- 1Reposed8Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0He's the G.O.A.T. That's why he is the GOAT! GOAT! I know it is quite spontaneous when I write this review but,... in all honesty, I find this lit-rpg, isekai,... but not as a trope but a legit contender to the RR. it is not a BAhhhd take!!! Yes, indeed. You are the GOAT!
- Alec_FRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Honestly, I started reading it on a whim, because of the insane setting, not expecting much. The story, however, turned out to be anything but average. Characters that are, well, real characters and not amorphous blobs of unending internal monologues, drama, plot twists, epic battles. It's quirky, yes, the setting is still insane, the characters ain't no orthodox heroes, but damn, is this thing ever amusing for me.
I'm very happy that I stumbled upon it and gave it a try. - Alex MRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I am the GOAT balances excitement, exploration, and hilarious escapades. Jake must learn to both take care of his people, while advancing in power enough to survive this new hell he’s been reborn into.
With the Jake being a goat, it goes without saying that this isn’t your typical LitRPG. For one thing, he eats a lot of trash. The system is simple yet fun, leading to a cool skill set and evolution path. It starts with action, and the pace doesn’t slow down. At Chapter 12, we’re starting to get a few more clues about the overarching plot—a battle between demons and angels.
The writing is excellent. Marc clearly has a ton of experience in writing, and it infuses the story with a charm and undeniable sense of humour. The banter between characters is great, especially as you start reaching the most recent chapters and the cast expands more.
One of the standout features of this story is the distinctive and strong personalities of its characters. Marc does a great job of moving away from cliches and bringing them to life, making them feel like real (albeit very strange) people.
Overall, I’m enjoying this one a lot and am looking forward to where it goes next. - Coldfang89Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0Digging the story so far. I'm up to chapter 12, so not too far in, but I've been finding it extremely enjoyable. I'm looking forward to reading more when I have the chance.
The story shows strong logic, and the dark humor is top notch. I'm sure a lot of folks will enjoy the humor aspects. - Fijasrules94Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0Jake is interesting, while Bob is a bitch. The mind reading is a bit to wrap your mind around but a cool ass hell skill. Seems a little odd for him claim a territory then immediately leave it in the care of his random army of halfwits. The way the halfwits are added seems interesting but a bit confusing as they're added to his servitude without him being there. Most just not sure how big his army is going to get and what the hell they do when he's gone.
Enjoying it so far just need MOAR :) - Geomancer17Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0At first, I avoided this story. It sounded, frankly, really, really dumb. I mean, reincarnating as a demon goat? That sounded like LOLRandom humor. Eventually, though, I decided to give it a try and I'm glad that I did.
Because while the setting is a little strange, the story shows strong, consistent, internal logic. Thrae is like a demented farm in the darkest of ways, where the animals are the unfeeling overlords that use the farmers, creatures that are intelligent but in extremely limited ways. There are humans that are like dogs, useful and trainable, and then there are chickens, which you just keep in a cage and use them. There's a dark humor that makes the entire setting much more appealing.
So, again, I'm glad I gave this story a try and I think you should as well. - Jack0fheartRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0In 'I am the GOAT,' Jake the Ripper, a cunning swindler, finds himself reincarnated as a fiery, bat-winged, demon-horned goat after his death. Determined to embrace his new form, he enters a fierce competition to become the successor Demon Lord, vowing to burn his way to the top.

Story score 5/5: The story keeps readers on their toes as Jake navigates his new demonic existence, facing unexpected challenges, and discovering the extent of his powers. Incorporating the mysterious system and the prospect of becoming the successor of the Demon Lord creates a great read!
Grammar score 5/5: The grammar is impeccable. The writing flows smoothly with no noticeable errors.
Character score 5/5: The characters are vibrant and multi-dimensional. Jake, the protagonist, undergoes a significant transformation and faces numerous internal struggles as he tries to adapt to his new demonic form. Supporting characters like William and Bob add a lot of depth to the story.
In conclusion, 'I am the GOAT' is a highly entertaining and well-written litRPG comedy that excels in every category. Its engaging style, gripping story, impeccable grammar, and well-defined characters make it a must-read for fans of the genre. I highly recommend this to fans of litRPG looking for a fresh new take! ♥ - Stranger JRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Feels like if cult of the lamb became a story. Pretty good, the mc has a bit grey moral but is relatively good compare to others. I dropped it because it seems like it was going to have some kindom building stuff, which I want none of. Otherwise everything is good.
- VeldorRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I didn't go in with many expectations but my oh my did I really enjoy this. It's just Sooo good. The characters are properly fleshed out, the MC isn't needlessly violent or passive. Again it's just good. Great in fact. A bit short but my fingers are crossed we get a book 2.
- MisterViiRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5This story is a solid LITRPG and well written about a demonic goat, which aims to be the GOAT.
The good things about the story, are the goat, the competition to become the demonic lord, and the planned out story. While there are only 10 chapters out when I read it, the story is engaging and fast paced. No 5 starting chapters about gods or other things that will take forever to loop back to. The story jumps right into things and doesn't drag the arrival in the setting for a long time.
The mobster attitude carrying over is nice. So the personality of the MC is maintained and doesn't become generic. There are no issues with the grammar or the overall flow of the story.
The few issues I have are just the use of sound words like fssh, and understanding the setting a bit better. There is a lot more focus on character interactions and it is the start of the story. I enjoyed the interactions with his followers quite a bit and the fact it is a demonic goat. I hope the goat angle remains a focus, since that is the title of the story.
Overall a solid read by an experienced author, and worth checking out.
