The Primordial will bring the End of Realms.Find him! Purge him! Burn him to Ash!
Ekavir is a hardworking lumberjack's son. It isn't his fault crows speak in eldritch voices when he walks through the forest, or that his bloodred eyes leave the village kids shaking in their shoes. He might be the latest incarnation of a dreaded god, but he never asked for that. He doesn't evenknow.
When knights arrive hunting for the Ender of Realms, Vir loses his idyllic life along with his chance to be anything else. To grow strong enough to survive, he'll have tobecomethe Primordial.
There's just one problem: Vir can't do magic. Not even the simplest spells to light a fire or conjure a breeze.
To take back control of his destiny, Vir will have to forge his own path, and he'll have to do it while running, fighting, and clawing for survival.
It might be that Vir is destined to live out his days without magic...Or maybe his brand of magic just defies all the known rules.

- Nameless32Royal Roadâ â â â â 5.0Let me preface this review by saying that this story is by no means perfect. As with almost every story on this site, it has the little flaws here and there that you'd expect serialized fiction to have. Sometimes the pace goes a little fast, sometimes the exposition is a bit lengthy, etc.
But when you're five hundred pages in, eyes glued to the screen, two hours past when you said you'd stop reading, all of those flaws kind of fall to the wayside. You want to know what happens next. You want to witness as the main characters grow past their limits and delve into new realms of power.
Because on a site filled with progression fantasy, Ashborn Primordial is progression incarnate.
There's only two stories that I've read that might top the sheer progression crack that this fiction produces, and their names are Cradle and Iron Prince. If that doesn't tell you exactly what type of story you're getting into, I don't know what will.
In a unique world inspired by eastern mythologies (but not the eastern mythologies you're thinking of), Vowron weaves together the classic zero-to-hero journey in the absolute best way. He distills all the elements of those tropes that made us love them in the first place, while leaving behind most of the dregs. I'm usually not that big a fan of the 'chosen one' trope, but Ashborn Primordial is one of the rare stories that not only pulls it off in satisfying way, but actively leverages the reasoning behind the thing to explore new, interesting conflicts and character crises.
Because despite being chosen -- or rather because of it -- Vir does not have it easy. He also doesn't get trashed on over and over for all eternity, however. He improvises, adapts, and overcomes, and does so sometimes aided by his chosen status, but sometimes by pitting himself against it. That quiet determination that we love to see in MCs is amped up to eleven with Vir, and the story surrounds him with other characters that play off of that to the nth degree. He did.
Ashborn Primordial has that same page-turning, unputdownableness (not a word but it should be) that books like Cradle and Iron Prince. The progression element is a ton of fun, with constant growth and cool new abilities around the corner, and ones Vir will need to master if heâs to overcome all those that would stand in his way. All this comes together in an awesome world that takes inspiration from Indian mythology. The story is also filled with artwork of the characters and the world, making for an amazingly immersive read.
Character â Virâs a strongly written character with agency that keeps the story moving quickly. He cares about the people around him and is determined to get stronger and overcome adversity. Maiya is your classic red-headed female lead, an inclusion all good fantasy stories should have. She starts off as a bit of a princess with a soft spot for Vir, but quickly develops into something more.

Style â The story is well written and fast paced. Vowron uses many invented terms that add to the mythology heâs created.
Story â This is the tale of a badass main character becoming truly badass. Itâs well thought out, well plotted, with the right amount of tension thatâs often lacking from these kinds of stories.
Grammar â If there are errors, I didnât notice them. The authors clearly put a ton of effort into editing and proofing.
Overall, if youâre looking for progression fantasy, you canât go wrong with this. I highly recommend that you give at least the first arc a go. - Chaen225Royal Roadâ â â â â 5.0This is one of the best novels that I've ever read. The moment I saw the ad while reading The Harvester, I knew that it would be interesting.
I love the way Vir is portrayed in the story. The way he goes from weak to strong, as he learns talents, and learns how to use his weapon most effectively. Most of all, I love his ash prana. Though I do wonder if ash prana is primordial prana, why is it so scarce? Isn't primordial prana made up of all other prana put together? Well, I hope my questions will be answered as the story goes on.
