Description
Daniel is just a regular blue collar Maintenance Mechanic working for a manufacturing company. As he's winding down at home from a day of messy work repairing a CNC mill, he is surprised by a sudden glow of light beneath him. And, in an instant, his world changes. Literally.
Daniel finds himself now in the world of Zenkon, a world of fantasy beings and monsters, swords and magic, and perilous threats to the safety of the world. As if stepping into a fantasy light novel or video game, he has been apparently summoned by a sacred magic spell that requests a hero from the gods, and in reply, they sent Daniel and a young Japanese man named Rikuto.
However, Daniel's luck doesn't seem to be good, as it's quickly discovered that, contrary to the nature of living things in the world of Zenkon, Daniel is the only one that possesses no magic or mana, making him immune to many types of magic, both beneficial and detrimental, but not protecting him from direct harm.
As such, Daniel will now have to find his way through this world using his own repair and manufacturing know-how, while Rikuto uses his own modern civics and economics knowledge to try to recover the Kingdom of Mornistae in the midst of a large scale global war.
Why were they summoned, and by what wisdom did the gods choose to send 'Divine Heroes'; one with magic and the other without, to a world of which the foundation is magic?

And it also has smut, so that's a plus

"Trapped in Another World With No Magic" by Silas_Kriegsende is an absolutely awesome story! The way you've seamlessly integrated science into a fantasy world is both innovative and captivating. It's refreshing to see how Daniel uses his mechanical skills and modern knowledge to navigate the magical realm of Zenkon, offering a unique twist to the typical isekai narrative. The contrast between Daniel's ingenuity and Rikuto's magical abilities adds depth to their characters and enriches the story. Your world-building is superb, creating a vivid and immersive setting that draws readers in. The plot is well-paced and full of intriguing twists and turns, making it hard to put down. I'm particularly impressed with how you've managed to balance the fantastical elements with realistic, scientific problem-solving, making Daniel's journey both relatable and exciting.
I truly hope you continue this fantastic story and keep exploring the dynamic between science and magic. Your creativity and storytelling skills are exceptional, and I'm eager to see where you take this narrative next.

