Description

Holy fwegh! The Princess's Feathers is now available inpaperback,Kindle, andepub! The Dragon captures the Princess. The brave knight appears to save her and slays the Dragon. Wooed by his gallantry, they both live happily ever after. I'm certain you've heard a variation of this tired fable countless times before. Real life isn't so idyllic, though. Far stranger, I've recently discovered! I'm a Princess too—at least, I used to be. While exploring the countryside a terrible event occurred and my life was plunged into danger. But instead of being captured by a Dragon, I turned into one! Acting on my draconic instincts I was able to defend myself and save my life. Wonderful! Now there's just one large, fire breathing problem: How do I turn back to normal? Um, I didn't ask for any of this, you know? I'm the Princess! I have a Kingdom to run, I can't be a Dragon! Why did this happen to me? And what am I going to do about it? A fantasy novel with anthropomorphic characters, hand-drawn illustrations, and DRAGONS! Expect some slice of life before delving into adventure after Princess Asha transforms inthischapter. This novel also contains queer characters and relationships, so if that makes you uncomfortable then please look elsewhere for stories. My labor isn't for you. New chapters are currently on an extended hiatus for Life Events™ and the production of printed books, merchandise, and more! Check out the Discord if you want updates on when the story will resume! This book is a shining star in the genre of non-human romance, political intrigue, and sheer world-building.
There are meddlesome gods, gruesome moments, and many times at which you won't be able to tell who is the real friend and who is your enemy. Every setup has a satisfying payoff, and all the characters make decisions that, while seemingly extreme, make sense when you consider their perspectives more deeply.
There are consequences for actions, and no blessings are granted without suitable burdens to accompany them. The romance aspect checks every box taking advantage of the fact that these are not humans, but dragons, lemur-folk, etc. Physiologies make sense and are given the proper levels of attention and detail.
In sum, if you want a well-made non-human romance, read this book.

The hand-drawn illustrations have hidden captions.  While not every chapter has an illustration, it is impressive that such a talented creator has time to put quality to both prose and picture.
What starts out as an herbal fetch-quest slash excuse-to-go-outside, turns into a desperate adaptation to a new way of life, driven by a desire for a return to normalcy and family.  The tenuous interpersonal situation floats atop repercussions from the age-of-myth.

I started this web novel from seeing a recommendation in Young Flame, and I am happy to say that it was one of my better decisions this year.
The character writing in thus series is great and I'm always excited to see how they interact with each other. This extends to how the different races, dragons and animals, interact differently with each other, as well as seeing the viewpoints from other characters.
The artwork is also amazing and have a great feel to them. I genuinely cannot wait for the next chapter and encourage anyone looking for their next novel to have them give this one a try.

When I finished the first chapter, I felt like I was thrown back into my childhood. This story captured that nostalgia factor from reading fantasy books by the dozen over summer breaks. Could have been the tomboy princess protagonist. Could have been the anthropomorphic animal society. Could have been the dragons. Who knows.
I spent the rest of the weekend binging all the remaining chapters.
The setting and initial world-building may have hooked me, but the characters got me to stay. Wow, are they a joy to read. For me, interesting personalities and character development are the most important aspects of stories, especially the protagonist, and we have a gem in Asha.
She's spunky, she's caring. She has hopes and dreams of her own that don't always line up with others' expectations. She's far from perfect and is wonderfully self-aware of some of her flaws. Her character development so far has hooked me and I can't wait to read more as she struggles and learns on her adventure.
The supporting cast is outstanding as well. They are competent where they should be and struggle with challenges outside of their abilities. Each one acts like their own person... er, animal.
And the art! Oh, the art! The subjects, especially their facial expressions, do wonders to elevate the written story. Emotions are captured so well and add another dimension to the characters and their interactions.
Give this story a try if only for the amazing artwork and fantastic setting. Then, stick around for the deeply human animals like I did.

Perfect ? No. Because I don't believe something can be perfect. That would mean there is an upper limit to how good something can be, and i don't want to believe that humanity will someday reach a "roof" and be defeated by a perfection that nothing can exceed.
Is this book good ? It's excellent. You can judge by the stars, be influenced by others' reviews, or you can read it.
The first chapters are a little long to launch the intrigue, but are needed to build the world. The patience is worth it, I assure you. You can't have a character reference a place for 120+ chapters without presenting it for a least some time.
My only two real critiques are :
    - Some scenes and developments are a little too quick for the reader to adapt to, even if they make sense in the world itself.
    - Protagonists tend to have answers a little too much out of reach to make perfect sense.
Otherwise, I enjoyed reading The Princess Feather a lot, will buy the official books, and will wait for the author to write the rest with great impatience.
This is, of course, only my humble opinion on the series.
But The Princess Feather is one of the few books that made me shed a tear.
Have a good time reading !

This story has locked its claws deep inside me and it won't let go. i have such an intense deep desire to read every last word.
It's definitely a story that will resonate with those of a draconic heart beating in their chest and i can't help but recommend this whole-heartedly to any seeking a story that grasps you in its talons and refuses to let go of you till you are eagerly waiting for more.
There is a reason this story is rated so high and I eagerly and deeply desire the best for the Author. I could do nothing but read this story for three days straight gripped firmly in its claws. and it takes ALOT for me to get that hooked into a story.

This great hidden jem of a story is a real pleasure to read. It follows princess Asha who after a incident in the woods turns into a giant fluffy dragon and now has to figure out what to do next. The writings really good but the highlight for me are beautiful illustrations the author adds to the chapters. I addition to being very pretty these illustrations really help you visualize the characters - It's great. I binged the whole story in a day so if you have any interest in big fluffy dragons, princess or pretty pictures this story is definitely worth a read.

Far too many journeys about dragons lose sight of the world they occur in. If you like a touch of slice of life and an incredible depth to the world, this story is for you! The characters are consistently fun and the drawings on each page accentuate the whole experience. Wholesome, enjoyable, and really neat overall. You can see when the author found her stride, and it's only been improving the whole while!

What started as a self-imposed quest by the crown princess to head out into the woods turns into a xenofiction story where a dragon needs to discover their place in the world. Asha, the princess-turned-dragon flees her home searching for an explanation for what happened to her, how to reverse the transformation and how to survive as a dragon.
Meanwhile, back in her home, the nation is in an uproar as the heir to the throne is declared dead and political tensions rise.
This wonderfully created story is a mix of a fish out of water with a coming of age story. Our protagonist is lost in a world she didn't even knew existed and needs to find her place in it. A place the author has spent a noticeable time crafting, with the large cast of major and minor characters, locations and fauna. Not to mention the addition to artwork that accompanies most chapters.
The Princess's Feathers is not a story I would recommend for those seeking instant gratification. You will not find a fierce draconic protagonist who can overcome all problems with raw power. Even when, just like the usual trope, dragons in this story is portrayed as the apex predators, they are more so in the same sense that a lion is one. Place a lion among sheep, and the lion becomes a uncontested god of death. But the lions home is found in the African Savannah and compared to the animals you find out there, the lions will have to work for their food and defend it from being taken.
Ironically Asha could probably survive better as a pariah in her homelands, stealing livestock and avoiding the efforts to stop her. A lifestyle she deems unacceptable as crown princess and future queen of the country. That is one of the many traits to like following her as a reader. She has a moral code and a wish to return to her former life. But noble traits won't prevent the readers from finding her when she is enraged, stubborn, entitled, scared, insecure, depressed, embarrassed and more. This might look like the gloom list of emotio
