There are no heroes coming to save her. There are no adventurers to thin the ranks. There is only the biting cold, the hunger of her own tribe, and the shadow of ancient things that have waited thousands of years for the "Gate" to reopen.

The Gate is Open. The Food Chain is Waiting.

- Urban Goat HerderRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I gave this story a very high rating because out of a lot of LitRPG I have read on here, this one actually made me curious enough to keep reading even after my set deadline of six chapters. There is a lot of skill in this story telling, and the writer's craft is well honed. I think once complete and the writers get some space they will take this gem and shape it into a best seller.
- ArtemisllynRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Waiting for more. There is a whetting of curiosity that has occurred. I look forward to seeing more.
When there has been more I will write a much more in-depth review.
I will continue to follow and give more involved critique. _____________________________________
I took some time off from reading this to allow the story to develop more. There have been several chapters added and much editing done. It is a much smoother read and more information and detail is given. This is a great improvement.
I have many chapters left to read, but it is beginning to pick up and is more enjoyable. I look forward to the adventures. - NorsegodlokiRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0i have been enjoying it so far hope they get more out soon but well worth the read and a good start to the story 3 chapters all good one after the other best read in a while the characters we have met so far are well written and has a good story i have followed the author and i look forward to reading more iv not been here long and im loving the storys and this website
- PinkCalicoRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0There's a few odd writing quirks, like some lines that don't fully make scenes but I think it works overall. I really like the setup so far, really curious where the story is gunna go. Would like to have more time spent on setting up things you get a lot of information really quickly so it feels like you miss thing sometimes. Overall I think it s a really good start.
- RensenRenRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I honestly didn't expect myself to love this story as much I as I do right now. I hardly read anything litrpg because my first experience wasn't exactly a pleasant one and the ones after it were exactly the same. As of now I'd like to say that I don't regret picking up this story.
I found the first chapter to be very well written and emotional which is very nice, then the second and third chapters threw me for a loop because I found myself just as confused as the character, making me understand just how immersive the writing kind of is.
I like that the style is descriptive without too much info dumping but there are times that there's way too much description which lead to some long paragraphs but they're still okay.
Gave this work a very high rating because from an objective point there's nothing much to complain about.
It's well written, easy to read, entertaining and seems to promise us a good time growing along with the main character.
As someone who doesn't regularly read stuff like this, I can easily say this is one of my favorites in the litrpg genre, if not the only.
I wholly recommend to anyone interested. - SR FauthRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0First off, let me preface this by saying that this was a solid, enjoyable read. There were a few rough spots that we will get into, but overall I enjoyed the fiction. It was imersable, enjoyable, and had a goo developing story line.
Without further ado, lets get into the nitty gritty:
STYLE SCORE 5/5: The style of the writing is great! Its direct, gritty at times, and really makes you wonder just what is going to happen next. It imparts a sense of wanting to continue reading as well as being continually curious about events that haven't been explained yet.
STORY SCORE 5/5: The story is written and develops well. The world is built out and expanded upon slowly while the MC's view of everything expands as well. Overall its a great experience and I really enjoyed it.
GRAMMAR SCORE 4/5: Grammar needs a bit of TLC and love. There are not a large number of errors in spelling or punctuation, but they are noticible. The biggest issue I took note of were the massive paragraphs. They were, at times, immersion breaking as I found myself going back to find my spot if I lost it.
CHARCTER SCORE 4.5/5: Really enjoyable characters! The gods seemed a bit shallow at times development wise, and the appropriation of the MC's soul could really use some added depth to it. Over all though, they are mostly well written and enjoyable to learn about.
OVERALL SCORE 5/5: Even with some of the detracting factors in regards to spelling and paragraph length, I truly enjoyed this read so far. Between the potential of the story, the ability of the writer to adapt and fix errors, and the overall length demonstrating they are dedicated to their craft, I feel this warrants a solid, but precarious, 5 stars. - Sickened FanficsRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Style (5): The style of the prose is very refreshing to read. It shows creativity and intelligence with its descriptions. Any creative writing professor at a university would be impressed. As you read the tale written in first person, you get the sense that they are sitting next to you relating the events.
Story (5): This story is a gamelit and I’m really liking it. A lot of gamelits lack in detail and rely on gaining stats and becoming powerful, but I feel this story is more than that. It really suckers you in with intrigue.
Grammar (4): I am making these suggestions as a person educated in American English. Therefore, if these suggestions are wrong in your country, you can ignore them. The grammar isn’t too bad, actually, it’s pretty good. However, there were some things that I noticed. There were some run-on sentences, and in some places, periods and commas were used incorrectly.
Next, there were instances of words that sound the same but are spelled different and have different meanings used. For instance, “sain” when the writer meant “sane”, and “solum” when the writer meant “solemn”. Sometimes the wrong forms of words were used.
Lastly, single quotations should not be used for thoughts. They are only used for quotes inside of quotes. It is best to use italics.
I always recommend using MS Word, Grammarly, and Google spell and grammar checker.
Characters (5): At first, I had an issue with the fact that there weren't many details about the couple’s appearance, but you find that there is a reason for that in chapter two. The character’s appearance changes so it didn’t matter what they used to look like. I was so impressed by how all the characters were described from their appearance to their clothes and I could see everything in my head. Every character is unique, and this clearly shows the intelligence and creativity of the writer. There is a lot of emotion in this story, and it reaches the reader right out of the pages. In chapter one, you can easily feel and s - LandiRoyal Road★★★★ 3.5The work is marred by grammatical mistakes that detract from how much you can enjoy the story after a while. What will be found inside is a lot of run-on sentences, wrong tenses, and wrong verbs.
As a story, it tries to be mysterious but ends up confusing you about what is going on.
