I love a good transmigrated villainess story and this time at least we don’t have the frustration of the heroine having to deal with the misdeeds of her host body. Instead we get the sense that Violet was too well behaved and polite to make a fuss while being treated appallingly by a succession of people who chose not to know better.By making Mira a serial transmigrator we get to do away with all the “oh my what is happening? Am I in a coma?” Malarkey which does get quite old if you’re a villainess story junkie. Instead we get a competent heroine who immediate sorting her life out and making smart choices.  So far it’s early days in the story but I have high hopes for satisfying arcs with all of the interesting characters introduced so far.

Wow, this is quite a subversion of tropes.A lot of effort is taking to fleshing the world out, and letting the characters feel like they have their own dynamics. What’s great is that this process feels woven in the story.Part of Mira’s story so far is her illness that killed the original, and her seizures that trigger in regaining memories depending on how traumatic it was. It’s a clever way to slowly ingratiate her in the world, and create tension from learning more about her new family, or reconnecting to other character like her old fiancé.Mira has a refreshing 2 cents that seems to put a lot of stuff in content, and this is built around that she’s been repeating a process of being isekai’ed into villainess’ roles for hundreds of years. It’s also interesting to see her build a profile on her obstacles, and how the story subverts her expectations or ours.Villainess stories can be notorious for failing their side characters for being basic, but there’s a refreshing dynamic on characters that twists things around. For example, her nanny is really reliable and it shows despite her not being the center of attention. The found family, and navigation of the awkwardness seems genuine , and rewarding seeing them gradually growth closer and since this is the first time any of her sisters and her/original villainess started to build trust. What really works is that things feel genuine, and everything feels woven together. Also writing this on a lack of sleep, but my point of this review is everything feels cohesive, characters feel like characters and a lot of things are either woven together or stating to come together in a beautiful way.

I love transmigrated-as-a-villainess stories so this immediately appealed to me and I was not disappointed. Mira, our villainess, is a fantastic mix of vulnerable, empathetic, ruthless, and badass. It was very easy to get invested in her story, as she has a few crucial details to her backstory that make her situation a little more interesting than the usual truck-kun victim. The author is slowly revealing her backstory and I'm here for it.The other characters are based on the familiar archetypes, but they're also interestingly nuanced and, frankly, pretty fun. Personal favorites are the Saintess and our ML, who also has a bit more going on under the hood than I expected going in!PLOT: ★★★★★The beginning let's you sink into the world and the characters before taking off! The plot flows well, with some excellent surprises so far and nice character moments. No excessive face-slapping or revenge so far, but appropriate consequences for the antagonists.WORLD BUILDING: ★★★★★Layers on layers! The author starts with a somewhat standard world that seems familiar from other entries in the genre and then expands on it with innovative details and more - don't want to spoil it - but the lore is interesting.PROSE: ★★★★★Exposition heavy, but in a way that flows well. The writing is smooth, easy to read, and engaging. The dialogue is natural and often witty without becoming banter for the sake of it. I think it's above the usual standard, which makes this one to read even if the genre isn't your favorite.

This is a great story. It is well written and updated regularly. The main character is likeable and I find the ongoing story to be enjoyable. I will be interested to see more of the world building and entanglements with other characters as the story develops. I sincerely wish lots of success for this author.
