The story starts off well with a quick introduction to the main character, some background information well sprinkled in, and motivations for actions and thoughts immediately. The opening chapters don’t skip a beat, jumping right into the action and real meat of the story while still pacing well to keep you wanting to read the next chapter.
The style is relaxed and quick in the best way. The world of the MC is set and quickly changed, but he adapts understandably while being focused on surviving and finding his sister. He’s rational and takes action, which helps move the story along and kept me engaged to find out what happens next!
The grammar is excellent and consistent, which is refreshing. Nothing took me out of the story while reading it and I wasn’t distracted in the slightest for word choices or phrases. It made sense overall and was exciting to boot.
I’m excited to see where this story goes and I know it will do well! Obviously the author has a plan for the story and has put a lot of effort into the world-building and execution. There’s great potential for a well-crafted, put together plot while keeping the fun of monster slaying, loot finding, and leveling up that’s found in a great litRPG.

Overall: A good litrpg apocalypse in the making. Author said he had a plan and a long backlog of chapters already and it shows. Series is clearly thought out and I can’t wait to see more of it.
Style: Prose flows very nicely making it easy to turn the pages. Lot of rpg pop ups, maybe a little too much but it doesn’t distract from the story. Good word choice, good sentence structure, good style.
Story: Quick introduction to the main character and his circumstances then right into the plot. Dropped in the middle of a system apocalypse and given a major role with little information, he adapts quickly and gets right into achieving his goal of finding his sister. Heavy litrpg elements, mmo style. Might not be some people’s thing but it’s done well here, and the system is well crafted. Interesting and it makes you want to push Finn along faster to learn more about it.
Character: Finn’s had a hard life and then the system makes it even harder. He struggles with the truth of his new reality but doesn’t let that stop him. He’s a rootable guy and a good POV for the story. Not many other characters with decent page time at this point but I imagine they’ll be just as good when they show up.
Grammar: Solid grammar, not much more to say.

I wanted to like this book. I enjoyed the first two chapters very much. I like the characters. I like their situation. I've been in a couple of those situations.
But when I got to the chapter where the celestial Ascension started happening and all this other stuff and he had to choose fire.....
I'm tired of fire. Fire is a big thing with these kinds of novels.... Too much of a thing. Just like people say the word awesome too much it's there. I get it fires. Amazing. I'm not a fool creation, destruction, etc.
But I'm sick of it especially in the beginning. Thank you for your writing sir.
Can't read it now because of the fire right away. It's got to be fire every time.
