s the good and the bad, category by category.
Solid across the board. No errors that break immersion, no awkward formatting issues, nothing that makes you stop and reread.
Yes, I spotted a couple typos in this 4K-page monster, but they’re rare enough to be negligible. Full marks.
The prose is clean and very readable, but it’s also… normal. The vocabulary isn’t particularly advanced, and the writing doesn’t aim for anything flashy or “literary.”
That’s not a problem for a webnovel—honestly, it’s a plus for binge-reading—but it’s also not special in a way that makes you go “wow, that sentence was beautiful.” It’s good, functional, comfortable writing.
This is where the biggest trade-off appears: the pacing is slow. Like… overly slow at times. It took roughly 400 chapters to get through the tutorial, which is… yeah. Frustrating.
The author does deliver big “fun” plot moments well, and when the story hits those peaks, it hits them properly. But you have to be ready to wait a lot for payoffs. Some things that were teased early still haven’t happened even hundreds of chapters later (I’m aware it’s around ~550 chapters on Patreon).
So: good plot beats, strong moments, but the slow pacing is a significant weakness.
This is, to me, the most glaring weakness.
The characters aren’t bad—not at all. In fact, the villains are surprisingly effective, written with just enough punch to make you genuinely hate them (which is funny, because a lot of stories do the opposite: great MC, forgettable villains).
The supporting cast around the MC is mostly solid too.
But the MC himself has a couple traits that constantly frustrated me—especially the density. Like, how - DOMASMARTRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0The story has been a emotional roller-coaster so far it's made me laugh, stare in disbelief and groan in frustration at how dense the Mc is. I dont know why but this reminds me of shadow slave (maybe the criminal cliffhangers have to do something woth that). It's been a great book 1 and 2 and I highly recommend buying the patreon if you can.
- DalotRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Thank you very much for this story. I love it and the way the world is build. Too much cliff at the start but it improve quickly with the author reading the comment to improve their story
Really nice and I hope it will continue like this in the futur - BlackEmperor869Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0Now when I first saw the title I thought it was some necromancer stuff and I have read that a lot and I mean a lot like so many web novels. So, at first I was hesitant to read it but I didn't really have anything else to read as I am stacking. I like binge reading so I decided to give it a go.And guess what it was really enjoyable for me like first it's not some novel where mc is a chosen one like in solo leveling where he just got chosen no here there were other people who had to go through the dungeon trial and they failed. MC's class is an assassin and it's nicely done he doesn't become some over powered dude just by getting his bloodline. The best part of the story I think would be the fight scenes they are very nicely done and mc sticks to his role as an assasin doesn't become a brute mid fight. The pacing is good not too fast to be skipping over details and nor too slow either. So, I can say that it's an enjoyable read you should give it go. Not too much is revealed about the plot and we don't really have much details regarding the world I am hoping the author will do an amazing job with the world building too. The characters are good we have still much to see as it's still early in the story.I am enjoying it till now and I hope the author keeps the good work up. Please give it a read if you are into litrpg type stuff also if you like stories where mc is an assasin it might just suit your tastes real fine.
- ElfrisaRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I really enjoy this series! Its action packed, fast paced and with a lot of cool moments! I also really enjoy the characters. The only thing i fell is that new chapter twice a day isn't enough! I catch up, then i pause for a couple of days because i really want to read more when i read it!
Keep up the good work, Aturato. - MonijayRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I started this novel when it was like 30 chapters out but i stopped reading it since wasn’t Dewan in yet and now I picked it up again and I am so glad I let it compile till like 450 chapters. It’s a really great novel that makes you anticipate what happens next, there might be some chapters that make you loose interest but my advice just hold on there is a method to the authors madness.
