STUB NOTICE: BOOKS ONE, TWO, AND THREE ARE NO LONGER ON RR OR PATREON. I HAD TO REMOVE THEM IN ORDER TO PUBLISH TO KINDLE. THAT SAID, BOOKS ONE AND TWO ARE AVAILABLE ONKINDLE, KU, AND AUDIBLE.
Morgan was a technician upon the Arkship,Pilgrim-9, bound for the Tau Ceti solar system. He wasn't ready for what would happen when the ship arrived. He wasn't prepared for a seemingly omniscient "System" to take control of his life and thrust him into some sort of proving ground. He just wanted to survive, figure things out, and get back to the rest of the colonists, wherever they may be.
What happens when a few thousand humans are thrust into a world with magical Energy and hostile entities with unimaginable abilities? How will Morgan and his friends cope with the trials and tribulations? Will they grow in power, solving the mysteries of their new world and beyond, or will they succumb to the many forces aiming to impose their will upon the newcomers?
This LitRPG serial will follow the lives of Morgan, Bronwyn, Olivia, and others as they work to survive, explore and grow in a fantastical world.
Note to SciFi lovers:This book is pretty traditional fantasy after the first chapter. I mention this because the intro makes it sound like it has a lot of SciFi, but it doesn't.

- Vipet10429Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0Great series. Can't put it down. Read the first book on Amazon, and was pleased to see it contour here! Characters are fun and well developed, with both a magic and cultivation system. has mostly a fantasy theme with some sci-fi thrown in. Looking forward to continue reading this series.
- Xerxes145Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0For a genre that is oversaturated with low-quality writing and bland characters, this work stands out as a hidden gem solely on the basis of its superior prose and plot. It's not anything revolutionary and it follows the fairly standard tropes of a mass migration cultivation novel, but it definitely reads well when compared to what's out there. I've devoured the first 2 books and I'm already starting the third. If you've been struggling to find another good entry in the genre, give this book a read.
A lot of people comment on the disappointing turn away from the original sci-fi themes and the unnatural ignorance of the characters, but their decisions always felt natural and human to me, and the sci-fi doesn't need to be a focus for the story to succeed. I did notice that the character development and dialogue can feel artificial or superficial at times, but it's made up for by the tightly-constructed plot that is a nice contrast from the often formless and mushy feel of other works. - DrakilianRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Love the setting and concept, the different POVs aren't grating and the world is very interesting to explore. Looking forward to seeing where it takes us.
Note that the sci-fi start isn't really relevant to the story, but I consider it a good thing - the setting is a firm fantasy cultivation civilization with technology taking a backseat seemingly because the system wants people to be entirely reliant on it for all conveniences instead of being able to do those things themselves. - bobd785Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0Okay so first of all I know this review is a bit premature. I'll try to update it after more chapters are added, but I enjoyed the first chapter so much that I had to talk about it.
Style: So far we start out with something that looks like a classic Sci Fi story, and lays some good groundwork into the science of this world. However, there is a LitRPG aspect to it that I think is going to be really cool. The storytelling is good so far, and feels very polished in my opinion. It's a 3rd person narrative that flows smoothly.
Story: The basic premise is a colony ship approaching their destination when things go wrong in a very LitRPG way. Again, I know it's early, but there is a lot of promise and I can't wait to get into the LitRPG stuff from the perspective of futuristic humans from an advanced society. There is also a very logical reason for the main character to be separated from the masses and stand out in the future, which is nice to see. Basically, it seems to me like the author is taking care to have reasonable explanations for the common LitRPG tropes.
Grammar: This is only the first chapter and I will tell you that I'm not a stickler for grammar. That being said, I didn't notice any errors at all. This is either edited, or the author is very good at proof reading. Maybe others will find mistakes, but I didn't.
Character: We only have two so far with the focus on the main character, but I think the author does a good job. We really just get a quick look at Morgan to start out, but so far he feels like a real person with distinct thoughts and feelings, but I just haven't gotten a chance to know him yet.
