Echo's Evolution has been stubbed. Check it out on Amazon here:Link
Echo thought he’d been handed a perfect second life—reincarnated into a world of swords, magic, and endless growth just like in the fantasy stories he lost himself in to escape the hunger of hovering on the edge of poverty.
Then the quest went wrong.
Betrayed and left to die, he falls into the hands of a mad mage and is remade by a forbidden artifact—reborn as something wearing human skin, but no longer human. A hunger given form.
To survive, he must hunt.
Monsters. Twisted things that were once people. Their hearts are power—and he has no choice but to tear them out and devour them. Each kill makes him stronger. Each evolution takes something from him in return.
Kill. Consume. Evolve.
Humanity is a weakness he can’t afford. Mercy is a luxury that will get him killed. And the deeper he descends, the more he begins to wonder if there’s anything left of the man he used to be.
But hunger doesn’t stop. Not at monsters. Not at angels. Not even at gods.

- Apoll0Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0Has to have been one of my favourite reads so far. The author did a great job writing both the characters and their interactions with each other. The world building in-terms of both the verity and depth of people and cultures is amazing. If you enjoy a fantasy story that’s not to focused on the system mechanics side of things then I highly recommend giving this a read.
- OmegareavenRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Let me start off by saying that I had wanted to do this review four chapters ago but got stuck in the reading mode. I just had to know what happened with a certain naughty priest before I could start this! Overall, I would recommend that everyone read this story, especially if they like fun hooks that help drive the narrative.
Style: I loved how this combines vivid imagery with great pacing. I was never stuck reading about a cave wall for eight paragraphs; instead, I got to read about new things happening in the Echo. The author creates a strong voice that stands throughout the chapters.
Story: This story is very character-driven and I don't just mean the MC. All the facets of the story are pushed forward by both the main view of our MC and the side characters affecting things in the background. This allows the story to develop lots of side plots that you'll now be thinking of as Echo moves his story forward. I thoroughly enjoyed seeing the visible progress in the story and not having to wait 30 chapters for new things to appear.
Character: The characters that appear in Echo's Evolution feel like part of the world, not just paintings. Whether it is to move the story forward, add a new plot for the future of the world, or delve into the world-building aspect, every character has achieved something.
Grammar: Nothing of note that stood out. I loved that the author addressed any concerns in this department that were commented on. Showed a willingness and drive to craft a great story! - SiliconWolfRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0First, some praise to the author.
There were a couple things that really bugged me about this story, and I was very annoyed at those flaws. The author didn't take it personally (or if they did, they didn't show it), but instead looked at what I didn't like and agreed with me.
You won't find those flaws anymore. They're removed, and I don't see any (except maybe 1) spots that need more adjusting. Kudos to the author for listening! And apologies as well, for anything I wrote that sounded like anger towards you.
Ok, now to the story.
Grammar is fine. Unlike some stories on RR, author has a good understanding of the comma. :D
Style is also good. There's plenty of POV changes, but they're clearly marked and support the story instead of taking away from it.
Plot and worldbuilding is winding up well. We don't know a lot yet, but so far there are no unexplained inconsistencies.
Characters! This was where most of my problems were located. And the fixes (as I said before) are well done.
TL;DR: if you enjoy ability steal stories where numbers go up, this is an excellent addition to add to your follow list. - SovranoRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Style: The style in which the story is written is simple and straightforward while also having its own descriptive way to expose the readers to the information they need. Since it adopts a 3rd person's POV, the jump of the perspective that the author often uses doesn't feel jarring. It feels fluid instead. I'm a fan already!
Grammar: The sentences are great; no problem whatsoever. The word choices to paint the scene are also accurate; hats off to the author. It is beautifully written and has a touch of sophistication to it that adds to the flavor of how the story is brought up.
Story: Throughout the earlier chapters, the readers are pulled into this sense of security that everything's going to work out well for the MC. He got to choose his blessings and stats and was about to live his fantasy of being a hero, not the hero. Meanwhile, throughout all that, the author also leaves bits of foreshadowing about the plot, which the readers should know if they read the synopsis. And culminating above all that is the turning point in chapter 11.
Chapters 1 - 10 feel like a prologue, and when the plot hits, it just feels different. Very well put and written, not gonna lie.
Character: If there's one thing I have to complain about all this, it is because of the characters. The MC is too naive and trusty despite having died once. But before we get on to that, I just want to say that Kalinor or whatever just rubs me off in the wrong way. He was irresponsible and whimsical to an annoying degree. Then again...he was a god, so...
Then there's the MC; you would think that after getting left alone by the god just before he's about to reincarnate all because of a freaking dinner, it would tell him something about this whole new life he's about to embark on...
But no. He just has to lay it all for the whole freaking guild to see just how green and clueless he is. I get that all of this is intentional to maybe leave room for his further growth, but there's just no sense of panic whatsoeve - Wings of IcarusRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I enjoyed the start, characters felt convincing and I’m looking forward to more. The Mc settling down to read Lord of the Rings is cool as well, because it’s one of my favourite books!
Style - pretty good, I have no issues!
Story - typical for beginning of any books of this genre, but I like this authors twist.
Character - Not arrogant, weathered by life and ready for an adventure out of the norm.
Grammar - No issues so far.

This is a fast-paced, immersive story, with solid world building and rich lore. Echo's evolution is an exceptional fantasy. Lovers of RPG's and anime will fall in love with this series and the evolution Echo goes through. The characters are relatable, the setting is vast and the possibilities are endless. For anyone who's ever wanted to jump head first into a vast fantasy world full of adventure, you'll love this.
- omegaoverrideRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Okay so echo is a little whiney about the whole eating people thing after he gets monsterfied, but he definitely becomes a BAMF anyway. I loved everything about the magic system and the way you ended it was beautiful nice closure. Also loving the new Versewalker story will probably be leaving a 5 star there as well. Congrats.
- DreadHawkRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0As of chapter 35 it’s a grate read the start is a smile slow but not bad. (Honestly I’m just used to the overview to take place in the first few chapters) I was pleasantly surprised with the romance elements, and the world building is really good! ( I hate the minimum word count for reviews) great book give it a go⭐️👍
- LegendaryWesleyRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This book is amazing it shows all of the dark things that can go wrong and how people who are victims of circumstance survive. I LOVE it so much It's a really good read. The author is also a pretty nice person too and comments pretty regularly which is nice.
- Psycho_Wolf_LTRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5I'm not good enough at reviews to do the advanced review, but honestly this is one of the better litrpg's I've read on here.
Power and morality doesn't equal ability, a lesson hard learned by our protagonist- who chooses to try and be a hero no matter what.
You won't get bogged down with stats and skills, nor builds with convoluted interactions to break an OP system. Everyone lives, makes mistakes, and everyone gets their turn.
I won't spoil anything here, the characters are believable, the writing is commendable, and the story well-thought out. There is a definite end to all things, and I was happy to have read this one. 10/10 recommended.
Now, all this said: there is a grim/dark tag there for a reason. Some content is most definitely not for your casual reader, and other content is more horrific in implication and results than many other stories are willing to go.
