Sovereign Cipher [LitRPG/Progression]

Description

Left with no other options Trint must sink or swim. Earth is gone and the System has thrown him at the mercy of an Instance. Inside what Trint thought of as a dungeon, he must quickly make some choices if he wants to survive. Level, magic, stats, and System screens are now normal everyday things, but Trint must get beyond the lowly level 1 and reach the higher iterations if he wants to find his family.

Thankfully he makes a connection that has the experience and is willing to help. But there's a catch.

Thank you for considering reading the story.  It is my first and has been a rollercoaster writing it.

******

Chapters 1 to chapter 7 are changed, edited, and hopefully a lot better.

For those who read the story before it was updated, thank you. And I hope you reread the beginning and enjoy the update.

Best regards,

MavTech

I feel the best way to describe this novel is a mix between Ripple System and Hero of the Valley. You should definitely give this a read to at least chapter 12 if you're considering it!
The system is definitely the strongest element. It is clear the Author put significant thought into it.
However, I find the characters of pneuma and Trint to both be somewhat non-unique. They are good characters but do not  fully come to life. With new chapters they could certainly be further developed and come alive with distinct personalities.
Then, I dislike that the story is so martial focused. I would like a little bit more words on something not fighting whether it be meditation, life lessons, profession, etc. The world is complex enough that I think the author can aim high and try for that. Primal Hunter takes this to a bit of an extreme, but is generally in the vein of what I'm thinking there.
Finally, I feel that a majority of the training/improvement is skipped over or shortcutted thru pneuma. Words spent on Trint working to improve himself would definitely be a story upgrade.
I see no major issues with grammar and the style is great.

While the Character Trint needs to decipher his Sovereignty we can just read and enjoy it.
In short: System Apocalpyse with the MC getting recruited aka adopted by a powerful entity getting a mind companion and some starting cheats. It gets apparent really fast why he was chosen as he is a Sovereign, can bypass system restrictions, and has additional privileges.
It is enjoyable to read and we can expect some nice fights against overwhelming forces that try to catch him while he rises through the realms or iterations to get reunited with his family that was saved from a deadly accident to motivate him to grow strong faster.
    Hope it stays interesting!

I really recommend to read this story!
It has lots of potential and the author improves a lot from chapter to chapter. Chapter 11 is a turning point where i recommend to skip to if you do not like tutorials. Yes, the main character gets op fast but the author managed to lay a solid foundation by not going too fast or skipping over details. And although op in the beginning it is made clear that he is here for the endgame for the struggle in the multuverse and has no time to waste between the rabble but is forced to ascend fast while managing getting away not weakend. This was managed very successfully in my opionion. And the mc's op'ness will get balanced out at a point where it will make sense, there are already clear indicators in the chapters so far.
The story is topnotch as already described by me.
The main character is relatable and very nicely fleshed out, so no unexplainable behaviour or the like.
There are some minor grammatical issues but i didn't notice them until i actively searched for them. The reading experience does not suffer in the least from this.
The author sticks to his style which is very comfortable and written in a logical and entertaining way.
This is a must read and follow in my opionion with 5 stars from my side. I hope more people will read this story and we can discuss and exchange thoughts about it more in the comments.

I'm ten or so chapters in but since it looks like we're moving from the explanation part to the start of the character's journey, I thought I would stop and give a review.
This is a unique system apocalyptic story with an emphasis on cultivation rather than the traditional classes/skills (though it looks like there is room for those as well. Cultivation seems to be the main goal). It's one of those stories where you can tell the author really sat down and charted out the system. This can make for some dense first couple chapters, but things will slowly settle into place. I think it's more than worth the wait.
Style: I like the style. It's easy and except for a couple quibbles on the first chapter I found it easy to understand what was going on and the new world the MC found himself in.
Story: Again, the whole set up with the cultivation twist makes for a unique setting. I also like that there were clear goals set out for the MC.
Character: An easy 5 stars. The character is given a reason and motivation to get stronger from almost the very start. Though he goes through a tragedy at the beginning he doesn't wallow (thanks to the system, but still...). It's good stuff.
Grammar: Found some minor quibbles here and there. The writing smooths out as the chapters go on.

