Description

In an age where advanced medical experiments have evolved past their limits, a new radical virus runs rampant throughout the world. Plagued by death, with little hope for a cure, the earth has become a dystopian world where we are no longer the apex predator. The virus dissolves your very consciousness until you become a flesh hungry monster known as a Reaper - an incredibly strong being with powers beyond imagination. The only thing standing between mankind and total extinction is the Midnight Special Ops Team; human-reaper hybrids that have enabled mankind to fightback and reclaim their world. Heavily outnumbered, the remnants of mankind group together to salvage whatever is left - that is if they don't kill each other first...

I was a little hesitant to read this since I thought this was just going to be another bloodfest with little value to it, but I was WRONG! The author has a strength in world development as well as dialogue. Story feels very organic and transitions very well. I'm up to date with the chapters as of today and can say that it's definitely got my attention. It's not just about death and gore, but there's an actual story happening around it all that I feel has quite some depth to it as the author releases more chapters. I gave a 4.5 for the character score not because the characters are bad, but the author is taking their time with fleshing out the characters so we don't have quite everything as of yet about them.
Not sure what nationality the author is, but the English and grammar is spot on. No distracting issues to pull you out of the story or hinder it. The action scenes have great imagery so it's easy and enjoying to follow along.
I thought the naming convention was weird at first but it grew one me(they go by numbers, not actual names). There is an importance and also a deeper layer to them being stripped of their names that I'm sure we'll get more of as we get further into the story.
Looking forward to seeing how this work progresses.
    Great job so far! ^.^

The pacing is really good. The action is well blended with the narrative so it perfectly wraps you in the author's head; mental images of everything as it unfolds.
Right from chapter 1 the author does a great job at throwing you head first into the action. Be warned that there are a few more gory parts haha.
Well worth the read! Following for more
