But when he's suddenly whisked away into the sky along with the rest of humanity, and forced to participate in a series of games, trials, and adventures into foreign dimensions by astral beings, Lucius discovers a new frontier full of possibility. This wide universe, these unique lands brimming with beautiful, blossoming souls—the world is endless, and so too is inspiration.
With style, with grace, and with a gentlemanly candor, Lucius seeks to draw out the inner beauty in all.

Even when thrust into the unknown, he's still a gentleman helping those grow into what they truly are, all the falsehoods and lies pruned off. Cant wait to see where this story goes!
- Bluelighter 3DRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Overall: The story has that uniqueness and creativity I look for. It started off with a twist and, then it threw in some more unexpected twists but holy eagle blade and star I thought I knew where it was going, but it kept surprising me.
Story: The descriptions are simple and easy to follow but feels a bit light. Maybe it’s just me since I’ve been reading a lot of heavy fantasy lately. The dialogue however is completely different. Whenever Lucius talks or when people in Charlemagne interact, it stands out. Ogier’s ritual especially. There’s something about it that feels almost magical. The dialogue has this emphasis that makes it stick.
Character: The characters actually feel like real people, which is rare in webnovels. Mili is honest, silly, kinda punky. Marco is like the dad I never had. Every time he shows up, I think, “Hey, Dad.” Lucius is the most eccentric character I’ve read in a while. He’s got this hidden madness that makes you wonder what he’ll do next. I thought he and Jack were friends but then yeah...
Grammar: I didn’t notice any typos actually. The writing so far has been clear and easy to follow. I usually skim over commas and periods, but everything sounded fine and coherent, the tone could do some work though to reflect the scene more but hey I got no complaints.
QuiteTheSlacker I'll support you till the end!! - CatharticRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Lucius is perhaps one of the truest characters I’ve ever seen in a novel. He’s polite, he’s clever, and he’s completely evil. He is the personification of the ‘lawful evil’ alignment, and he is really good at hiding it. Imagine if a fox got in the henhouse, but instead of slaughtering everything, it waited. There are also some funny little asides detailing Lucius’ exploits before the introduction of the system, which are hilarious to read. I can’t recommend this novel enough. 5/5.
- ChaMaganeraRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Royal road removed my review because apparently I can’t use filler words to fill the 200 word requirement so fine I’ll write your 200 words hope that makes the mods happy this time.
Lucius is super different from all of the MC’s I’ve read so far. The title doesn’t lie he really is a gentleman, and also a madman, and goes on antics that are just so silly compared to everything else around him. Like the Tutorial dungeon for example. It’s such a creepy and suspenseful and utterly horrifying place that reminds me of a game called Darkest Dungeon in that the monsters inside are hellish abominations of flesh.
But Lucius is fine. He’s stylish and polite and considerate even though it might be a facade, but I don’t think it is. I think he’s the very definition of chaotic neutral. He does what he wants, marches to the beat of his own tune, and all the while drinks tea while having an absolute blast. He’s such a cool and twisted and charismatic main character.
I don’t know how to judge writing style. I think it’s good. It’s either good or not good and this style is good. It feels like reading the whimsical diary of a very elegant and terrifying man.
The side characters beside Lucius are fun I really like the musician Mili because I’m pretty sure she’s a reference to one of my favorite bands and her attitude is super fun. There’s also an Italian mobster called Marco who’s a big softie with a punch that could break a skull instantly. The characters are convincing and feel alive. There’s also a guy called Jack. Read up to chapter 20 if you want to find out what happens to Jack.
Grammar I don’t know nothing seems to stick out so I think it’s good.
But yeah Lucius is the best part of the story. Read if you like villainous leads that have charisma and elegance and style and basically everything that a gentleman is. Because that’s what he is to his core, a gentleman. - DrakageRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0One of the best depictions of an evil character I've seen on RR. He never see's himself as evil, he indulges in murders and getting other people to murder each other because it makes him happy. Generally one of the more messed-up fictions out there. But he remains eerily charming in every chapter.
- VezaxlRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Two words:
Absolute cinema.
Style:some of the best writing i have seen on this app, figurative language is consistently used and the book reads much more evocatively than a more run of the mill novel. The rare povs are used to great effect, while the third person narrative perfectly encompasses the nature of the story.
Story: And what a story it is, complex, intriguing, but focused and planned towards the original plot point, so one can come to the end of an arc and realise just how well crafted every line was in the last few chapters. Wont go into more spoilers here…
Characters: Wow. Every single character is so thoroughly developed, their characters maintained but also built upon, all the actions seem plausible, and the build up to each ‘bloom’ of a character seems to flow so smoothly.
