Description

The story follows Jared Moore, a US Army sniper who finds himself transported to a strange world. He must navigate unfamiliar terrain, dangerous creatures, and a video game-like system that offers "enhancement and ascension" as he tries to survive in this magical new world, and gather some allies along the way. But is everything as it seems?

Book 1 Complete

P.S. While I have done research to try to get details right, I am by no means an expert on snipers, military protocol and terminology, or anything like that. At the end of the day, I'm just writing this to have fun, and so I hope that you can accept the story, with all its imperfections, in the spirit in which it was written.

Edit: I have gone back and updated all of book 1 after completing edits to prepare for publishing.

What to expect:

- Cool, unique monsters

- Interesting non-human races

- Unorthodox combinations

- Power based more on Skills than Stats

The story is thrilling and fun. The setting feels relatable and interesting without being too far from the classic isekai. The characters are fleshed out enough to be entertaining while retaining their fantasy charm. The protagonist is clearly a character who wants to help others, and his new gun is adorable. love the story so far and I am eagerly waiting for more.

I'm looking forward to reading more. The stat system looks to be quite interesting, and the writing and prose is nice to read. There aren't that many litrpg/isekai where the MC uses guns as there main weapon, and if that's what's going to happen in this one I'm excited for how he will integrate it with the magic system.

This story is pretty early on, so it is always hard to say. I do think it has a lot of unique elements. My favorite part is how different the fighting style is compared to a lot of the other stories because he is a sniper as it says in the description. A lot of other stories have very similar fighting styles, with either magic or swords or close combat, or the like. The writing seems competent overall so far my only gripe is how short it is, but that just comes with time. I would definitely recommend giving the story a try

Nice! Couldn't put it down. Loved it from start to finish. Can't wait for the next installment. The mimic character development was interesting and a great new look into monster to character development. Would love for a little more expansion into that character, but the relationship between the MC and Mimi is funny and heart warming, almost like father an daughter. Overall truly a enjoyable read!  Thank you for the great adventure and look forward to seeing what is to come.

This is definitely a slept on story. I just found it and was please surprised with the quality and uniqueness of the story. While there aren’t many chapters out yet, I enjoy the MC and especially his mimic companion Mimi. The MC uses the mimic as a sniper rifle as it can change shapes. I’ve never seen a concept like that and it is very enjoyable. Grammar is great and haven’t noticed any issues that interfere with reading or any errors. The setting is pretty good, just classic fantasy world but it is done well and doesn’t overwhelm you with needless info and exposition. The system is very good with enjoyable progression and an emphasis on skills. The main character gains and upgrades skills in a way that is crunchy but too overwhelming on the numbers. I’m excited to see how the MC evolves and grows with human tech in a fantasy world. I also hope we have more of mimi who is the best mimic. The author doesn’t release chapters soon enough and i hope they put more focus on this one as it is so good. Please give us more chapters! I think the story will really pick up in the coming chapters.

Can't wait for more! The main character treats people with respect and kindness when it is appropriate. Mimi is cute! Enjoying the system notifications and and following along as the characters receive new abilities. The focus is on the main character and his party. A lot of authors seem to post a bunch of filler chapters clogging up the flow of the story and I stop reading! I'm reading for the main character, not a bunch of side stories!

Awesome concept. sniper wakes up in fantasy world. Instsntly knows he's in a sh** storm. Combat gives me COD vibes where you need to crack the protection of monsters or find a weak spot before you can take them out. Love the skill progression system. Interested to see how MC upgrades gear reliant on human tech in a fantasy world.

I absolutely have loved the story so far, the main character uses a gun as most can assume but fear not the normal problems I have seen of mc gets gun and starts oneshotting isn’t happening
the mc gets dropped off in this world and slowly progresses, even getting a companion to be a spotter (a snipers companion in battle)
12 chapters out so far and no absolutely solid plot at the moment mainly trying to survive so far and get a place in the world, I look forward to see what causes him to hunt down bosses and seeing many more chapters to come!

Really liking the story so far, there are no issues with the grammar that I could see and the history is fluid without being rushed. The system that is in place for this story has a good balance between complexity and easyness-to-understand that allows for a good reading experience without being too bloated with statistics.
All characters presented so far are well constructed and nicely presented, especially Naomi feels like a really novel idea and a fresh take on characters (read the story if you want to learn why). If anything its the protagonist the one that could come a little bit as stereotypical is this genre.
My only pet peeve so far its that everything seems to align perfectly with the main character needs and wants, even his mistakes (that feel somewhat forced) lead to good things for him. Spoiler below:
In the dungeon he fights really intelligently the initial goblins (removing the backpack, moving around, trying to engage in stealth, forcing them to triggerings traps, ...), but then he "forgets" to remove the backpack and rifle when he is baiting the monster hidden in water and doesnt make any preparations when he knows there is something there. Thats not really aligned with his previous actions to be honest and it feels done forcefully (breaking of the rifle) to introduce Naomi to the story.
Then the next character that is added to the party has the perfect characteristics to be the best spotter ever, and thats exactly what he needs being himself the sniper. In my opinion reaching that conclusion should be a longer process or at least more convoluted, not a foregone conclusion done in one paragraph
Also "forgetting" to discuss with his new spotter the essentials of the mission seems again like a "forced" mistake, especially taking into account how many briefings and debriefings a military guy has to do before/after missions.
Despite that minor complaint I am really looking forward to see how the story progresses and all the characters grow and develop. T

Competent MC arrived in new world and makes numbers go up.  Satisfying to see him plan out his kills (mostly, sometimes he ends up winging it) and then put his skills, and Skills, to work finishing the job.  It's not Super Supportive or the Perfect Run or anything, but the prose is smooth and the plot enjoyable.  Perfect Friday night read for blowing off the stress of the week.
