In a desperate bid to show his worth amongst his fellow Court Mages, a certain mage fires his summoning spell earlier than intended—and it misfires. Instead of a great [Hero], he drags forth a [Demon Lord]—those who rule over the entirety of the demon populace and court death itself. Realizing his mistake, he severs the contract before the girl can awaken to her true potential, abandoning her to die in a foreign land.

But Rena doesn’t die.

Stranded in the wilderness, stripped of whatever blessing the summon had briefly granted her, she does what she must to survive. She kills. And she grows stronger. Then, she realises she’s in demon territory; turns out demons are just the same as humans, living their lives to the fullest.

The more she learns, the more she questions: who are the real monsters?

Because out there, somewhere—somewhere—two gods are pulling the strings…
