- JaydcarRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0stop saying “guys” every sentence.
what sounds better?
“I don’t want anything from you guys. I have something that might interest you however.” It seemed as if the warrior was smiling inside his helmet. “How about this, I am new here and I don’t know my way around yet so why don’t you guys tell me about this place and as compensation I will take you guys to lunch.”

In my initial read-through I found the story to get better the further i progressed.
It has good character build-up except for the main characters Drac and Lidia, whose being the author couldn't convery properly, all characters profiles are well done and alway hint that there is something more to it than what's initially told; i.e Luvrit's triple layered character design where he shows his true self through thoughts, actions, and flashbacks. Drac's character is your alpha male type of character and Natravi is the cold ice queen type, these two are the main characters and they do have a more diverse relationship (thank god!) than simple Girl obeys everything the Man does though, like before this isn't addressed in this book but possibly the sequel.
The story, initially, is quite simple. It follows the trend of stranger arrives to town and shit happens. But as i progressed i realized what the image on this pic was for, zombies in medieval times and conspiracies in a fiefdom directed at it's destruction. What makes this story unique is the world the author is able to build around it with flashbacks and thoughts that make the reader understands and follow in such a short amount of time and then do something that makes you question their actions only for it to be later realized that it is just them showing their true selves instead of hiding behind the proverbial masks the author i trying to portray. So this is very good in the terms that it confirms the title as true centre of the story while every revolving around it has its own story to tell.
Of course nothing is perfect so there are a few tweaks that need to be addressed. I can go on for hours on the grammer mistakes/ debates on the authors logic but i am a busy person so i will say this only; If you like the strong male/strong female duo, if you like dark fantasy where unspeakable things are done by children because the world makes it so, if you are into the gory details of a man ge