Grammar: Havent ever noticed a mistake.
Overall: if there was one book i could recommend as the peak of its intended genre and style, it would be this one.
Thanks for reading this until the end, but honestly if you arent convinced yet, im not sure what will. Pick up this book now!
a a a a a a a a - InruRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I absolutely love this story. This is the most I’ve focused on something for a while, and that alone says a lot about how engaging and thoughtfully written it is. From the very beginning, the premise hooked me, blending beauty, mystery, and a darker underlying truth in such a seamless way. The idea of a character like Lucius, someone who values beauty above all else yet operates within morally gray or even villainous spaces, is incredibly compelling and refreshingly different from the usual protagonists in this genre.
Our main character is such a standout. He isn’t driven by chaos or senseless cruelty, but instead by a refined, almost artistic philosophy. That villainous but gentlemanly balance makes him fascinating to follow, especially when paired with his desire to bring out the best in others. Watching him push people toward becoming their truest selves while still embracing manipulation and strategy creates a really unique dynamic that keeps things interesting.
What really elevates this story, though, is the depth of its cast. Every character feels intentional and layered, not just background filler. Even in a fantastical setting filled with trials, worlds, and systems, the story never loses sight of the human element. The characters feel real in their flaws, motivations, and growth, which makes their journeys all the more impactful.
I’m completely satisfied with the end of book 2. The arc with the king that the MC “bloomed,” culminating in the slaying of the demon king through what can only be described as something I can see Karlous doing, was handled incredibly well. It could have easily felt forced or overly sentimental, but instead it felt natural and true to Lucius’s character and philosophy. That moment really solidified what makes this story special.
The world itself is just as captivating. The variety of settings and the sense of endless possibility make each new development exciting, and the inclusion of things like classes, skills, and multidimension - JovileRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0It is nice to see something new, something that follows the "System LITRPG" genre while also offering a unique experience. Unlike other stories, our MC is not the stereotypical you, naive gamer who is thrust into a world only to save it and get a harem of women along the way. I have grown tired of the "Good Guy" stereotype, for once it is nice to listen to the story of the villain. It is like reading a story from the "other side" if you will. I often enjoy those more stereotypical novels, and when they encounter a grand villain, I have always wanted to learn their story instead. Overall, the chapters so far are well written with a refreshing and cast vocabulary. The main character has depth from the start and is not naive in the slightest. If you enjoy anime and have enjoyed the series "Regressor Instructor Manual." I dare say you will love this one.
Apologies if this comes off as a bit of a rant as this is my first time reviewing a series, however I simply had to due to my love of it.
am very excited for the future of this series and eagerly await more chapters. - Red MarshRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Overall: Truly wonderful work here. There's character and tension and stakes and suspense all rolled into one. Every aspect of this work elevates and supports every other aspect. This is a can't miss kind of fiction. I don't often say peak, but it is peak fiction, unironically.
Style: The style is hard to nail down because it is so multi faceted. There's prose and eloquence in areas, but there is simplicity and ease of reading in other areas. I would say the style becomes eloquent when it needs to, suspenseful when it needs to, easy to read when it needs to, and so on. It fluctuates exactly when it should with obvious intentionality, that doesn't throw it in your face. It just knows what it's doing.
Story: The story itself is a masterpiece. Without getting into spoilers, the plot follows a very interesting individual who ends up meeting more interesting individuals and they go through trials and tribulations that tug at your heartstrings and really pull you into the world. It is a cruel cruel world, but a fascinating one nonetheless.
Very unique variation on the traditional litrpg storyline. I can definitively say I've never read anything like this in my entire life, and that's a good thing! Nothing more to say here other than, why are you still reading my review? Go read the story! But if you must continue, here we go.
Grammar: Excellent grammar and syntax. Varied sentence lengths with good word usage and accurate application.
Character: The characters! Oh my god the characters! I can't say enough good things about them. The mc himself is truly an enigma of an individual. You understand him, but you don't. He is quite contradictory, but his decisions make perfect sense through the lens of his viewpoint. He is elegant and courteous and whimsical, but horrific in his motivations. But in a good way. In an interesting way.
Then there are the side characters. All of them fill an archetype, but it goes far deeper than that. They are a perfect blend of trope (in a good wa - ShindoAoiRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This is pure fun a so damn interesting.
This is the type of "evil?" character that i like. He is polite, smiles, physicaly strong, educated and loves his job. He has a past that we see wisper of. But he is and will always be a gentleman. Even when given the oppotunity of some powerful class he still chose to be a gentleman.
