Echo's Evolution has been stubbed. Check it out on Amazon here:Link
Echo thought he’d been handed a perfect second life—reincarnated into a world of swords, magic, and endless growth just like in the fantasy stories he lost himself in to escape the hunger of hovering on the edge of poverty.
Then the quest went wrong.
Betrayed and left to die, he falls into the hands of a mad mage and is remade by a forbidden artifact—reborn as something wearing human skin, but no longer human. A hunger given form.
To survive, he must hunt.
Monsters. Twisted things that were once people. Their hearts are power—and he has no choice but to tear them out and devour them. Each kill makes him stronger. Each evolution takes something from him in return.
Kill. Consume. Evolve.
Humanity is a weakness he can’t afford. Mercy is a luxury that will get him killed. And the deeper he descends, the more he begins to wonder if there’s anything left of the man he used to be.
But hunger doesn’t stop. Not at monsters. Not at angels. Not even at gods.

- Apoll0Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0Has to have been one of my favourite reads so far. The author did a great job writing both the characters and their interactions with each other. The world building in-terms of both the verity and depth of people and cultures is amazing. If you enjoy a fantasy story that’s not to focused on the system mechanics side of things then I highly recommend giving this a read.
- DreadHawkRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0As of chapter 35 it’s a grate read the start is a smile slow but not bad. (Honestly I’m just used to the overview to take place in the first few chapters) I was pleasantly surprised with the romance elements, and the world building is really good! ( I hate the minimum word count for reviews) great book give it a go⭐️👍
- LegendaryWesleyRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This book is amazing it shows all of the dark things that can go wrong and how people who are victims of circumstance survive. I LOVE it so much It's a really good read. The author is also a pretty nice person too and comments pretty regularly which is nice.
- OmegareavenRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Let me start off by saying that I had wanted to do this review four chapters ago but got stuck in the reading mode. I just had to know what happened with a certain naughty priest before I could start this! Overall, I would recommend that everyone read this story, especially if they like fun hooks that help drive the narrative.
Style: I loved how this combines vivid imagery with great pacing. I was never stuck reading about a cave wall for eight paragraphs; instead, I got to read about new things happening in the Echo. The author creates a strong voice that stands throughout the chapters.
Story: This story is very character-driven and I don't just mean the MC. All the facets of the story are pushed forward by both the main view of our MC and the side characters affecting things in the background. This allows the story to develop lots of side plots that you'll now be thinking of as Echo moves his story forward. I thoroughly enjoyed seeing the visible progress in the story and not having to wait 30 chapters for new things to appear.
Character: The characters that appear in Echo's Evolution feel like part of the world, not just paintings. Whether it is to move the story forward, add a new plot for the future of the world, or delve into the world-building aspect, every character has achieved something.
Grammar: Nothing of note that stood out. I loved that the author addressed any concerns in this department that were commented on. Showed a willingness and drive to craft a great story! - Wings of IcarusRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I enjoyed the start, characters felt convincing and I’m looking forward to more. The Mc settling down to read Lord of the Rings is cool as well, because it’s one of my favourite books!
Style - pretty good, I have no issues!
Story - typical for beginning of any books of this genre, but I like this authors twist.
Character - Not arrogant, weathered by life and ready for an adventure out of the norm.
Grammar - No issues so far.

This is a fast-paced, immersive story, with solid world building and rich lore. Echo's evolution is an exceptional fantasy. Lovers of RPG's and anime will fall in love with this series and the evolution Echo goes through. The characters are relatable, the setting is vast and the possibilities are endless. For anyone who's ever wanted to jump head first into a vast fantasy world full of adventure, you'll love this.
- omegaoverrideRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Okay so echo is a little whiney about the whole eating people thing after he gets monsterfied, but he definitely becomes a BAMF anyway. I loved everything about the magic system and the way you ended it was beautiful nice closure. Also loving the new Versewalker story will probably be leaving a 5 star there as well. Congrats.
- TemaxRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5I love evolution stories done right. This one has a human mc which I dont realy like but makes up for it by giving him an actual personality while still keeping him on the "light side". I think this story will end up being pretty epic in my opinion. I love the side characters. The evil ones have a reason to be evil while the good ones arent "good two shoes" but have some thought behind their personality.
- V.K ShahRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5I am leaving this review at chapter 7 of the novel.
Right off the bat you can see just now much effort the author has put into his novel. From the worldbuilding, to the setting. From page one I'm curious about the different places, characters, and motivations hidden within the narrative.
Story:
the story gets a 5 stars from me as every chapter feels like it's got a goal in mind and is taking the reader further along with it. The progression is quick and fast paced and you'll be sucked in while reading it!
Grammar and style:
I've combined these two as the grammar is pretty much spot on with no issues to note.
The author has a very unique style not only of writing but also how they present their novel. From the way they mark character breaks, to the cover, to their use of fonts. Each part of this is thoughtful, artistic, and creative. Each aspect of the worldbuilding is detailed and it feels like a lot is going on outside of the story concerning the main protagonist (the world feels lived in)
My only criticism here is that the amount of exposition in the first few chapters is quite high, and while this does improve with later chapters it can interfere with the overall pacing of the novel.
Character:
The main character Echo is initially relatable, and the way he is presented makes him effective for this genre as a self insert isekai protagonist. It would be interesting to see how he responds to situations where he is taken out of his comfort zone. His motivations are strong but I would like to see them affect his behaviours on a more personal level
I am curious to see how it develops, but as I am not that far in yet the character feels like the weakest aspect to me during the initial chapters.
Overall:
This novel knows what it's doing and executes it well. If you're a fan of the isekai high fantasy genre you will no doubt be sucked in to this with it's incredibly strong worldbuilding and amount of work the author has put in. A great novel to get lost in! - PaleWaffleRoyal Road★★★ 2.5the setting originated from a ttrpg, and unfortunately it carries too much influence from that origin, for me. I am required to suspend my disbelief far too often to enjoy this story.
premise: interesting enough, isekai evolution is fun. nothing really original that I've noticed yet, and there are plenty of common tropes present.
world building: a lot of interesting details being pulled from the ttrpg-origins (author has confirmed that this world came from a ttrpg), however most of these details arrive via info dump. the author does warn that ch 1-9 are for world building, but even with that, there's way too much info dump, the information is not delivered naturally. even the part where the first minor antagonist is characterized as evil/jealous includes infodumping.
one awkward thing is that the author made one of the races speak Japanese (only earth language involved in the story so far, just so happens to be the one non-english language the MC speaks, wow what a coincidence). however, they describe it as "Gori/Japanese" in text, exactly like that with the "/" every time. this just breaks immersion imo. the love interest also speaks this language and her last name is Soju. Soju, are you serious?! might as well have named the main character "John Weeb American"
characters: also unfortunately feel straight out of a ttrpg. I have found inconsistencies or questions about every character in every chapter so far. particularly, the main character feels like when you make a dnd char and choose their backstory for mechanical instead of lore reasons. he is supposed to be ex military, teacher, and familiar enough with games to min-max and know common tropes. he doesn't feel like that character, he acts like someone is playing him in a ttrpg. he chooses the world by asking for one with magic, and then proceeds to instantly know how to cast many spells and never shows any excitement about what was supposedly the driving factor behind the world he picked. just feels like the sc