The only things that I did not like in this story thus far are Vir's naivety, his cluelessness on matters aside from battle, and Maiya's attitude.
Vir's naivety can be explained due to his upbringing, coupled with the type of person who raised him, but I feel like he is too kind for his own good. Just like during the visit to the town arc when he took pity on the merchants.
His cluelessness on matters aside from battle can be explained due to his previous poverty status, but that cannot be forgiven now that he is living with Raiyan. Even if he doesn't know Raiyan's actual status, he at least knows that Raiyan is very rich. This simply means that Raiyan is a treasure trove of knowledge which leads to Raiyan having books on the world. Though, some may that he didn't have time due to his training. But it is well-known that "Knowledge is power". Thus, I hope that he improves on that.
My problem regarding Maiya's attitude, unfortunately, won't be explained because I don't want to earn the ire of the author and other readers.
All in all, this is a great story and I hope that my review helps others pick it up as well. Thank you. - Ashish choudharyRoyal Roadâ â â â â 5.0This shit is really good, as expected of vow. More updates later.
50 words neended, may werd god bless thee
may werd god bless thee, may werd god bless thee, may werd god bless thee, may werd god bless thee
That's enough blessing for you, now gimme a bigass, badass, longass fiction. Magnus' epicness has raised the bar, the first chappie is upto standard, hoping you'll just make this better. - CrispymouseRoyal Roadâ â â â â 5.0The author has some stellar artwork to go with various chapters that really flesh out the story. The story is well placed and there isn't any huge info dumps that you have to wade through.
So far it has been a fun read with no major grammar or spelling errors.
I'm looking forward to binge the rest of what is out. - BitOfCodeRoyal Roadâ â â â â 5.0Book good. I like.
Anyways, review must be atleast 50 words long so I just gotta say, this book is awesome and I like it but... I guess I already said I like it so I'm gonna say I love it!
I still needed a few more words :(
Good job writing such an awesome book! - DestroyerXLRoyal Roadâ â â â â 5.0First, style. Vowron Prime writes a really badass story(forgive my language). The environment is carefully thought out, and the story leads perfectly into the major scenes. The foreshadowing is just subtle enough that you might instinctually expect something, but it's never enough to consciously make you understand something's going to happen. Just the perfect amount of foreshadowing leads you through the story, making sure you never get bored, never stop reading until you see that damn greyed out next chapter button. Story is next. Vowron put a lot of thought into his story. There aren't really any holes in the plot. The story flows and you can't feel any breaks in it, and yet it doesn't tell you what's going to happen next. Grammar. Vowron Prime wrote Magnus, an amazing series that he posted on Royal Road when he wrote it. He has major experience in writing, and it shows here. His grammar is en pointe. Character. The characters are thought out really well. They have brains, which you don't see all the time-you sometimes have brain dead characters that just do things for the sake of the plot-and they have charisma. Maybe not always to the other characters in the book, but definitely to the reader.
Vowron, thank you for writing this book, man. It's an amazing read, on par with Magnus. - DetroxRoyal Roadâ â â â â 5.0What hooked me at first was the art of words making the scenes lively and realistic. This author is able to create very interesting world which I am eager to read and see what is going to happen next.
The characters are enjoyable so far, with MC being the most prominent, though I am courious about the ghost or the other foreshadowed beings.
That brings up my only problem with the story, the predictable opening tropes. At first it was barely noticable, but after making a recount, there were a lot of the "most common" tropes how to open a fantasy story all mashed together.
Still worth 5 stars so far with its quality far above the average on RR - Codes247Royal Roadâ â â â â 5.0This story is so packed ideas, character growth, and aventerous story concepts that I am surprised this is free to read. The main character has a hard life being shunned by almost everyone. Yet even with the hard life he had been given he doesnt let that stop him from being overly curious and on extremely hard worker. Even with all of his growth the story shows glimpses of his future goal making you question a little if he will be able to make it. If you find you like this series I would suggest also reading the cradle series books.
- NoTailorRoyal Roadâ â â â â 5.0Starting off strong and seems like it should be an epic journey to follow! Characters are starting off good and hopefully grow and advance well, progression is just about starting and I'm excited to see more of the worlds magic and fighting systems. This review needs to be 50 words ya dig.
