Description

The only thing Snow loves more than magic... istaking it apart. When the world starts to end at the hands of the Tower and its Eyes - the gods looking down from its peak - all humanity is granted inherent skills. Snow's [Suppression] can weaken anyone and anything. Combined with a class focused on anti-magic, it won't matter whether someone is stronger or faster or a better mage, so long as Snow has mana. And with a near-limitless mana pool, Snow will break them all. There are just four people Snow needs to find at any cost before the tower fully integrates Earth and they're ready to climb. And they will climb - all the way up. Those arrogant Eyes need to be torn from their gilded thrones, after all. And Snow is ready to break them, too. - What to expect: - Cold, relentless MC who is willing to die and kill for their friends (Killing in self-defence, usually). Very hardworking, will absolutely stare at the eldritch truth till their eyes bleed just to figure it out. - Anti-Magic, Debuffing, Enchanting, Healing abilities for Snow. In that order. - Tower climbing with gods watching. Sponsorships and other interference from above, limited by the Tower's desire to foster talent. - Sysapoc for 35 chapters, then entering into the Tower proper. Floors provide unique challenges with ascension quests. - Autistic traits. Hypersensitivity, some misunderstandings. MC is blunt but tries to be decent; generally neurospicy cast - Queer people. Enbies, trans people, and bisexuals abound. There will be various flavours of minor romances in the background, queer and straight. Snow doesn't really date but does get flirted with occasionally. I find that Snow (MC) straightforward character with a lot of interesting supporting characters on the side.
The story doesn't waste any time at the start to introduce us to anyone or anything but are launched directly into the thick of the story and within the first 12 chapters you can already gleam potential antagonist that could come later.

This is yet another amazing novel from my favorite author! I am also subscribed to the patreon and have thus been able to read ahead and can only say that the story just keeps getting better - higher stakes, more interesting and realistic characters and Kernoels unique and refreshing writing style throughout. Snow is such a great idea for a protagonist and feels like a breath of fresh air in a genre that has started to feel stale and repetitive to me. The story weaves different themes and subgenres together masterfully - the story evolves naturally and the shifts never feel forced but fill me with excitement of what's to come next. No matter whether it is monsters, aliens, or gods that the story introduces, it stays a great exploration of human nature. The author also seems to be exploring with faster pacing now which keeps the momentum of the story going and gives me the "oh shit I have already read 10 chapters?" moments as you immediately click next chapter. And Kernoels humor just gets makes me chuckle and has been the cause of many a meme in my friend group. If you are a fan of exciting adventures, a fresh take on your favorite genre, and great character work then definitely give this story a try!

This novel has everything I want from a litrpg. The system is interesting to the point I'm always looking forward to what the characters will find out or learn next. Especially Snow, they're very analytical which is great, I really enjoy magic being deconstructed to its smallest parts, so if you do as well, this story is for you.The characters are very compelling, with great interactions. They all have their quirks I'm excited to learn more about, and none of them are treated like they are negatives. How casually and unapologetically queer this story is, is just the cherry on top. It's something I often miss when I'm looking for something that's just a good litrpg, so of course the combination is ideal.

This story is very well thought out and knows what it is doing. The litrpg aspect is unique and interesting. The protagonist and their friends are a breath of fresh air. The queer parts are well done and realistic, the author is also very nice. Very excited to continue reading!

Style - The style reminds me of "The Legend of William Oh", but with shorter chapters, multiple Pov's, occasional snippets of dialogue before the chapter starts. Very good
Story - still early in the book but I think its excellent, a incredibly creative skill system (may very well be my favourite in all the books ive ever read, its just got so much potential and its so eloquently simple) and excellent explanation of a progression system, fantastic world building, (cliche but not overdone imo) some parts remind me of "Runeblade: A Delving And Skill Merging LitRPG" and of "Omniscient Readers Viewpoint"
Grammar - very rare, well done . Never much to say here
character - Oh how i love them, I am always in need of a capable well written female lead, too many stories over inflate a characters capabilities without backing it in the story, not this one, Snow is the mc for a reason. And all of the other characters are good. Side Characters are given personality and dialogue, they exist ij the world they inhibit and react based on who they are. lots of background characters that im hoping  will pop back up in time but they've left in impact in the short time they show up regardless.
Overall: excellent book, good characters, and huge potential in the long run, and currently consistent uploads barely have ta wait.

