Description
Suddenly waking up without explanation in the body of a cultivation sect leader, 23-year-old student Aki ends up in quite the bind. Luckily he has one special skill: The ability to bullshit his way throughanything. His confident and mysterious smile manages to convince everyone of his sagely wisdom, so no one suspects a thing!
Aki however faces a big issue – no one in this sect knows how to relax! They all believe in ironclad discipline, ascetic ways and casting off all mortal comforts in the singular pursuit of cultivation. How can Aki convince them to relax and try the joys of life?
What to expect from this novel:
A light-hearted take on cultivation, featuring a lot of making up silly techniques.
Sect development/economics will be treated more seriously.
There will eventually be some romance in this, but it will take some time to get there.

- WeavervaleRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This is 100% the second best sect leader fiction on royal road*. Full disclose I have shouted out this fiction before and I had a good idea that I would love it before.
Grammar 5/5
This book is very well written. I would say that there are zero grammar problems as far as I could tell there were none. It looks very professionally written and I would put it on par with other writing that has already been combed through by an editorial pass.
Character 5/5
I have a very clear sense of who the characters are and what their needs and wants are. It's very clear what's going on internally and there's not really a surprise is to how the character acts. They seem internally consistent.
Story 5/5
Okay so I am loving the way that it starts to play out. I can see a lot of promise for this fiction. The whole mundane versus cultivation plays out really well when the character doesn't know how to use this power and things everything's magical.
Style 6/5
So if you're trying to write a cultivation novel It's important to get the feel for how other cultivator novel writers write.
This nailed it 100% I am going to tell you that it's difficult to nail this and if the first few chapters are any indication It could probably only get better from here.
*the best one is Sect Leader by me. - ElvenDenRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0At first it may seem that this is no different from other isekai in the body of sect leaders or crown princes or someone else with a crowd of subordinates with one-dimensional characters. In them, these body snatchers begin to collect thousand-year-old ginseng and other Deus Ex Machine under every bush, as well as win wars of intrigue against the enemies of the old owner of the body and against their rivals already, they also challenge the heavens and everyone in a row with might and main.
Now, for some reason, this genre is on the crest of a wave.
This novel is not about that. Here you will find a light, calm atmosphere, where the most difficult challenge will be attempts to eat normally, escape from three pokemons and don't lie in a restaurant. The main character does not try to apply his knowledge in the sciences to create cheating techniques like nuclear bombs based on Qi energy. He, of course, invents techniques on the left and on the right, but they all carry practically no semantic load for anyone other than patients with [Deep Meaning Search Syndrome], but fortunately everyone in his environment suffers from this. Even his personal brainwashing technique, which affects destinies, is actually not what it seems to others at first glance. Here the Elder smiles wisely and understandingly, says some nonsense, and the rest come up with a deep meaning for themselves. However, Aki does not turn into a simple useless decoration.
No, he has found a very important goal for himself — our Sect Head is trying to correct typical cultivators who are not interested in anything except in search of the power to tickle their chakras to the next level of cultivation. Just make them a little more humane, friendly to each other and give them back the joys of life that they gave up in pursuit of immortality. Obviously, MC himself studies various techniques and cultivates, but although this process has a rather interesting description, the novel does not dwell on this.
The grammar i - Michael GnizakRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I wish there was more. The story was funny and for the most part the author hit the mark with the characters and comedy. I feel like the author was getting better as the story went on and I’ll be looking to see if there are other works that seem interesting. Hopefully this story will get a rewrite and be continued in the future, but for now it seems what’s here is all we’ll get. If I recall, the story started a bit slow but I’d recommend checking it out.
- UnkillablemageRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0My favorite style of comedy. MC keeps lying and saying things that shouldnt make any sense but somehow it always turns out OK. No obvious gramatical errors or strange bits of continuity. Only small problem is that sometimes it is unclear where a scene is happening but that only occurs in the earler chapters.
