- PickelRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This is a really interesting story, with an interesting magic system and well written characters. Really the only negative thing I can say about it is the slow release speed. The main character experiences some character growth, although it's hard to tell with so few chapters. Word requirement. Word requirement. Word requirement. Word requirement.
- writermanRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I'd say this is a good story. Good enough for 5 stars. In an advanced review, a few categories would be less than that. But I'm not doing an advanced review.
SO, the main character is a spirit. A ball thing for now since his way of advancement is different from normal.
Stealing souls for mana generation. Though he only has 1 extra for now.
So, for me it's a good story. I'm not sure about for others, but this is one that appeals to me.

Yay! I would be happier if more chapters were released, but I know personally how long it takes to make them. Soooo, I'm still happy. If a bit annoyed when I find the 'Next Chapter' button is greyed out. - MU.Royal Road★★★★ 3.5It's my first time writing a review, this is also my first royalroad book in ages(as you can see by the totally new account) so I may not give the best points.
I've read 10 chapters, up to a significant event taking place in the story so far. However the story lacks any plot so far, which is the main point I think it falls short on. Other things like worldbuilding and details are issues but it's only chapter 10, so it's still not the biggest issue.
The story has an interesting dynamic going on that I do appreciate and get behind. But nothing significant has happened and I see no semblance of an actual story. No one has any goals(that we know of) and most characters besides the mc are still hard to care for as they barely have dialogue. Fix this and bring in an actual plot, and I think I will be much more interested in progress and seeing the story move forward.
Not sure if the first contractor of the mc was supposed to be a plot device or an actual person, but I was really confused when he abruptly died from a single punch. The story for that seemed interesting too as they viewed spirits as devils, I would've loved to know what led them to view spirits as such.
The first contractors story was ridiculously short, yet it gave him a goal and it created an interesting premise, which this second contractor frankly doesn't have. Chapter 7-10 start to finally give some more character depth, with him not being flat and developing frustration and spite for the mc, which they will have to build towards fixing. Add a goal and backstory maybe, and I can get behind the premise much easier and see a plot moving.
I also think the story he has with Lord Levi is a step in the right direction to a plot but again, a plot without any goals the characters work towards is pointless. Rather than an obstacle in the characters journey, it just feels like a fly trying to bite a stationary target.
I say all this because I genuinely want the author to improve the story and to know more about t