All drag is valid. And so are all stories (Maybe). Will you be particularly impressed by this content ? Most likely not. Will you see anything too revolutionary ? Maybe not. Will you form a deep emotional connection that will writhe in your guts 5 chapters in ? Its happened to me before but not here. But that's not a bad thing. This is a story that exists as the result of hundreds of hours of hard work and stands in the space that it was created as a half decent LIT RPG.So Author. Slay Diva. You go glen coco.

TLDR - This story is awesome and you should go read it!
This story ticks a lot of boxes for me, and it's been a blast! Full Disclaimer, I know the author and have been able to read it a good bit ahead of releases.
    Characters - 5/5
This is were the story shines! The cast is extremely diverse, both on a queer side and on the diversity of personalities.
Snow, the MC, is a joy to read - blunt, straightforward, and not afraid to get hands dirty. Snow has absolutely no regard for their own physical health, and uses it as a tool for magical advancements or to protect their friends.
The supporting cast is also very fun! All of Snows immediate friends have fun and sometimes extreme, but realistic personalities. (some of em aren't okay in the head, and that's coolio!) There is also a fair bit of character growth all around the story.
    Story - 5/5
The SysApoc/Tower Climbing is nothing unseen before, but it's very well executed. The characters actually have a motivation for climbing, which is neat.
Watching Snow understand Magic better and better over the time, and researching things, and figuring things out and gaining new abilities and tools is extremely satisfying to me.
    Style - 5/5
The narration style is very quick and punchy. It's often dead-pan, and fits Snow, who is narrating it, to a t.
    Grammar - 5/5
As germans like to say - there's nothing to complain about. (Highest Praise Possible)

The MC Snow, is rather enjoyable for a more no-nonsense, or at least, little nonsense character; rather stoic at times, fitting well alongside the growing cast of characters, focusing on friends and friend's family.
I have no real complaints about grammar, punctuation and prose; though i will say, the character isn't very emotion driven, feeling nonchalant about everything,
Even the act of killing another person with an axe, given that person shot them with an arrow; it still feels off they accepted their circumstances so quickly, possible future breakdown?
So far, would say if you're a fan of Litrpg, with not a lot of heavy math/system tables, I'd say give it a go, it is far from the worst read out there in this genre. ^-^

As a patreon reader currently around chapter 30 (20 more chapters dropped today on patreon so this is going to be the next sever hours or my life) I can tell you this is a very good story. The apocalypse is suitably dire and world shattering and treated in the story with the appropriate level of diversity, people thrilled, terrified, in denial, taking advantage immediately, ect.The characters are wonderful, always Kernoel's specialty. Lovely "flawed" protagonists (Snow has never done anything wrong and is without flaw, do not listen to anyone else), friends, annoying parents, cute aliens from another dimension, and lots of people that absolutely suck (cops, politicians, you know the type). And also a character that it would be a spoiler to even describe. :)

This is an amazingly written story, with such a fun premise and deep character work that I just adore! It has amazingly addicting chapters, that you just want to devour and then read more and more and more!!
I love all of the characters but find myself especially fond of Snow and all of her friends. I love the new friends that she meets along the way and I can honestly say this litrpg is amazing with aspects that are completely unique and I haven't read one quite like this before.
The style is elegant, smooth, and flowing. I love the author's voice, how masterfully they weave their words to create a compelling story that I can't wait to read more of! It's a litrpg and has some elements of an apocalypse but I can honestly say I haven't read another like this. I can't wait to see where the story goes!
The pacing and story development are also VERY well done! You can tell the author has taking a lot of time to build up the world, and every word they write informs the reader and sets the vibes and also moves the story forward in an interesting way. Its been especially awesome as each chapter feels like it has a specific ebb and flow, and then you get to the end of it and you're so sad when there is no next chapter button!
The grammar is also very well done there is nothing that blocks the joy of the story. The voice, the prose, the story elements are so strong that even though I see some edit suggestions they are all very minor line edits and don't detract from the story at all.
The characters I think might be the best part, for me. This story is character centric from the beginning, both with Snow's initial goals, and the group dynamics between all of her friends, old and new. Each character feels fully realized and their starting skills give you hints as well. There are juicy little nuggets and tidbits of information throughout every layer of the tale. And its just so enjoyable too! I can't wait to read more of this and see where the author takes us!
