Conversations might be a little rough to read sometimes, but I would overall say that this is getting into some very interesting stuff. Personally, I've never actually read anything of this genre, so this might be the most satirical stuff in the world and all, but I still feel that this has a serious chance of actually becoming something good.
    5/5 for now. Has potential.

I was pleasantly surprised to by this story. Even though I haven't seen any magical girl shows, I could still get into Shattered Stardust.
Style: The narration is straightfoward and easy to digest. It isn't bloated in the slightest; the author gets straight to the important parts so you don't resort to skimming due to long and excessive prose and descriptions. The narrator's voice also has a bit of charm to it; at times it does feel like a teenage girl is retelling the story with the quips and mannerism, which matches the POV character perfectly.
Grammar: Essentially a non-issue. I found one missing letter within the first four chapters, so you won't be stumbling over trying to figure what the author was saying.
Story: Easily my favorite part of Shattered Stardust. So far, the core premise has been established; there is an evil entity threatening the world and Ileana is an inexperience teenager that has been chosen to stop it. Nothing original, but that's what makes it engaging. The risks are clear and the protagonist is relatable, making it an easy-to-flow plot with evident risks.
Character: Ileana is a standard magical girl protagonist; she's smart, pretty and inexperienced with her duty. The relationship presented with her bunica (grandmother), although brief, was well written and very emotional.  As of now, there aren't too many characters present (seems like there is potential for other team members, but I'm not sure), but Ileana gets the most attention by far. As of now, she doesn't seem to have too wild of a personality, but that's not a bad point at all. She feels like that one person in school that was always an over-achiever (which, in a protagonist role, might be an acquired taste for some). Time will tell how she develops.
Overall, a definite recommend, especially if you enjoy this genre in anime/manga or if you're into something more superhero-esque.

The story is off to a solid start, what I read so far hits the feels hard , and seems a little heavier than standard magical girl fare, but that really is a good thing. ^-^ It feels like she really is dropped in the deep end out of nowhere in just the right way.
