The Golden Odyssey
The King’s madness has a price, and every sunrise, it is paid in shaman blood.
For weeks, the Tyrant King Vaelzar has been haunted by a dream he cannot recall. Every morning, another head rolls. To save his companions from the purge, Eryndal makes a desperate gamble. He steps forward and claims he can decipher the King’s mind.
He succeeded. But some secrets are too dangerous to be told.
Eryndal sees the truth and chooses to flee with the help of his companions: Alessia, Darek, and Elion rather than speak. Now, he carries the King's greatest mystery in his head, and Vaelzar will tear the world apart to get it back. As the executioner’s blade descends during their escape, an ancient power awakens in Eryndal’s veins—a golden light from a time before the world forgot its true face.
From the gilded halls of Vaelzar to the lawless reaches of the outer realms, the hunt is on. To survive, Eryndal must master a power that could consume him and protect the secret that makes him the most wanted man in the Empire.
The Odyssey has begun.

First, let's begin with the way that the author writes the dialogue. It might be a small thing, but personally, I find it jarring that the dialogue is written with em dashses instead of ", and then there are certain dialogues when it was written with ". It probably means something? I don't know. But it might be something the author might like to take note.
Now, let's move onto the story itself.
The story of Golden Odyssey revolves around Eryndal. I will not delve too much into the story as of yet, as right now, I'm still early in the story, and it's too early for me to pass an opinion on it. I will however talk about the characters.
As mentioned, I'm still a little lost on the plot, but hoping the story will delve more into it as it continues. Eryndal as a character however, even in the beginning chapters, is an interesting MC. He seems to have an interesting ability to see "dreams" or even "visions", which I assume might mean he has some prophetic abilities that might be important later, and unlike most MCs of other fantasy genres, he isn't some prince or general or soldier. He was a prisoner of war aka a slave, which is an interesting take for an MC.
I'm still early in the story to be making opinions on the plot, but apart from a few pacing issues and the way the author writes the dialogue, it has an interesting premise. Will likely amend this review once more chapters are released.
