In the games Pokémon trainers were always a bit too eccentric to be realistic. Marcus always brushed it off as anime logic, but Pokemon change their trainers as much as the trainers change them. So When Marcus, a military veteran, finds himself in the world of Pokemon, the overload of Dragon Type Energy from his team of choice causes him to become somewhat.… Imperial. And in a world where gods can be enslaved in balls available at your local Pokestore, that’s something of a problem. AKA: Applying consistent logic to Pokemon never ends well for anyone involved. AAKA: I've been reading too much Borne of Caution, and had to write a good Villain story.

Mc is not a good guy. Pretty much a prick, getting worse as story progresses. I’ll never forgive him and hope Walmart Wally keeps kicking his ass for what he did to those Bidoofs 😤Still funny watching everything unfold. Ignore the low rating and my caustic comments toward the character. This is an awesome story just not for everyone. Go into this knowing you are reading a literal evil overlord in the making. Either root for him or hope for his painful downfall. It’s unique, kinda edgy, but at least the author had the guts to try something different. Hoping the chapters keep coming.

I need more so bad. Mc is amazing it’s rare for me to root for the evil guy but I don’t care I want him to win and plus I don’t care for bidoofs that shit kept making die laughing. Mc also had interesting pokemon for one noibat one of my favs and rarely ever used for fics.

Honestly when I started reading this, I wasn't the most hyped for it, but after making it to the last chapter available, I just want more lol.
Marcus isn't a nice character, and I'm glad for it, and(unlike other stories with a former soldier mc) it actually kinda works, with the mentions of his past, and using his knowledge, helps that he isn't the best or most perfect soldier, he's just one that had a mix of luck and skill kinda, also helps that he doesn't have a perfect memory of the games.
The grammar isn't a weak point either, as though I can definitely see a few misspellings, they can 100% be overlooked with how minor they are(I'm not the greatest at grammar so I won't judge lol).
The whole fairy thing is definitely a plus, kinda funny to see Marcus get warned, then see his rival walk through with no idea and immediately break all the 'rules' of dealing with em, definitely adds to the story overall.
Can't wait for more, also side note, I like how the Type Energy actually has an effect on him.

The fact he is a jerk and knows it, adds to the whole villain thing, and you can definitely see the setup for future fights, his ego getting in his way and generally all the flaws in his character make him seem kinda realistic in a way.

A humorous story that grips your heart in the heat of battle.
Mark is an ex soldier with an extremly hard shell. (That's kinda funny if you think about who the starter is). He has dealt with a lot pain but uses humor to brush it aside. He is probably doing much worse than he let's on, cause as long as he tries to act like it's not there the problem might simply dissapear. He is a selfish bastard ,once you wormed your way into his heart he'll treat you like family.
I don't think he is as much of Villain and more of an anti hero but it could probably go any way. His sense of morals are just different due to growing up in a world ridden by war. He could really go any way from here. Can also see how he becomes a real tyrant.
As i am writing this i can also see how his surroundings will shape who he becomes. Will be interesting to see how a roster of dragons will impact his personality. The story from here on out still has long way to go and i do hope that it reaches it's full potential. There are some things that I could pick on but all in all this is my favorite story in the last 5 years.

So far, this story has been an absolute blast. The characters are great, the fights are great, the story's great, its all around a really fun time. The MC is not a great guy, in fact, I'd go out of my way to say he's a pretty bad guy, but that only adds to the greatness of this story. If you like villainous main characters, and if you like pokemon, you'll like this story.

Just started reading this, but the story is intriguing. Pulling me in the familiar pokemon world with a more adult story going on than what I grew up with. I'll keep reading for sure! This story is incredibly well written and unique.
The characters are super well written and unique. Especially the main character. The villainess lead tag does not lie he is kind of a scumbag, but he’s also really hard working and determined so you can’t help but root for him.
The main rival is also written really good. He’s just a real good guy, kind of a goody two shoes. But he’s overall just a kind and forgiving person. Also a bit of a push over at the start but grows a backbone.
Anyways, now to the part that’s my favourite. I don’t really know how to gush over this without spoilers, but you know how fairy’s in folklore are just faking the being cutesy part to steal your soul and stuff? Yeah, the author is doing an absolutely phenomenal job handling fairy type Pokémon.
PLEASE read this book I need this story to get more recognition so that I can see even more of this amazing world the author is making

Pretty much the biggest thing you should know before you go into this fic. Is that the MC is a douche bag, and will continue to be a douche bag. That’s not exactly a bad thing, and in fact is a rather unique take to a character that I’ve found myself reluctantly enjoying, but I can understand if others don’t like that.
I am slightly disapointed that he’s as bad as he was after being called “sentimental” in the first chapter, I kind of took that as a hint he won’t be that bad, or atleast will have some soft spots for people, but so far that’s not the case. Maybe it will in the future though.
All in all, it is beautifully written, and I am very excited for it to update so I can read some more. At this point I’m mostly just writing until the minimum requirement for the review is finished. But yeah, if you’re looking for a hardcore, brash MC, this is your guy.
Knwo what I’m just going to keep writing random words until the literal 10 words are finally done.