Overall, I am extremely excited for this story. I know there is not much yet, but this is going in a direction that I am looking forward to. There are some Sci Fi LitRPGs out there, but this one feels fresh to me with the way it is set up. I'm not usually an early reader, but I decided to try this one out on a whim, and now I will be impatiently waiting for upda - HookedontheskyRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0So, first of all, I want to clarify that this is a standard LitRPG. The summary makes it seem like there might be more SciFi elements, but that's not the case after the first few chapters. I'd suggest to the author to maybe amend the summary a bit, I think a lot of negative reviews are from people who come here expecting more scifi and then leave dissappointed. I've enjoyed it for what it is, a well written litRPG story, and that's what I'm rating it as.
I've enjoyed the story, and I think it's an above average litRPG (well-written, doesn't fall into too many cliches, an enjoyable power progression), so that's why I'm rating it overall: 5/5
Style: 5/5
I think it does multiple POVs well. Some foreshadowing still needs to be resolved, but for now, foreshadowing seems to be done well. I don't think there's an especially unique style here, but for this kind of story, there doesn't need to be one - it's pretty straightforward, which is good for a litRPG.
Story: 4.5/5
It's generally good, the plot arcs get resolved in a satisfying way, and the different POVs make it possible to show the wider world and different mini arcs that end up being important later. That said, I gave it 4.5 stars (and gave the character score 4/5) because one POV just isn't as interesting as the rest. I'll talk about it a bit more in the characters section because I think a lot of it has to do with that character, but overall it's not fun when you have to force yourself a bit to go through one POV. I mean, it's not that the character is uninteresting, I just enjoy it less than the other POVs
I thought it was main character bias at first (I tend to "imprint" on one, main character haha), but that wasn't the case. In the second book, we get another POV in a magic school arc, and that one I really enjoyed! It was extremely well done, and I'm a sucker for magic schools.
So yeah, besides that one gripe, the story is well plotted out and enjoyble. The pacing is good, and there's a good mix of battles and - PatrikZRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I love this story. It has some good worldbuilding, not a huge amount of plot armour and some interesting points of view. I also enjoy the foresight and planning the author has. Some have complained about the multiple points of view but I think that is short sighted, in the long run they have definitely added to the story to.make it fuller.
- BonedaddyxRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Fantastic writing! I love the setting of the story and the attention to detail. Its immersive and the scope of it really draws you in, great work! I'm looking forward to future chapters and how it all pans out in the end. It's been awhile since i've actually sat down and read a story, I'm usually listening to an audiobook, so this is a good change of pace.
- graziamkRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This book is kind of right up my alley - I can actually identify with most of the decisions and perpectives of two of the MCs (there are three rotating point of views). Those two MCs are neither too intellectual, nor too "muscle headed", they aren't socipaths, etc.; they are pretty normal and straightforward, easy to identify with and get invested in. The transition between the three narratives is rather well done: it is only mildly jarring (some other novels are very jarring and I usually drop those, can't really stand their shifthing perspectives), and the three perspectives start converging (and less jarring) as the chapters progress.
The class system is good, but not the best I've seen out there. Ditto for worldbuilding (specifically, the actual world the first novel takes place in). No complaints. Not sure if the book would benefit from more details about the word...I think I would welcome it, but it would shift the tone of the novel, which is pretty tightly focused on the MCs.
If I could distinguishs the "universe building" from the "world building," I would say that the universe the author created is above "good" - he has introduced some very good concepts, even if that universe has not been fleshed it out yet. The magic and cultivation systems are very good, one of the better (and more coherent) I've recently seent. Lastly, Kudos on the seamless and organic integration between cultivation and magic (and - though a smaller focus till now - science).
No noticeable logic holes (hate those; waaay too common in other authors, IMO). The MCs are a bit overpowered, IMO, and I would like to see a slower progression (giving themime to polish/optimize their skills), but that would meand at least adding 50% (and maybe doubling) the length of this story. - demionRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Guys, you should try it out! It is one of my favourite stories on RR right now! I binge read everything here, joined Patreon and did the same there^^
Both main characters have some nice character development, the side characters show potential and the way the story is going so far is very promising.
A great combination of adventure & adventure..
...combined with some base building and possible future faction interaction (wars, diplomacy, politics...).
The effects of/interactions with the "big bad" system are also well thought of (good class/skill system, promising base setup).
Looking forward to see the further progress! - Brentford GriffinRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Hey plum we’ve spoken before but I’d just like to say I absolutely love your victor of tucson books And can’t wait for Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday anyway you’ve definitely got a massive Five stars from me .
