Tori Transmigrated

Description
The last thing 40-year-old project manager Tori Felix remembered was scrolling through a wiki article about a dating sim game franchise while on theshinkansen. Then she was hurled forward to the sound of metal creaking, the smell of smoke, and was knocked out.
When Tori woke, she was in a lavish four poster bed with a splitting headache and in the bruised teenage body of a Marquis' arrogant daughter from the popular dating sim "The Romance of Soleil".
Problem #1: There is a possibility she's dead in her world. This meant she couldn't meet up with her friends. Also, her tickets to Universal Studios were useless now.
Problem #2: This body may be young, but weaker than her original. And where were her boobs?
Lastly, Problem #3: She now inhabited the body of Victoria de Guevera; the villainess of "The Romance of Soleil" whose final ending, according to the wiki article, was a violent death at the hands of sex slavers.
With just a few weeks before the heroine and the villainess collide, there is no time for an existential crisis. Tori took a deep breath, closed her eyes, and whispered her personal mantra:
"Assess the situation, then make a plan of action. You don't want to die like a b-tch."

- teacher_wifeRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0In advance, I will preface this by saying I dislike this genre. That is probably because I have never read any others that are quite this good. This story is not just good "for its genre". It is a very well written and interesting story. The plot is interesting and offers twists that keep it from being weighed down by tropes, and cliches. In fact, any tropes that appear are mocked or questionned to make the story more interesting. The character development is interesting. It is wholesome without being campy. The grammar is very good. There are a few mistakes every handful of chapters.
No matter what your preconceived notions are about the genre, put them away. This is abook worth reading and loving. - SodjayRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I love this story. Aside from being well written and interesting there is significant drama all throughout this story which makes it absolutely excellent in almost every way. It is one of the things that makes me happiest in this life. This review would be shorter and more succinct but the minimum word count is 50 words so it's longer then what I feel is necessary to convey my feelings on this work.
- amassieRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This story is extremely good. I generally don't like slice of life and that held me off from starting it for some time but, once I began reading, the amazing characters, story, and worldbuilding more than make up for any genre dislike I have. The main character is smart and reasonable and the story keeps me highly immersed. The isekai elements are very well done although I think that main character might be just a hair too talented. However, it's not to the point where it is totally unrealistic. The premise of being isekai’ed into the roll of villain in a story and trying to change the outcome isn’t new but it’s being incredibly well done here. Overall, in spite of my initial misgivings of the genre, I have to give this story 5 stars in every category! As long as the quality doesn’t drop over time, which there is no sign of (as of chapter 50), I think it will be as good or better than many published works I have read. It definitely deserves it’s spot on the highest rated list and I was very disappointed when I caught up with the latest chapter since I am excited to see what happens next!
- ClairssidaRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This is a wonderful story. We get an intelligent and confident MC who is desperately trying to avoid death flags and the protagonist with her reverse harem of badly behaved goons. The characterization of both the MC, her friends, her family and the antagonists is wonderfully done. The characters feel realistic for who they are and their backgrounds. This story has also had me cackling several times from the antics of the cast. The world is well done so far, we haven't seen too much of it as we learn about it as the MC does.
The story does really draw you in and you feel yourself rooting for the MC and honestly irritated at the antagonists. They're well written in that you can't help but want to whack them all with a stick!
It really is a wonderful story and I'm very excited to see how Toris tale will unfold! - Falling leaveRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0So I started some stories of this genre but never got hooked. However I am mesmerized by this story, it is well thought through, peoples reactions either seem realistic or well explained (because of game background) and has a really nice slice of life experience with just the right amount of tension.
In short: I am loving it - HyrielRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I really enjoyed this story, it read like one of those Villainess transmigration Manhwa but better. Tori isn't your typical young girl, waking up knowing the game world and doing all the things to avoid the MLs and getting them all. She's an experienced woman who spent an hour browsing the wiki and takes to the task of survival like the petty project manager she was and will be. She brings intelligence, logic and sheer stubbornness to the trope in a way the "to nice for their own good" Villainess' I usually read about don't and it was actually a more enjoyable read for it. Oh! I also really appreciated the bonus chapters! I love when Manhwa give me the deets about the villainess future and the way it was told was a good tie up of all the loose ends 😁
- Polvane the EraserRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Engaging story. I like how Tori, once Victoria, has to be clever and resourceful to fight against the narrative that seeks at all times to make trouble for her and to empower and uplift the setting's protagonist, Alessa Hart.
Well written. I care about the story and the characters.
The dialogus is very good, quite funny. - ExBlazERoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5You've seen villainess stories where the transmigrated villainess MC goes around trying her damn best to avoid the hero/heroine and his/her harem. Or alternatively, you've seen stories where the MC hijacks the said harem for herself. Maybe you've even seen stories where the villainess MC becomes friends with hero/heroine.
There is none of that in this story.
Tori's plan of action in this story is to initially avoid the heroine. When that didn't work, she just says fuck it and faces them head on. Oh sure, she doesn't start any fights. But she sure as hell ends them.
A really satisfying villainess story, to be honest. - LibrinLatoneRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5I enjoy a fun twist on the isekai genre. I LOVED that this wasn't a 20-to-20 year old but a 40-to-14. Good twist right there. Getting to bring truly adult knowledge, attitudes, and experience to the world with her was well done. I also really liked that, since the world was a "video game" in our world, there were times Tori even commented "it doesn't have to make sense!" for things like telephone-like-devices or modern-ish styles.
I like Tori. I found her a fun and mostly relatable character. The times she felt a tiny Mary Stu.... honestly, I know people like her. They are good at everything they touch and they try a thousand projects and hobbies and they are good at all of them. Seriously, I could rename Tori and say, "that's this person." So talented you can't hate them even when you want to....
I LOVE Piers too. I love that he feels neurodivergent and Tori gets it. And her acceptance of him builds such a foundation of trust between them. It's beautiful.
The plot meanders sometimes. I think occasionally the "threat" of Tori's demise gets lost, but it comes back around and any imperfections are probably preference and style as much as anything. I actually have read this one twice and I couldn't find much in the way of plot holes.
I REALLY enjoyed this. If I could buy a physical copy for my shelf, I would in a heartbeat. I read this on vacation the second time and it was a PERFECT beach read. - pilinha2001Royal Road★★★ 2.5This story is an absolute cringe fest. The plot doesn’t even try to make itself believable. Just the fact that somehow the MC becomes this genius swordswoman when realistically she can’t even do a push-up, yet defeats “hulking” grown men is so pathetic. Every other character also feels extremely artificial. I do not believe this story is appropriate to anyone past middle school.
The grammar and the style are great which is the only reason it stays at 2.5 stars and not 1/2.