This is a great story. Very interesting and surprises me often with the direction it takes. The world is very different from things I've read previously and I look forward to seeing and learning more about it. Lots of world-building. With lots of frequent uploads at good quality this is a story that will leave you wanting more still.

This is a very interesting take on system is a guy. The MC is essentially a broken body degenerate, who finds himself in the New world with new opportunities to excel in life. I would definitely keep an eye on this one as it has the potential to go places. I will do a more in-depth and advanced review once I am able to read more of the story. So look forward to it.

System stories in my opinion are made or lost in the application of the System. This is not always the case, and LitRPGs that play more into the "lit" than "RPG" don't necessarily need the most robust or interesting system, but a story like this where the system is more prominent does need a good system. And I really enjoy the System of this story.
We are told of towering levels and impossibly old and powerful families in the hierarchy of a tower of multiple iterations and levels. This plays into the complexity of the system. I like that we have mind, body, spirit, truths, soul, etc. It hasn't been fully explained yet, but that's a good thing. We want new progression avenues. It's not so fun to just have "Get stronk, hit thing, get more stronk,"
For the character, I like that Trint is older and has a family. That's not a very common thing for these kind of stories and it makes it stick out in a sea of similar works. I hope the author finds success in his story and keeps writing so that us readers can get a satisfying end to Trint and Pneuma's story. (I also like the cipher image that appears between interludes)

I was surprised to learn that this is the author's first work-- it's engaging and interesting, fairly well paced, and delivers information frequently enough without going full info dump.
Trint is an interesting and likeable character with a rather sad back story who has been tossed into a system modelled after the midwest. I like that in addition to needing to learn the system itself, he also has some other mysteries that hint at a much larger scope to the universe of the system-- mysteries that do make him special and intriguing to follow, but not frustratingly OP (yet). Plus, his developing relationship with Pneuma is fun to watch and I can't wait to see where it ends up going.
There's juuuust enough scenes from the other worlds/universe to keep me very interested in the overall history of the system-- why and how it's there, how the dynasties play into it, etc. This is going to be a tale of epic proportions, I can tell!
As others have noted, the grammar tends to be the weakest part, but I read the updated early chapters and felt they were much improved. And really, that improvement tells you two very important things: the author is really invested in his work AND he's willing to improve and make changes if needed. Really, two of the very best attributes of a writer.
Very happy to have given Sovereign Cipher a shot, and you should, too!

I really enjoy the world-building of this world. The characters are well thought out and have very clear goals that they are trying to achieve. the powers and fighting are very well written and have an incredible flow to them. I also love that the fights feel not too easy and not too hard and that they are unbelievable. Pnuma is really interesting and provides an interesting guide to our MC. I love the mystery of when we will meet his new family and what the members will be like when we meet them.

As of the first iteration of this review, I've read through Chapter 11. I am enjoying the overall premise of this story, and very much want to continue reading for more content. The initial hook is strong with this one!
Updated review for after Chapter 56 at the bottom.
The general idea is the standard 'System that governs the universe eventually gets to Earth and yoinks the entire population into a gamelike fight for ascendancy' trope that, if you are here reading this review, you probably know and love. There are some caveats and twists in this particular yarn, but I won't spoil those for prospective readers.
Grammar is the weakest part of this story, as I have noticed and commented on quite a few issues that, for me, break immersion. Despite that, in the 11 chapters I have read so far there is noticeable improvement. I would expect that trend to continue so I will be sticking with the story despite normally not doing so when grammar is an issue.
Trint as a main character is fine so far. His back story kind of hits home to me, as I'm almost the same age and have the exact same family makeup as he does in the beginning. Perhaps that makes me biased, but I still enjoy it. His progress and reactions to the extenuating circumstances in this story so far are believable, including how the System is described as being able to manipulate his perceptions to mitigate adverse reactions.
This is a solid start for a first story, and I look forward to how it will progress. Thank you for sharing!
    Edit after Ch56:
I can't continue reading this story. After trying to help with grammar and some exposition excess edit suggestions, I took a break while the author did, then came back after several months to the same stuff in later chapters.
Minor spoilers after this... the power curve is exponential, with barely an explanation as to why or how. I really, really like the story idea, but I don't understand how Trint gets from a level zero nothing, to godlike being before he even really
