Description
When freshly-graduated Dr. Selva Imroth accepted a short job from her former doktormutter, she had expected to interview a few PhD washouts and write a report to the Dean. Unfortunately for Selva, everything in her life has to be an ordeal.

I hadn't planned on doing NaNoWriMo, but then on Halloween night I was sharing an old plot bunny with a new friend and realized, "oh shit I can actually use this." So, here we are. Thanks, friend. In true NaNoWriMo fashion, I will not be using my typical editing process here, and will instead simply vomit words onto your screen as quickly as possible, trying valiantly to avoid asking myself "oh my god who CARES" because tangents are important to wordcount.

- QuazzyRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0A delightful little story, doubly so if you're someone who likes DnD- or has at least absorbed some of the surrounding culture through osmosis. It takes a fantasy world, with ALL of the "little" quirks the 3.5e rule system brings with it, and asks "how would society actually develop with this in play?" Everything that can be broken is broken (I'm delightfully surprised that pun-pun hasn't struck yet), and the author somehow weaves it into a coherent story. Would recommend.
- baelrathRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0As someone who doesn't have indepth knowledge of DnD, i'm taking most of this on faith that is plausible or potentially accurate. But who cares.
Its hilairious. The dialouge is downright amazing. You'll be laughing every chapter.
Sure its OP as fuck, but who cares. You're showing up for the story and the humor i promise you.
It seems the story might be dead, which would be a shame, because it should be its own skit its that funny!
I'm trying to write enough words because advanced reviews score better and everyone needs to read this delightful romp through the ages.
I wonder if i'm close to the limit yet?
Ah well, if you're reading this far, there could be some that say this is a wish fulfillment story... so what? its awesome and funny. I think ive said that seventeen times but seriously. Its so funny i'm still chuckling writing this.
Dear Planar gods do i still have to write more? Fine!
Style, fast paced DnD research romp that turns to a power grind i think.
Story, its basically a laugh track of what would happen if you gave nerds too much power and they ended up monologuing too much.
Grammar, no issue, flowed so well you wouldn't notice it it did.
Characters, my gosh they hilarious. If i had an advisor like this, i'd have multiple PhD's regardless of the fact i don't like academia. - s44Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0In which 3.5e arcane caster minmaxers of the academic sort battle the forces of... other, lesser varieties of munchkinism.
Hilarious and fun - light amusement of the best sort. Some knowledge of D&D is probably optimal.
(apparently I need more words to submit a review... help! help! I'm being repressed) - TheLeakingPenRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.54 chapters in, and so far I am having a blast. The litRPG elements of using D&D 3.5 are worked in very organically to speech and actions, no stat blocks or character sheets. The characters have their own voices and interaction between the two current main characters is nice and fluid, with excellent banter. The story is just beginning to resolve the long term mystery, and I am here for it!
