- Maaku Yuujiin KurosubiiRoyal Road★★ 2.0This story is a disappointing attempt at writing a fantasy romance in a dark setting. The author fails to create any sense of tension, suspense, or emotion in the story, and instead resorts to graphic descriptions of violence and sex that do not serve any purpose. The characters are flat and uninteresting, and their actions are illogical and inconsistent. The plot ending is rushed and unsatisfying. The writing style is bland and lacks any depth. It is too short to develop any depth or complexity. I give it 2 out of 5 stars at most.
- luda305Royal Road★★ 1.5It's very difficult to read. Most of the story is dialogue, but there are no quotation marks or any other form of punctuation to indicate when speaking starts or stops.
The plot is about as simple as it comes.
A goddess reincarnates the male protagonist into a world without light and he bumbles around, stumbles across a rape, rescues the girl, and they walk around together for a while before they live happily ever after.
And it's not executed in any way that could be called interesting. It's very bland in style (if strangely graphic).
The characters have almost no depth. I don't really know anything about the protagonist other than that he's a guy who wants a girl but it a pretty decent guy. And the girl is the girl.
Warning: there is a rape depicted. - RznRoyal Road★ 1.0Why a 1 star? The premise is of a man who reincarnates into 'total darkness', perhaps that means he is blind - it makes the most sense - but the story itself cannot muster the setting or develop the characters enough to establish anything. It lacks proper structure and formatting to discern which character is speaking, let alone provide enough context to the reader to accurately inform the reader as to what is happening. While crudely described, this focuses on the MC coming across a rape, something happens that is open to interpretation and they walk and walk until it ends. The writing is not good, and it is hard to take it seriously. I'm sorry to give it such a low rating, but nothing of grammar, story, or even style warrants it being higher - as is the piece not even coherent.
