Saw this story advertised on Reddit so decided to give it a shot - I do not regret this decision.
The writing is very high quality. I am typically very annoyed by grammatical errors and the like, however, there are none to be found in this story. The "Plot" so far is very reminiscent to The Primal Hunter (guy starts out as an office worker and then gets sent into a tutorial with his fellow staff). The only annoying thing I've found so far is just how much the MC is bullied. It feels a bit forced but, otherwise, the story is really good so far. Really recommend giving it a shot, long chapters too!

Great story and very refreshing. It felt like the majority of the books here in RR start the same way and have a similar story, but this one feels different, first of all the MC is a jouster! How cool is that?! And I used to work in the corporate world back in the day and I used to hate it, so I really feel connected to the MC, since I also had to deal with all the snakes roaming around the office.
Style score: Great, however nothing that special. Maybe the author could add some "sauce" to the writing style
Grammar Score: I only saw one typo for now. Very well written, he doesn't use super complicated words that some authors use to make them sound smart.
Story score: it got me super hooked, because you really want to know how the MC is gonna deal with the people around him.
Character Score: Awesome! He's a bad ass jouster! And it's great seeing him coming out of his shell and embrace this apocalyptical world! I like his tactics on dealing with enemies, and his unique build allows him to fight opponents that a normal person wouldn't be able to.

A no BS review for a story about a horse and its man.
Note: I’m writing this review based off of the first 14 chapters of the story.
Why the 5-stars? It’s because ‘I Wear It Black’ is a story that knows what gives a System Apocalypse its strength, executes on that, and then adds in a horse for good measure.
Style - 5/5. Author successfully increases reader bloodlust. Makes you feel like a bucking bronco. I was a civilized man with a mind for a modern age before reading this. Now I want to go to a coliseum so I can see people get thrown to the lions.
Grammar - 5/5 - I have no complaints. If you’re that one person who finds multiple errors per chapter in professionally edited novels, then I’m sure you’ll find them here or in any other written work. If that’s not you, then I doubt you’ll notice anything off.
Story - 5/5. This isn’t the story of a man. This is the story of a pimp named Butterscotch turning a boy into a man. James, who starts off as your average slightly charismatic, hardworking, local office pushover, is thrust into an apocalypse and the ensuing danger that entails on the back of a stallion with a hidden passive that emits Big D energy into his surroundings. In a matter of hours and a couple of days, riding Sir Butterscotch is already showing effects on James at levels similar to exposure to large amounts of nuclear radiation. I look forward to his further mutation into black knight running morons beneath hooves every chapter.
    Character - 5/5. 10/5, the horse is a king.
Speaking on the topic of everyone else, though, I can’t remember the last time I was so eager to see a starting cast of characters die. Apocalypse, horror, and death game stories all tend to start off with easily disdained casts and I Wear It Black is no exception. That doesn’t mean it’s a negative for the story. It just means that it’s going to be a whole lot more delicious when they get their comeuppance.

This story isn't a 5 star my actually rating would be around 4 - 4.5, but some of these recent reviews are way to harsh
I do agree however that the MC is an extreme doormat, we're still early on in the story so things can change
But yeah the early chapters are a tough read, I mean real tough. People are constantly walking all over him and he doesn't do anything about it, he complains but still lets himself be walked over

Even if there is not a lot of chapter which has been release we can already appreciative the immense potential this story have. The chapter are long, the world is coherent for the moment and the way that the protagonist is taking is really exciting ! For me is 5 stars even if I can't judge the grammar because English isn't my mother language.

I really love it. Leaves me hanging on the edge of my seat. A new and refreshing take on litrpgs which I really really enjoy. Keep it coming, I can't wait to see what happens next, and where the adventures takes James next . Only complaint, more chapters lol.

As almost all other reviews pointed out, the characters are annoying early on, with hard to understand motivations. But it slowly gets better.
The setting is not unique (so far), but interesting. It seems to be well planned, but we mostly only get glimpses.
The writing is good, similar to Fowl's other popular story, Casual Heroing, but better.
The most important thing: I enjoy it, and am curious about the story's progress.

I'll start with the good here the action was well written and the idea of mounted combat is not only rare but cool. The novel itself is laid out pretty nicely with good dialogue and the author does a great job of describing everything going on. Unfortunately, these are all of the good things. The characters are insanely ridiculous. We currently have a cartoon megalomaniac surrounded by an incels wet dream as the surrounding cast. I cannot handle how many paragraphs I'm skipping because I can't be bothered to read the line "you suck James" paraphrased fifty times by big titty women or the cartoon villain. My previous sentence is a bit of a hyperbole but I skipped over much of chapter 5 before I decided to call it quits. I also can't get behind the characters motives here.
He wanted to put all of his shitty coworkers in jail and ruin all of their lives through his months long meticulous planning, but all of a sudden now that he's in fantasy land he has to stick with them and protect them all.
It's only a spoiler up to and including chapter 5 but I can't stand to read any more of it. Good luck and I hope the story pans out and does well.

I feel that all this story needs to jump up a star and a half is for your main character to become a villain. Your writing is good and your setting is good but it need a payoff of punishing the people at the company. I know you made him a disgraced squire but I hope rather than trying to become redeemed he leans into it become a black knight or something similar.

'I wear it black' has got a pretty good hook and all but, when it comes to the writing although grammar is good the characters writing is wierd with inconsistincy everywhere. Assuming the MC is meant to be slightly on the evil spectrum it isn't that bad but once again it seems to jump everywhere not staying in one place to build up a good character. The story so far shows a good outlook on future events that I hope for but also doubt if the story will continue to that based on what has been written so far. The idea is good but the characters really let the whole story down.