Keep up the amazing work, Silas_Kriegsende! - Fakebellijean22Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0It's pretty good, actually. The protagonist's development, while somewhat questionable, I think fits him. There's a low-budget Hiruzen here. The story feels like very thick honey, but in a good way. I read 64 chapters and felt like I'd read 200, even though I "overloaded" myself. It has slight Ash Ketchup vibes, but I'd say it maintains a decent emotional development; at least you can tell who's who.
- IlleeaRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Loved the story. Read it in about 3 days. It slows down the longer it goes on but the story just keeps going. The main character feels real at the beginning and grows throughout the story. Politics and war play a massive part of the story later on. The harem stuff is a bit trope/cliche for certain characters. The nsfw stuff is kept in chapters hosted off of royal road and arent integrel to the story. Theyre like the bonus chapters included every once in a while in this story.
- King's Tree TalesRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5When I first read the synopsis my first thoughts were "this gives me shield hero vibes" and after twelve chapters that feelings still there. Which is a good thing.
Style: This story has an excellent style. The change of POV flows nicely and chapters end in a way that makes me want more.
Character: The characters are the best part of the story especially Daniel. Daniel is a likable, but flawed hero. He's humble, yet fast thinking, but also a coward. Daniel feels like a real person, and in fact most of the secondary characters feel real. I'm looking forward to seeing more.
Story: The story overall is intriguing. A mechanic summoned to a magical world with only his technical knowledge to rely on. The author does an excellent job balancing progressing the story with world building. My only issue is that the author missed an opportunity to have the reader experience the world with Daniel, but instead skipped it for a time jump. How did he learn the language? How did he start repairing the magical technology? Will Daniel ever get with the tavern girl?
Grammar: Not much to say. If I found any errors they were so minor I don’t remember them.
Overall: An excellent story worth the read. - MorfiTMRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5Dear readers, if you're fans of descriptive writing, like isekai's that use the known formula with a nice twist, that aren't a pain to read through due to the sentences, word choices or grammar errors, and have a character that feels like a human, not a device to push the world building and plot, then try this novel. You may come to like it like I do.
The premise of the story is simple - A great danger threathens the world and a hero is summoned. Granted by the divine with huge magic power and unique elemental affinities, a Japanese student is summoned. He's also knowledglable regarding economics and governance, which is a great boon for the Kingdom that summoned him, Also summoned with him is a middle aged, apathetic handy-man with low-self esteem - our protagonist. See him stumble and bumble through the magic world where he was summoned to without any blessing and being the weakest on the totem pole. See him treat others like people, not characters. See the underdog, trying to live sorrounded by champions.
Style: The author likes the descriptive type of writing. If you're one of the "Actually ..." type of guys that likes to pick and prod at the story trying to find plot holes and inconsistencies, you may very well find some, but you won't find any glaring ones.
Story: Story uses the known premise - introducing physics and mechanics into a magical world, and eventually producing magitech. Till the newest chapter, the author doesn't have to stretch the belief making it a pleasant read. The pacing is ok - there are times with rapt action, and times for downtime to flesh out the world and characters.
Grammar: Author has problems with repeating the use of the same word in the same sentence, sentences coming one after another, or in paragraphs. It can be a bother, but I see that there is less and less of it in the chapters 40+
Character: I like Daniel, because he's fleshed out, has the "hero's journey" down pat with having strong sides and weak ones. He overcomes his pr - fishsandwichRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0I was satisfied with the first dozen chapters, but it quickly turned into more of action adventure story which is not what I was expecting or looking for. The MC is a bit of a pushover for my tastes. These are the only demerits I was able to find with my short sampling. The writing is otherwise good. I just did not enjoy the plot convenience or the MC.
- DnojRoyal Road★★★★ 3.5I don't like the MC, Daniel. He's depressing to read in the first half, and infuriating to read in the latter. It's hard to sympathize with him.
There's no traumatic experience in his life that properly explains his rather extremely pathetic personality, and I don't like what the message of him getting lucky and rewarded says to readers.
Folks, especially you young people, do NOT emulate Daniel. Do not mistake his lack of self-respect for kindness. People just walk all over our MC, and he does nothing to stop them. That's not kindness, it's not charity, or altruism, and it is certainly not a healthy lifestyle.
It somehow works out in the end for him, but that's because this is a wish fulfillment story.
In the real world, a guy like him gets abused by whatever company he's working for, without even knowing he's being abused. He's the type of guy that makes millions for the company, and gets peanuts in return for his hard work.
I repeat, do NOT be like Daniel.
He doesn't even learn to stand up for himself when he gains close relationships later on. His actions always has to be for the benefit of others. While it might seem noble on the surface, it just hurts those who love him because he just can't seem to value himself.
It's absolutely, disgustingly unhealthy. This lack of self-respect coming from the MC, which we spend almost all of the time with, is hard to stomach.
Thankfully, the other characters are alright, though they get shallow and repetitive after a while.
The power scale is also inconsistent. Powerful characters are powerful until they're not, because... Just because. No rhyme or reason, just artificial conflict.
I will admit, there's exactly two emotional moments that got to me.
One is when Daniel fixes a personal device for Treia. That was REALLY good and a tearjerker, it was the highlight of the story, and it stood out in this sea of mediocrity.
Without a doubt, it was the highlight of the entire story.
The other was when Hekate retrieves her doll from - MossesRoyal Road★★★ 2.5Story is pretty good but standard isekai. At the begining focuses on story sadly as this goes on story is forgotten for harem tropes(and they go on and on and..... ).
I mean you can skip whole chapters and not notice it.
Over all it's okay but nothing ground breaking - DarthbellRoyal Road★★ 1.5Standard isekai with what I thought was a cool twist. No magic of any kind for the MC? Could be cool. The problem is that "mewling simp" is now my new least favorite type of MC. All world building is thrown away by how utterly awful the MC is pretty much non stop. Everything the author wastes time on building up the world or trying to develop characters is exactly that: a waste of time. MC thinks telling a woman he SA'd her while out of it and he would do it again is somehow a successful pickup line. I get its a wish granting power fantasy but it would be more immersive if his background was that he spends all his time searching for OF Groupons. It's hard to imagine a cat liking this guy much less a cat girl. Its a 1 star story that gets a 0.5 bump for a cool twist even though it lacks payoff in the end.