- 1Royal Road★★★★★ 4.5I think the mixture of Isekai and Xianxia in this story is quite smoothly done. I enjoy reading about the main character, and the story is moving at a decent pace, with overarching goals already driving the plot forward. Uploads and quality have been consistent enough for me to feel decently confident about reviewing this story. I do have some slight constructive criticism; in the earlier chapters, there is just too dense of a concentration of information at some points, and I found myself skimming through those parts. Besides that, this has been a great start, and I look forward to more!
- Chaos JesterRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5This is definitely not the go-to story for someone in my situation--never having really gotten into xianxia/cultivation much prior.
That being said, zechamp writes an entertaining tale chock full of interesting characters, smooth writing, and the ability to explain things to people outside of their comfort zone.
The believability of someone able to keep up this level of ruse is easy to suspend, but to just immediately go with it will always confuse me. That being said, when you get to the actual essence of the story, it is wickedly funny and matches it's main character: easygoing. - NixiRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5The novel is a good read and I would highly recommend it to people who like misunderstanding and comedy genres. But it's a turn off your mind and read type of novels , there are some elements of the story that are inconsistent. But even with that i would still recommend it unless you dislike stories with inconsistencies or you dislike crack novels.
- TealiciousTeaRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5A fun and funny Isekai Cultivation story. Slightly dramatic moments give the story momentum and subtle depth. I recommend it!
A plain writing style, very easy to read. Perhaps some variation in verbs for added impact to enhance the description. For example, in chapter two paragraph two you use "slithering" twice. The second use of slithering could be changed to anything from diving, plunging to slinking, etc.
Straight up honesty cultivation stories aren't my thing, but judging by others' reactions, some of whose tastes I trust the story fits well into that mould while being a fresh take on it. It is completely paced and starts briskly enough. Slow enough to allow the reader to settle and get their bearings but not too slow as to drag.
The humour seems to be mostly based on the normal cultivation world rules and how the main is bluffing through the actual cultivation powers part of it. If that dynamic is funny to you then great, if not then at least some of the early humour might not land as intended. I found the tea chapter and chapter five to be funny. The second chapter not so much, but I think that is fine, part of the process of getting familiar with what is happening.
Excellent use of Chekov's white hair (seriously but also lol).
Grammar is fine
Characters are more based on humour and work to that end, without any substantial drama there is no real depth to them and that is okay. The few dramatic moments that are peppered through add some spicy and give the main character the depths he needs as a comedic main. - Mr. MochiRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0Fun little story about a transmigrated student woefully over his head running a sect. The humor is hit or miss at times, but generally amusing.
For me, I dislike misunderstanding plots and crack novels, so this isn’t really my type of story. But I’d recommend this if it’s your type of genre or if you want something silly and simple.
For the best reading, it’s best you completely turn off your brain. - turogiiRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0The title is "easygoing sect leader" and the title says it all. It's gearing towards comedy and slice of life.
Spoiler:
To be frank, the writing quality is excellent that only grammar vegetarians will complain if they see a mistake.
The problem for me is the plot. If you are a veteran cultivation reader (I mean vaccinated by IET, Madsnail, and Lin Fan and his jade beauties), while it is nauseating to read THE TROPES, you can still feel the plot moving. If the story is gearing towards comedy, the plot can be anything so long as it is amusing but the comedy here gets old real quick.
It was fun read(I had a few laughs) but not anymore when I got to the chapter when MC accidentally enters some evil sect meeting, with just a few words, the supposedly vicious and most terrifying cultivators became little gullible children believing everything the MC says.
For some reasons, the world feels unnatural which again does not matter if the story focuses on comedy(E.g. Above ten thousand people) but it's taking a path of cultivation and a xianxia at that. Xianxia is about becoming a peerless immortal and you expect MC or at least the background characters aiming for immortality yet the mc wants sit on a hotspiring whilst drinking beer.
Hope the story gets polished better.
