Description
After the magic in her home begins to fade and her enchanted pantry runs dry, Mara sets out with the last empty jar of honey to trade for something kind in a world that no longer remembers sweetness.
[This is a quiet, atmospheric collection of loosely connected short stories about Mara—her grief, her rituals, and the traces of magic she hasn’t fully let go. Updates are, and will always be unscheduled, added as the stories come.]

This story is just downright lovely, and very, very well written. The characters are all interesting, the use of plot and tension is deftly done--the story is full of mystery without being overbearing about it--and the pace is very nice: it's slow and meditative without dragging. There are a ton of zingers, but they don't over-explain the message or world, and while the psych/tragedy genre tags fit, the tragedy is well-executed rather than being a senseless grimdark overload.
Style: Overall, very good; the dialogue in particular, when it comes up, is exceptional, and the execution of the characters' thoughts and important plot events is very well done. The descriptions are beautiful, and the world is well-written with neither over nor under-explaining. The basics are all more than covered and the story is just beautifully written in general. There is, on ocassion, perhaps a slight over-reliance on sentence fragments and description of things that aren't there, but it's not overly noticeable.
Story: Being what it is ("snippets"), the plot is neither linear nor a dragon-slaying high stakes situation, but it works very well. There are consistent plot threads throughout both sections, well-placed seeds for future chapters, and clear stakes even in a more meditative world.
Grammar: Without any noticeable errors.
Character: The shining point of this story, in my opinion; the characters are quiet and introspective, and that introspectiveness is done very well. There is little over-explaining, and while the characters remain mysteries, that is largely the point. It's through the characters that it seems like the story's sense of loss really shines, and so far, while the cast is limited, all of them are lovely viewpoints on the world.
