The book feels like an entire world of it's own, a lot and I mean a lot of effort most have gone into world-building. This even shows in the writing style used by the author.
The characters are real, and bloody fleshed out. Speaking of blood and flesh, the disclaimers show their purpose for being there. The author makes every fight, feel brutal and visceral. Really impressive work.
I can already tell, it won't be long before this gets proper publication.
    Keep up the good work.

If you've ever took a swim in the ocean through a kelp patch for miles constantly getting dragged down by the heavy leaves, then finally grasping into the open sea.  Feeling like you are floating once more, having almost forgotten what it felt like to swim. This story feels like that years of shitty Litrpg, system bullshit using progression to cover up shitty writing finally coming to an end. F*cking gold right here.

This story leaves me in a weird spot when it comes to a review. I love the story, but after years of reading, mediocre and extra fast paced stories, this falls outside the norm of what I subject myself to.
Couple of points for whoever reads this review:
    1. High level vocabulary. You can expect well written descriptions. Beautiful paragraphs setting the mood and tone of the story. The kind of writing that my dumb brain needs a dictionary on the side for almost every chapter, because no that is actually a word... Thank you author for teaching me some archaic English XD
    2. Content warnings. Most stories have them, not many really mean it. This... Has disturbing content as advertised. Maybe not conceptually different to other stories that warn of gore and stuff, but with extreme detail in the writing, it gives a whole different feeling. Not for the sensitive readers for sure.
    3. Pacing. With vivid depictions of scenery and other details, comes a lot of words. If you have a TikTok fuelled attention span, you may not necessarily enjoy they fact that half a chapter will slowly trudge along, setting the mood for the scene. Personally, even though it takes effort, I enjoy the lifelike feeling author creates when reading this.
Tldr: great story, but not the best fit for the platform. I can imagine plenty of users being mad about the slow pace, the difficult language, sensitive topics, ect.
Read at your own risk, god forbid you learn to enjoy reading long sentences 😂

From the start, the scenery and pace are on point, the action is sudden and swift. The characters, the range and depth, shows how much thought were put into the story. Sometimes, it's hard for me to find a story to my liking because I'm so very picky, but this one meets all the requirements and does a fine job of keeping my interest. I can't wait to delve deeper into the mysteries of both gods and man.

This is an excellent story. The world feels unique and vivid, the writing quality is excellent, the characters are interesting, and the story keeps getting better. Overall, it's a unique take on the progression genre and I'm excited to see where it goes from here! That said, the grimdark and horror tags are accurate. If those elements don't appeal to you then this story may not be for you.

This story slaps. Like, a meaty slap across the face, and oh Lord above, it's good. Ahem. Let me explain, prospective reader, why you should give this story a go.
Style: Highlight this story. Well done on the prose. Not only does it roll off the mind easily, but it is captivating and vivid. Do not underestimate the Gore tag, it is tastefully done, and I found myself immersing myself in the finely crafted words describing such visceral scenes. It grips your attention, makes your heart pump, and fills you with emotion. Chapter 9 was really good in that latter aspect.
Story: Oh boy, this is grim. But not Warhammer 40k grim, but still pretty bleak. That is a good thing, and the author has put a lot of thought into making it tasteful. From the get-go, the story insinuates something larger in its world-building, and I think it'll be worth the wait for readers to explore more of this story. There's a lot of love in the culture presented, and other things keep me intrigued.
Grammar: Not my line of expertise, but I have found no glaring errors that take away from the experience. Perhaps some minor tidbits that can be easily fixed with Grammarly, but overall, pretty good.
Character/s: The characters feel real, and their emotions are palpable. How the author describes them speaks of great talent and understanding of people. Odessa is a fine MC, her desires are believable and relatable, and readers will be eager to learn more about her. So far, there are plenty of minor characters to follow, and I think with continued writing, the author can truly give each of them a chance to shine.
Overall, this story scratches an itch, and I'm eager to see more.

Man must bend hi knee to the gods, but what happens when that knee can bend no more?
OVERALL: I think this novel is definitely worth cracking open and giving look!
STYLE: There's a great mix of normal, flowing prose during calmer scens and fast-paced rapid prose during action scenes. At risk of sounding like a games journalist, you can feel the frantic panic of the MC when things get dire. The only thing I'd warn people about is that the gore warning is there for a reason. Things get bloody.
STORY: From even the first chapter you get an immediate feel for how bleak the world is. We're given a clear view of the culture, the theology (there's a lot of gods to worry about), and the overall color (its grey if you're wondering) of the world right off the bat. BIG things happen in the first few chapters, the kinds of things that throw waves that'll be bouncing around the novel's world for an incredibly long time.
GRAMMAR: Pretty great overall. The only issues I spotted were some weirdly constructed phrases here and there and a few missing/inappropriately placed commas. Its nothing that'll gum up your reading though, so don't worry.
CHARACTER: I'll avoid spoilers, but every character that's appeared up to know is well characterized and believable. Within moments of them appearing you have a sense of who they are, how they feel, and even how they'll act given the situation without falling into cliche. This may sound a little basic to mention, but such succinct characterization is a skill that many gloss over.

I get the idea of suspension of disbelief. Still, I expect the author to provide some help with it, as part of the story, within the context of the world. Currently I can't help thinking "your heroine (should have) died immobile from anemia/dehydration/starvation/multiple injuries in the first chapters and yet you keep writing". Eating or drinking something at desperate times doesn't have to be be boring, in fact it can help better communicate the character's desperation. Here this is, not absent, but an afterthought.
So, although it's quite a decent story, with a nice premise, it still makes me unable to enjoy it because I feel the author enjoys describing battles too much and minutiae not enough. I'll keep at it a little more, hoping it will pick up soon, but if not I'll unfollow.
