- yuplustRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0An owl surviving in a forest filled with hostile beings and having a system offered at birth, theres humans but i dont get the feeling mc will turn humanoid or become someones pet more like they are going to be a ruler eventually or a wandering beast erradicating evil and helping where it goes, well see.
As expected mc character progress has been little, good enough and leavings things to develop later, his grow is mostly in power for now.
Fast paced and with the narration being from the protagonist view with minor povs serving as worldbuilding.
I feel this story has potential and im looking forward for when mc starts gaining notoriety. - SrayanRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Overall = just starting what I would consider the third arc and this story is getting better and better. Highly recommmend this one.
Grammar = no problems noted, good language use and flow - immersion is good.
Style = not much exposition. Positive for blue screen mechanics. Initially some conversation with "system" as an intro arc. In first arc no other conversation as MC is reincarnated into an eagle chick - so nonverbal communication with other eagles. Second arc introduced a troop of (?partially) sapient non-human monkeys who have some language among themselves. So more conversation and little exposition there. Third arc has just started with introduction of humans - also indication MC will soon gain telepathic comms. So overall style is non-exposition and most situations dealt with by demonstration. Blue screens are present - as are internal "skill choice" discussions.
Story = really good. Also author does seem to know quite a lot about animals and the way ecosystems might work. The intro (chick+ system intro) arc is well done. Second arc (combat growth = initial unplanned combat, growth and then planned combat against hostile monkey troop with further growth) - this is well done with good scaling, MC deals with his issues in a sensitive and rational way.
Third arc has just started - likely to introduce social options with human group as well as "cultivation". Totally looking forward to this. I think the author/system has been fairly generous with the MCs growth and ability to power up so far (in comparison to other eagle chick - this is partly system based - aligned with reincarnated powers and skill gains), however his progression in terms of pure power has also been strong and will probably have to slow down somewhat from now on to enable balanced story crafting.
Character: MC is well crafted and impressive. Not OP on my opinion but if he was not both strong, quick and smart he would be dead. This is a world where a stupid MC would get eaten. That's not to sa - 1Royal Road★★★★★ 4.5This is a pretty well-executed 'Reborn as a Monster' LitRPG story, with some cultivation-based mechanics. In particular, the game-like aspects are thorough and understandable. On the other hand, the narration is from the persepective of the main character, so a lot of the exposition feels rushed. Overall, it's quite good for what it does, so I can certainly reccomend it.
- MasterthetimeRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5I would say this story is well written when compared to a large majority of stories on this website, there are minor problems, like grammer which is natural for authors who speak English as a second language, but overall the story is enjoyable, I'm invested in the characters and would be upset if anybody in the MC's family died, the way the system works at granting power doesn't seem too OP, even though it can seem like it at first with him getting certain achievements it can be justified pretty easily, and he doesnt get any more after his 3rd, the style of the author feels well paced, the worst problem I see with the story is that it took very long for character interactions to really happen, before chapter 30 the only real interactions you get are stuff like him playfully messing with his siblings, or when he follows what the quests are telling him to do, but during that 30 chapter time, we learn alot about the system and MC, and it didn't bother me very much, but I can see it bothering other readers, but after that point we have had a lot of conversation between characters and I feel like the MC has bonded well with his family, even though some interactions feel a little forced, overall I think they are well written
- Stoner BobRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0Have currently caught up to the most recent chapter. Has been a very interesting read. I have tried to read books before where the MC was a monster but did not get far with them. This one I am actually looking forward to seeing where the book is going.
So far the pacing has been good and the MC seems to be accepting his life as it is now. - Trumpet_42Royal Road★★★★ 4.0This story mixes Xixania and LITRPG with a monster Isekai, while this isn't unique it's rare enough and, most importantly, it's reasonably well executed. The System and Cultivation both are well implemented if not terribly creative, but why reinvent the wheel? One thing that the author will need to watch out for is our favourite bird becoming too overpowered and not facing any reasonable challenges. OP MC can be good, but it's much harder to get right. The biggest issue I currently have with the story is the number of grammatical errors, namely, punctuation-related ones This issue could be mitigated with an editor or software such as Grammarly. Overall, while not a literary masterpiece this story is enjoyable and quite good by the standards of this site.
- JohKaoriRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0Endless river has a unique premise of both xianxia and LitRPG combined, which it does so well, and it doesn't feel forced at all, especially when compared to other attempts at combination of genre.
Style: Definitely the strongest suit of the novel, the premise and ideas presented shows great breath of potential, I may be biased but I always enjoy a 1st person perspective story, and this excecutes that quite well.
Grammar: The grammar could definitely use some work, but it rarely hinders reading, merely lack of punctuation at places, or wrong punctuation where it shouldn't apply. Otherwise it is pretty good and the vocabulary is decently vast.
Story: Reincarnated as an eagle, he gets invited to join an organization for access to a system. The premise is well done and a breath of fresh air, instead of just being reincarnated just because, the main character is given a clear goal to work for from the start.
Character: Definitely needs some work, there are no side characters at the point I've read but it's not necessary for good story telling the problem is the main character you're reading about. In the beginning chapters, the main character feels quite disconnected from the story, while they have a system of their favourite MMORPG they seem to treat their life and the world like they are in a video game. While it allows the story to start immediately, which is definitely a plus, it is very hard to look at the main character as an individual. - smuggles999Royal Road★★★ 2.5Ended up skimming later chapters to see if anything interesting was going to happen, falls into the litrpg trap where most chapters can just be summarized as and then the MC grinded/trained/cultivated. The only action scenes even worth mentioning are those with his family, the bits without excessive killed _____ for +1000xp seem well written enough. The MC gets some emotional character development but it's early enough in the story to not have much impact on the reader, and its always followed by a title+stat boost which can work depending on the revalation but is somewhat cheap especially the 2nd time it happens.
