- Aiphos MlehRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Really good story, loving it so far. I like how the author is handling Ellen’s splits. They’re each developing as independent characters due to differences in choices and experiences, but the author also clearly presents them as reflections of the same person. While they are all following different paths, they are just different ways of fulfilling the “original” Ellen’s fundamental desires. I also really appreciate that all the versions get along; there are plenty of sources of external conflict available, I don’t want to read about infighting. Can’t wait to see how Ellen city (my name, not theirs) develops!

Top 3 creative fictions I have ever read on this site. Mr. Author, please keep going! this is an amazing work and am sure will be one of the top fics on Royal Road.
Grammar, style, character, and plot are all great.
Jesus, i have to write 50 words for a quick review? I cannot even write 50 words to describe myself for a job application! will definately come back and write a longer one later. - Julian MerrowRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Pretty damn solid.
It's early but I trust this author to see this through, I haven't seen any of the city building elements at time of the review (guessing cause of the title/blurb).
The prose is good, its well written and conveys its ideas well. I think the MC is interesting but the thing i like most is the premise and idea. The self splitting and having to cooperate well with both your flaws and strengths is a cool idea, I'd murder my second in a heart beat.
I particularly like the texture of the scenes and doing more show than tell, I get to live this with MC which feels good. - TerribleterritoriesRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Binge read this whole story at work it was so good. It's very obvious from the start that the author knows what they want from the tone of this story and you can feel real intention in every chapter. For a story about a bunch of copies of one person, there's a lot of depth and growth from every single one of them and we're still at the very beginning. I already know this is gonna enter my permanent rotations and already has secured a place on my lock screen, highly recommend!!!
- TingtakRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I've really enjoyed the premise and the start of the story. Ellen is a sympathetic and relatable character and it's fun seeing how different lines of Ellens differentiate, it reminded me of the Bobiverse books.
I enjoy the concept of farmsteading and kingdom building but it also seems hard to execute it well, with the many pitfalls of accidentally creating a world that has aspects that break the immersion for the reader with how the economy or governance works.
I hope that won't be the case for this story and I'm interested to see where this goes. - sloppy flowerRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0The logistics of everything that comes up is handled wonderfully. Im impressed by how this story can give details about how the power system works without hand holding us through it or having awkward info dumps. There are no weird moments with overbearing sensory bombs filled with detail or empty scenes with too little detail that make me wonder where the setting even is. A lot of other stories I have read recently have many grammer issues that have me lost on if the characters are even indoors or out so it's refreshing. The writing style's quality leaves me nothing to complain about.
The premise is very interesting, seeing the differences between the split lives feels unique as the main character switches around and gives a sense that the deaths were actually important without throwing away what we read of them, which is great. It shows how experiences can change her and what can't be changed all without explicitly saying so with unnatural info dumps.
I love the way the author decides what to skip over, always only showing some of the piles of notifications she gets without it being unbelievable that there was really that much more we missed. It would be annoying if there were too many of those and we were subject to the same thing but also feel lazy if there weren't enough and the amount is perfectly between those.
I haven't noticed even a single grammer mistake so far which gives me a sense of trust that the author knows what they are doing and refined the story as good as it can be, there's never even a single time where anything feels like it could be said better or improved, like it's been meticulously read multiple times and improved.
The low stakes makes it fun to read without having me question if better choices could have been made. It's not fun to see a character who infuriates you with their every action. Bringing each character to the spotlight one at a time where they each actually add to the experience is done well. This story deserves praise for the - LectroageRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5If u like a light hearted story with clones, different classes progression, perks like in Vainqueur, and sudden deaths, this is the story for u!
Note: not a lot of action, mostly crafting so far, and unknown whether the story will manage juggling the many MCs in the future.
Further note: just to reach the 50 word minimum. - MichaelOGormanRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5Wow, the first chapter was such a blast to read! An RPG fantasy that's actually a high-stakes comedy of errors? What a whimsical idea and well executed! Ellen is instantly likable because she’s so relatable. Seriously, who hasn't over prepared for something only to fail at the very first hurdle because they were overthinking their equipment?
The ending is a great "wait, what?" moment that perfectly sets up the follow up gimmick. It’s funny, and very well paced. It makes you want to see just how many "Ellens" it’s going to take to kill one single, ridiculous goblin.
The only reason I held back that last half star is because I need to read more to see if the "meat" of the gimmick works. I'm sure it does, but gotta get my eyes on it first. - luxrusRoyal Road★★★ 3.0The story is well written but each chapter, each advancement, each new instance of Ellen feels pointless. The story has no goal and the girl is just throwing her life away over and over again, for little to no gain. The system is kind of lukewarm, and though everything is technically good, the whole story feels aimless. The characters are… fine? I’m not sure what this whole place looks or feels like.
maybe itll be a worthwhile read in 300 chapters.
