Description

Paradigms Beyond: The Dying Worldis more than an apocalypse story.

Hello everyone,

I’m writing a story calledParadigms Beyond, a series currently planned across five volumes. The Dying Worldis the first book.

This story blends sci-fi, fantasy, and slow-burn romance, while exploring philosophical questions, ancient myths, and the belief systems that have shaped our world.

The Dying Worldbegins in a post-apocalyptic version of our own world—one overtaken by the infecteds. It explores emotional, psychological, and moral struggles, while gradually building toward a much larger narrative across future volumes.

Since childhood, I’ve been fascinated by ancient civilizations, inherited myths, and religious ideas. This story is my attempt to bring those elements together, inspired in part by concepts from Zoroastrianism and other belief systems.

While some aspects are grounded in current scientific understanding, this is ultimately a work of imagination.

The story doesn’t shy away from difficult themes. It can be heavy, and at times suffocating, reflecting the darker sides of humanity and morality.

I truly appreciate your support as this story continues to grow.

First few chapter is more like a romance novel in the worst place possible, but what i love the most, is the emotional, social, and philosophical messages it start revealing.

The story seemed interesting at first going by the synopsis and the premise it offered, but the first freaking paragraph was littered with so many made up pronouns for some kind of AI (or so I’m assuming). It made reading it so clunky and slow, not to mention CRINGY even in my head that I lost interest at the speed of light. I read fiction to have an escape from our crazy reality and relax, not struggle to learn and remember an entirely new grammar convention that feels incredibly unnatural to a native English speaker well enough to not get thrown right out of my story immersion before I can even get into it. Heck, I’m not even necessarily complaining about the pronouns themselves, given that it’s not even a human entity, so it having different ones might make sense from a watsonian perspective. It’s that it’s so jarringly forced onto us right from the get go with only a pre-chapter note to explain it, like some kind of textbook reference we have to study, rather than being gradually eased into it more naturally via character interaction, or preferably, only mentioned as some cultural or character relevant detail but then only occasionally mentioned or used after instead of having the author ramming down a very cognitively dissonant change to the actual grammar conventions of a language down our throat, one native English speakers grew up with and would obviously have a difficult time adjusting to. We get enough of that in the real world, so NO THANK YOU.
