When the ship that Avery was first mate on was wrecked by a Kraken, you’d think that would have been the worst thing that could have happened to him. You’d be wrong.
Sure, he didn’t drown and he ended up on a nice beach. But it was nowhere near where the ship went down. And there was a strange guy on the beach called Armood who offered him a way to get home, if he just carried out a few tasks for him, nothing too difficult for a smart guy like Avery…
So now he’s sitting on a beach holding the world’s most important chicken egg and wondering what exactly happened. And what he was going to have to do if he ever wanted to get home again.

The main character is a calm and confident young man who is determined to follow his own path, no matter what life throws his way. He has a strong moral code that guides his decisions and actions, something that is clearly demonstrated from the start. His companion is an enigmatic figure who appears to have a strong connection to the supernatural. This mysterious person brings with them an aura of danger, something that our protagonist is keenly aware of and yet drawn towards in spite of the risks it poses.
The journey that the two take is a thrilling and dramatic one, as they travel great distances and face numerous challenges. Along the way, they meet a wide variety of characters who both help and hinder them in their quest. Some are allies while others are enemies, adding to the suspense and intrigue of the story.
The chapter ends on a cliffhanger, leaving readers wanting more. It is clear that there are more secrets and hidden dangers lurking in the shadows of this story. With the mix of elements in place, I am eagerly anticipating the next chapter and what lies ahead for our intrepid hero. The main character is a normal kind of guy, it seems, but there's definitely a bit more to the other main character! Curious to see where it is going and what develops, looking forward to reading more!
