The Crow is a psychological thriller about Adrian, a boy plagued with dark memories and terrifying gaps in his mind. The story so far follows three different timelines, Later, Now, and Then. This plot device does a good job of keeping the reader interested in the mystery while slightly disoriented, just like Adrian is. Each chapter makes you want to keep reading more by providing enough mystery and raising the stakes, while revealing just enough details to keep you satisfied.
In regard to the writing, the author does a great job of showing and not just telling while providing specific descriptions that make the story feel real.
Now for some minor criticism. I do wish the author would’ve shared Adrians age during the Later timeline. I think this would’ve helped ground the reader in the story. But this could be due to some mystery that will be revealed later.
I also noticed what appeared to be some accidental tense changes throughout the story. While noticeable at times, the tense changes were still usually pretty minor errors.
Lastly, some chapters contain extremely long paragraphs. This could be an intentional choice by the author to disorient the reader, but I just found myself skimming sections.
Overall, this is a very solid story with a lot of promise.

    SPOILER ALERT
"The Crow," a captivating narrative woven by an enigmatic author, Stark Gotto! This intricate story explores the complexities of a young protagonist, Adrian, as he grapples with memory loss and the shadows of a dark past.
Chapter 1 introduces us to Adrian, a character whose life takes an unexpected turn as he awakens in an unsettling room devoid of memories. The author crafts an eerie atmosphere, using vivid descriptions of the dimly lit room, and mysterious scents to draw readers into Adrian's disorienting world. The introduction of Dr. Nina, a figure of both reassurance and intrigue, adds a layer of enigma to the tale.
Chapter 2 shifts the focus to Adrian's last day of 7th grade. The chapter contrasts the excitement of this day with the menacing presence of Mr. Johnson, a teacher who seems to thrive on his students' emotions. Adrian's connection to the nearby River Salva and the town of Brezoville's eerie legends adds depth to his character and hints at a more profound, supernatural mystery.
In Chapter 3, the narrative returns to Dr. Nina's office, where Adrian grapples with his memory loss and the frustration of unlocking hidden memories. The author beautifully portrays a therapeutic process, emphasizing the importance of patience and gradual healing. Dr. Nina's character exudes empathy and wisdom, making her a crucial pillar of support for Adrian. However, knowing that this is some kind of thriller/horror story, I'm being fearful that Dr. Nina is one of the bad guys.
I did a review of the first 3 chapters because that's where you can hook readers into following the whole story. So far, I'm hooked, and as a reader, I want to know more, I'm eager to accompany Adrian to unlock the secrets locked behind the door in his mind. "The Crow" is a promising start to what appears to be a thrilling and emotionally resonant tale.
One recommendation, try not to use that many adverbs to describe what the characters are doing. Instead, use your great prose to narra

Interesting story wise, a lot of things are left unanswered, intriguing. Can not wait for more. Grammar good,  characters are likable, and some are very hateful. Easy to read. Chapters seem to be released pretty often, so you do not need to wait for a long time to read it, which is good because I have bad memory lmaohahahahaha good luck with the rest of the story
I highly recommend it to anyone who loves a good story.
UPDATE: This is just getting better and better!

Please note that this a psychological horror, and don't do what I did and read it and some random gas station in the middle of the night. It's a bad plan. Overall, this is a good read that constantly teases a greater mystery at you. While there are gorey parts this one really shines in the psychological aspects, the "what ifs" that keep you guessing and nervous for the characters. The grammar is tight and the story is engaging. My only gripe is with the characters as the secondary cast can get a little lost between whatever Adrian is doing. Well done!
