Even after the bombs fell, even after countries unleashed weapons beyond imagining on one another, even after lawlessness became the norm, people still expect their mail.
As a deadman, I'm uniquely suited to deliver it. Rads don't bother me, and people who try to hurt me typically wind up dead. Sure, humans may not like dealing with a face like mine, but hey, you can't beat my express rates.
A dystopian litrpg in the vein of Fallout and The Postman

- Void_CrafterRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0You should give this a read. Other reviews can give you a better explanation or justification, I'll just leave you with this; it some how gets even better with every successive volume. It is leaving royal road soon, so read it quickly before it goes to Amazon, or just read it there.
Happy reading and try to not read it all at once. - BioHazard1326Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0This story is like Fallout, The Postman and Mad Max all bundled up into one. It had similarities from all but is distinctly different and original in a way that makes it a really good read. Because of this it Is a brutal story. The main character is not a hero, but he's not evil either, so expect to see blood, and a lot of it. Grammar is perfect, story is amazing and keeps flowing nicely and the characters continue to be fleshed out. If you like wastelands and post government authority this is the read for you.
- BossitronasRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I would put this up there with my favorite LitRPG systems stories. The system makes logical sense but it also doesnt flood you with rows of text for stats.
The tone of and setting of the story is top notch. It does take alot of inspiration from the fallout series but in the best way possible by adding unique elements that helps the story stand on its own. - BullerRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Was so sad I never found that joke hidden somewhere. With all the other bits of dark humor, I was honestly expecting something more depricating. Sure, we get the good ol nationalism barks and a good bit of humans being evil but where is the really dumb jokes hiding? That's what life's all about anyway.
Grammar is pretty decent. Couldn't find anything I could be angry about. Personality of MC is pretty dead. 5/5 - CarterRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0It’s a good read, the ending is tough but it’s worth it.
I read the entire book on RR and I am very glad I did.
I do wish there was more of an ending but overall I empathized with all of the characters and loved it.
10/10 long live Donovan, the Glowing Man. - qalRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0what would you do in a broken world if you suddenly gained power to change things?
a story about a fallout-esque adventuring "deadman" ghoul told with style and conviction.
the world is dark, but not grim. there's a lot of death and callousness, but a yearning also for justice and goodness, in wasteland flavor. - DOOMBUNNYakaKIPARoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Bloody hell, story deserves its current ranking close to 5 stars and that says something considering reviews should be about criticism. I guess I got a case of fanboying, my utmost of condolences to anyone who might read this.
Style is good and the main character is aware of his past, present and prepares for his future. He feels alive and that causes the story to feel alive which is a style almost every author can learn from.
The story overall is a backseat to an amazing open-world game-like fiction that feels fleshed out and amazing. The exploration, wonder and many references makes for an enrapturing world.
Grammar is slightly flawed regarding the occasional apostrophe and other simple fuck-ups, but otherwise it’s good. The vocabulary isn’t needlessly advanced or posh nor too simple.
Characters aren’t that fleshed out besides the main character. Do they need to be in a first-person post-apocalyptic exploration fiction? Not really. We learn about them what the main character is able to glean from them and their surroundings and nothing more.
This is just a good story that isn’t needlessly wordy and doesn’t describe everything in minute detail. I really felt like giving it a review because it deserves it. A lot of action without becoming too much somehow. - DaemonSzymanRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This story was such an amazing journey to read. I had started reading this many months ago when book 3 hadnt even been started, and decided to wait until the full release before returning to the story. I regret nothing.
The grammar isnt exceptional, nor is the style world-leading, and yet this may well be the best novel I have read in many years. The characters grow more intricate as you read, slow development while keeping in tune with the originals that we were introduced. Yet, the characters don't become too in-depth. The author treads a fine line of making us care for these people, these characters that appear often, and yet retaining this novels purpose as a first-person experience.
The plot is great, sure it had a few hiccups and at times it's very obvious to see what happens, yet it delivers all the same. Not one part of this story was unenjoyable to read, or a chore to get through. One thing I would have liked to have expanded upon was Donovans past, and yet it felt quite fitting for the story to mostly gloss over it with the small reminder here and there, showing donovans determination to continue living in the present.
At the end of the day, this is a brilliant story that fulfills all those little niches that I like and avoids a lot of pitfalls that make me drop stories. - KiwiMalabaristaRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0With the story coming to an end, I wanted to give a nice review so you know people like me (lurking, usually) also appreciate your work even if we don't comment every chapter.
I'll keep it brief since I don't really have much to say besides to sing praises of this story. I started this one because I enjoy LitRPG stories and I usually check them out, but since the beginning, that aspect has been merely secondary, just background noise. Once you notice that, damn, the characters and the world are just so interesting and compelling, I started to enjoy it as a damn good fantasy western.
Donovan is such a real, raw character. It's impressive. I felt like he was a blank MC with no drive at the start, but there's a depth to him that I can only appreciate with the story ending, and it makes me want to reread it all over again, which is not something I do usually with RR stories. And while this story is complete and satisfying, I wouldn't mind reading more from this universe, but that's just me missing the world already, more than any real need for it.
From now on, I'll keep on following the author and read their future works, because it got me, you're that good. I hope to see any kind of updates for future projects. Thank you for writing this story. - LordOfPearsRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I really enjoyed my read.
+Veteran of the wastes protag, he acts like a true wastelander. Paranoid and alert, mc's secondary job fits him like a glove with his personality, will go beyond and above for delivering leaded justice
+World building done nicely
+The rest of the characters are written solidly
+Like a battle pass, read more to get more fun bits
- IDK didn't find any flaws.
