- keeganashleyliveRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Wow, this world hits hard and packs a bunch. There's an epic-feeling as the author describes the cosmos (planets, stars) and the Maker of the cosmos, working the cogs and working to create a being that will be at His level. Brilliant premise. Later, a more human element is introduced which, somehow, meshes with everything beautifully...and, then, there's a dragon which I loved...
What's even greater than this beautiful world is the way the author describes it. The language flows with exquisite beauty in the descriptions. Honestly, I had commented on a chapter, and I had to go back and edit it to add that I was impressed by the gorgeous descriptions because it was THAT important to me. Lovely job with that. No glaring grammatical errors. Actually, I'd say the author is very skilled with language.
The character's emotions are well-described although I would have wished for some further diving into them as more characters are added and the story unfolds. I loved the world, the bolded almost-dialogue as the story progresses and the game-like feel. Parts of it were even humorous which I enjoyed in such a deep story.
Overall, this story was a great, vast-feeling read. I gave it 5 stars because I really just enjoyed reading it. Give it a try if you're on the fence. - K.A.ORoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5Style: The writing style of this story is impressive, as it captures the essence of the plot while maintaining a consistent tone throughout. The author's use of descriptive language paints a vivid picture of the world and the characters in it, making it easy for readers to get immersed in the story.
Story: The plot of this story is intriguing and unique, with a strong focus on the theme of creation and self-discovery. The idea of a being creating a flawless creature to gain insight into the essence vs. existence question is thought-provoking and keeps the reader engaged. The journey of the creature and its exploration of the universe is captivating, leaving readers wondering what will happen next.
Grammar: The grammar of this story contains few noticeable errors. The author should be commended for their attention to detail, which enhances the overall shine of the piece. However, some of the dialogue feels jarring, and certain parts of the exposition are more challenging to read than others. With some editing and polish, this story has the potential to become a hidden gem.
Character: The characters in this story are adequately developed, especially the titular Mysterious One and the flawless creature. The Mysterious One's doubts and ambitions are relatable, while the creature's journey of self-discovery is a compelling narrative. The world-building is interesting, and the planet created by The Mysterious One is an intriguing addition to the story.
Overall, this story is a captivating read that explores deep philosophical questions while maintaining a solid narrative. The style, story, grammar, and character development all contribute to the success of the piece, making it an interesting read for fans of science fiction and philosophical literature. - Semo HunterRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5As an overal story, the book is interesting. In the beginning we are introduced to a bieing of vast power (Presumably God) called the Mysterious One. He has a problem: All of the creations he has made are not free to persue their own dreams and desires. He solves this by stripping the subconsious off of a human and putting it into one of his creations, then putting that creation onto a knew planet. The story revolves around the adventurs this creation gets into.
The main problem with the work is the grammar and sentance structure. While its mostly at the level of "Bad, but readable", Chapter 2 in particular is somewhere in the level of "I have to activly work to understand what you are saying". However, the author does get better throughout the chapters, presumably from experience. Overall, 2/5, highier if that chapter was fixed.
EDIT: The grammar issues were resolved by a rewrite by the author. It's now clearly readable and has little to no issues.
For style, it's hard to tell through the grammar issues. However, if the grammar was cleared up, some of the interactions between the characters show some genuine talent for getting the reader interested in the dialoug, as well as comveying the vastness and beauty of cosmic forces. 4.5/5, 5/5 if the gramar is cleared up.
For the story, its a flat 5/5. The story is interestig no matter how you look at it. Not much more to say there.
For the character...that's a bit interesting. It's hard to say what the main character is, as it bounces around between the Mysterious one, some unrelated adventurers, and the creation quite a bit. Unfortunately, the only person we slightly begin to understand is the guiy who gets his subconsious stripped, and after that its a whole lot of wandrenig the cosmos. I would highly reccomend the author take the time to add some depth to his characters, as it stands now we have a series of interesting actors in a story, but nobody we can truley be invested in.
Overall, if you can look past the gramar - Wilhelm DuyRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5Style: The style of this story is quite stand-off for me. It doesn’t seem to be descriptive but not easy to understand either. The system in chapter 5 and the building toward the Mysterious one in the premise is where the author shines in world-building.
Story: The story has two main points of view one from the protagonist of the second chapter who moves into another world with a system and another from Kai, an inhabitant of the new world. The premise did a great job explaining how the story goes with the creator wanting to create “a shadow of the stolen consciousness, a mere puppet dancing to the whims of another”.
Character: Characters... they haven’t set in the ground yet from where this review is written. The first one as I mentioned before is quite generic of “an isekai main” basically an empty shell, I hope he will grow more personality in the future.
Grammar: The weakest point of this whole review. As many have pointed out, the authors make many mistakes in dialogue and narrative. But they are still considered good if you aren’t too keen on finding every mistake in a story
Overall: The story has the potential to improve more in the future. - StrahdsillystrawRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0I've only read to the end of chapter five, so please keep that in mind when reading my views of the novel. I gave a few scores extra points because based on the authors rate of improvement thus far, my issues will likely be handled fine.
Style:
I'm not super sure what perpective we're supposed to be taking in relation to the story, because it goes back and forth a bit. That said, I must compliment their ability to write scale exceptionally well. The god like entitiy we see for the first few chapters feels properly immense, but has just enough humanity to feel funny.
Grammar:
This section is one of the ones I boosted based on their improvement, but its not amazing to start with. I reccomend a program like grammarly to help void these issues entirely.
Story:
So far, the concept while not the newest, has enough fun twists that I can get behind it. The "AI" Sort of role is filled well, and I wouldn't be surprised if it became a favorite of mine in the future.
Character:
Character is a bit hard to judge from where I read up to, as no character has been consistently present throughout the chapters, but from the brief blurbs I've gotten of them, my impression is favorable. The protagonist reacted well enough to his "isekai invitation" he recieved, and like I said previously, the supporting character is pleasant.
