I died. You may think that's simple. But trust me. Someone looked at me from above and told: you will die today. Because they had a plan. Edit: To be on the safe side I added more content warnings.

I'm enjoying what I'm reading so far. The main character is an old man who's lived a fulfilling life and of course, meets an untimely--oh wait--"timely" death that sends him to another world to become its savior.
The style is told from a first-person perspective and it's a multi-character point-of-view story with character viewpoints changing mid-chapter, though these are easily identifiable. It's unconventional from RR standards which is third person omnipotent most of the time, however, the perspective shifts work in this story's favor, providing readers with more in-depth looks at characters' emotions and thoughts.
The story is interesting and takes the approach of most dungeon-core adventures with most of the time spent developing and reinforcing the dungeon. Seeing how he adjusts to the new environment around him is interesting because unlike most isekai protagonists, this guy has already lived a lifetime. He's got life lessons under his belt that will aid him in his journey that most have to learn along the way.
The grammar is decent, with a few minor errors, but the author is very receptive to feedback and fixes them pretty quickly.
The characters are really fun, and I found myself enjoying the MC's interactions with Hrrin'a the most. They have a good back and forth going and the banter is light hearted. They're budding romance is cute, but I'm wondering what his wife is going to think if she ever finds out lol. I would love to see a chapter with her just berating him if they ever see each other again.
Overall, this is a great dungeon core story with some humorous and unique conventions that allow it to stand out from the crowd.

In The Castle in the Middle of Nowhere, Theon, the protagonist, starts as an old man who dies after being hit by a truck while grocery shopping. He wakes up in darkness and is greeted by an angel who offers him a deal; if he helps the Divine, his wife and kids will be sent to heaven when they die.

Grammar score 5/5: The grammar is excellent, with clear and concise writing that is easy to follow. The author pays great attention to detail and has crafted a well-written novel that is free of any grammatical errors.
Character score 5/5: The characters are well-developed and unique, each with their own personalities and motivations. The protagonist, Theon, is a relatable and likable character, and his journey is both inspiring and entertaining. Hrrin'a is also a great character, their first interaction was greatly entertaining.
In conclusion, The Castle in the Middle of Nowhere is a fantastic LitRPG novel that is well worth the read. The author has created a fascinating world filled with magic, monsters, and adventure, and the characters are complex and multi-dimensional. I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves dungeon crawling and epic fantasy adventures! ♥

I can honestly say I love this series.  For those just browsing through reviews, wary of the harem tag, it really isnt the most front and center thing and not horribly done.  Though some women do fall a bit to the wayside the main draw of this story is in the action and development of Arcadia.  Being able to see so much progress and forward thinking is a treat and the only complaint I really have is that the chapters dont come out quicker.  You get to see a man who has already lived a full life and is super competent with knowledge from around 2080 just utterly wreck house.  I have got to say my favorite part of this series is the diplomacy and just seeing how outclassed everyone is when compared to Arcadia.  Out MC’s power is also restricted in a great way in that he can’t leave the borders of his/his subordinates dungeons so he cant just go around smiting everyone.  He has to build an army and keep the land he takes.  As we get farther into the story we also get a nice amount of intrigue and mysteries about the world and I just cant wait for more! (BTW Grammar is basically flawless)

In one respect the author has been caught by his own cleverness. Something is happening in the early chapters which isn't made obvious, and as a result it's easy to mistake the tone of the story by the first 15 - 20 chapters - this is the reason for so many poorer reviews in the early chapters. Keep reading the story if you want to find out what's really going on (not a spoiler, the author says this himself in the early chapters).
On the whole this is a decent Isekai story, with strong elements of a slice of life tale, at least at the beginning. There is some degree of an OP main character early on, but so far I'm enjoying the story. I have seen a complaint that it can get a bit difficult keeping track of everything without a map and with so many characters, which I would agree with, but not to the point that it really impacted my enjoyment of the story.
It's definitely worth giving this one a try

I had this review a long time coming. I've been a reader since almost the start. I had parts that I really liked and others that I found a bit hard to enjoy.
The harem aspect is a bit... iffy. A few feel kind of forced at first, but then it's hard not to be fond of them as they interact both with the MC, the other wives, and the world around them. I really appreciate that they are fully developed and not just trophies to bring out once in a while. The fact that each of them has their own strengths and preferences.
The world, honestly, feels big. So many other places, both in their native dimension and the others they stumble upon, make it so that there's always more, without becoming a never-ending loop of "another peak to reach out for."
The development of Arcadia goes a bit in weird directions, but honestly, the more technical parts are shown enough to prove that yes, the people know what they're doing. I love it whenever we get a look at any normal person's day-to-day as a comparison.
So... honestly? I like it a lot. I tend to be up to date, just saying.

This story has one of the most entertaining MC coming into systems I've read in a while. Being able to literally deliever the MC into the plot is something ironic that I really appreciated.
The story so far has been very fast-paced, introducing new characters almost every chapter. But there is consistency in it, and that's people being slapped by elves. Which depending on who you are, might be your thing. And based on the Elf's description. It's probably mine.
Give it a read, you won't be disappointed!

The Castle In The Middle Of Nowhere has a fairly traditional isekai dungeon core plot. Man dies, goes to new world, becomes a dungeon. Nice and simple. There are some formatting and grammar issues, but I'm still giving five stars for the content.
I binged through the first eleven chapters of the story and I'm looking forward to more. The world that Theon has been brought to sounds like a civil nightmare where even royalty is struggling in some aspects. The characters from outside Avalon, the MC's dungeon, paint a vivid picture of what kind of society the country has devolved into.
As I read, I hope to see more about the other dungeons and how they're made more bloodthirsty by a specific group of people and, perhaps, see Avalon expand into those dungeon's territories.

Overall: Stick with it - the storytelling from the MC's POV evolves over time for intriguing plot reasons I can't spoil here!
Style: I enjoy first POV, and I realized that the MC's way of thinking about everything that is happening at first is influenced by his overall level and skills in the new world makes the style enjoyable. We also get to see other POVs later on in the chapters, which add evidence that this world could definitely use a dungeon like Theon.
Grammar: I appreciate the honesty and transparency that English is not the author's first language, but above that I can definitely see great effort is taken by the author to make suggested changes when noted by followers. I also think the grammar comes a long way (and again a lot of it is plot-specific).
Story: I like that the MC makes mistakes from time to time. He's not infallible. He also even reflects back and grows and improves (literally and figuratively!) The story also pokes fun at tropes. In the later chapters, I am seeing more action, knowing that not all is well in this new world. Take them down, Theon!
Character Score: There are distinct characters that come together to work well together in Avalon, despite having really tragic pasts. I think Marie is my absolute favorite character, although I consider her as one with Mr. Fluffles! If anything happens to them... Ian has also grown on me!
2023-06-29: No change to any ratings, but I'm still catching up on the chapters. :)

I've read many kingdom building stories and several harem stories, and I feel that this story does a great job of mixing the two.
The beginning several chapters have quite a lot of grammar issues, but gets better over time.
Theon building his kingdom is a great ride, and there are so many characters to enjoy and despise.
Besides the grammar, my only critique is that the litRPG elements fade away the longer the story goes! In the earlier chapters it was always a dopamine hit seeing what unlocks and powers he got! Anyways keep up the good work! Thank you!
