I am hooked. I been binge reading this since I started this morning, even with a meal break, I am already to chapter 30. I am really loving this story and how the author is able to protray the personalities in it with out being two dimensional (well the King is classic self entitled villain, but that works in this kind of story.)In truth I would love a copy of the system that the author is using for his character building. I tried to make one of my own and failed at it. I find I am the sort that needs source material for such endevors. So I am a tad envious when I find such a story with a well written LTRPG such as this one.In my opinion this one is a must ready for any fan of such fantasy LTRPG stories.

Honestly, I would have given this a 4 rather than a 5, but bumped it up because most of the bad reviews are because of one chapter at the very beginning of a book that's almost 1600 chapters long SO FAR, and I don't actually agree with their complaints. Sometimes, if there's absolutely nothing you can do to improve their situation, killing someone is a kindness. Of course, I'm absolutely in favor of assisted suicide, and if I recall, every one of those girls gave him the green light before he did it.
With the dark stuff out of the way, this is a fun power fantasy that I binged on from start to chapter 1589, which was a pretty big time investment that I really didn't regret. The author obviously has improved his writing when comparing it to the first few chapters, but it wasn't BAD, even in the beginning, certainly better than I could have done. There are a few things that stood out that seemed odd...characters were named before they were actually introduced in the beginning of the book, and then that changed to ???? saying things rather than a sentence or two of introduction. I think that the ???? thing was done intentionally because of the way the author uses everyone's name but Ash's when a conversation happens. For example,
Bob said "Hey Ash, you're amazing and awesome!"
"Thanks Bob, you're pretty great yourself."
Bob said, "Thanks, but I'll never be as cool as you."
Honestly, if I had any real complaint about the story itself, it would be how much Ash starts stuff, gets pulled away for an adventure, and either never comes back to the original thing, or doesn't show back up until 800 chapters later (looking at you, giant chunk of origin energy armatite). When this happens, it seems like whatever it was that got dropped for a long time was a big deal when it was introduced, but then it's no big deal when reintroduced (again, armatite).
My guess is that the author just forgot about stuff, then he's like, oh yeah, better get back to that! A suggestion would be to wr

After reading so many stories on Royal Road, finding this was an absolute joy.  The pacing is very good and the fact that it is ongoing is amazing.  The story itself is fun and imaginative.  The Isekai trops are managed in a very fun way.  Overall a great story with a lot of anticipation fro where it goes.

    Awesome. Just awesome.
The beginning is more just setup, but the story goes way past that. It feels more like you're diving into your personal diary and experiencing what happened a second time. There are lulls, exciting things, dark things, and happy things.
Occasionally, it can feel like the MC is a little too apathetic, but it's more just his coping skills. The world building is nice and everything builds on top of each other. It winds up being a very detailed world where you're not left wondering about everything. You just keep learning more, in greater detail, and get to do it in a way that feels more organic than a traditional Rite Of Passage or Great Adventure story.
I think my favorite part is the amount of detail. You live every moment with the MC. The boring ones, the exciting ones, the ponderous ones. This isn't a story that needlessly dials everything up to 12, only to make everything a 1. You get to experience his curiosity (lol), his thoughts, his self reflection. A real transparent view into his life.
The levels, magic, and energies aren't overly involved. There are dark moments and bad things, but none of them feel overly terse. You also get to see the character grow. I think overall, he's a little immature (or maybe autistic), but it makes for a wonderful leisurely read.

Over time, the story goes from mediocre to really good. The author’s writing style and writing skills greatly improves as the story continues. At the time of me writing this review, this story is one of the better isekais on Royal Road.
This story is not perfect.  If the author were to re-write ep. 10 today, I am sure he would handle it a lot better. Moreover, many of the secondary characters are in need of “character building.”  This is especially true for many of the female characters. Lastly, the dialog (particularly in the early chapters) does not feel natural.
What this author does extremely well is world building. The world building is extensive.  Additionally, the world he created, the plot, and side plots are believable within this fantasy universe. The power scaling becomes more fleshed out and stable as the story progresses. The MC is strong but not to the point of being unbeatable. What’s more, the MC has to study and practice (a lot) in order to get smarter and stronger. Yes, he gets stronger (smarter) at a faster pace than someone in the real world—and other beings in this fantasy world. This makes sense in the context of the story not just because he is a summoned hero, but how he was summoned.
I recommend people to stay with this author.  People who have patience will be awarded with a good story and phenomenal entertainment.

An adventure story based on transmigration (summoned) of the MC, who is rapidly thrown into a "sink or swim" situation. Initial arc is similar to a dungeon setup. He surmounts challenges, gains power and associates.
PAY ATTENTION TO THE TRAUMATISING CONTENT WARNING. The author means it - there is traumatising content 18+ (or your local equivalent) in the first arc (dungeon) and unfortunately the MCs thoughts and reasons (plus any guilt elements) are not depicted. The MC is not evil and is sane. The reason for the actions should be explained. But = No exposition, No introspection. Usually that's good, sometimes it's not good and occasionally it is a major flaw.
As the story progresses - through and post dungeon. Gradually his mission becomes revealed - it's a biggie. War on Evil stuff. Sort of save the world from Ragnarok but it's not called that. And not too many clues how either. The MC soldiers on....
There is very little exposition in this story, so you have to figure out some chapters by yourself. At least you get to infer his thoughts later on though.
In the early chapters there is a feeling of speed, possibly from the writing style - but it's also a time when MC grows rapidly, and there is no dialogue (introspection) until he starts to find allies. Further in the story becomes more complex and there is time given to interactions
But overall if 18+ gore and traumatic stuff doesn't turn you off I think this is a decent  read.

This fantasy novel has captivated me with its intricate world-building and compelling character development. While I typically avoid novels with multiple points of view, the author's masterful handling of each perspective kept me fully engaged. The initial chapters, though perhaps not as grand as some might expect, lay a solid foundation for a truly remarkable story. The protagonist, far from being an overpowered archetype, faces genuine struggles and challenges, making him relatable and endearing. I particularly appreciate the author's meticulous attention to detail in crafting the world's history and lore. The rich tapestry of events and explanations woven into the narrative adds depth and intrigue.
The history and world-building are particularly well done. The author doesn't just tell us about the world, they show it to us through the characters' experiences and interactions. The author takes the time to explain the history and culture of the world, which makes it feel more real and immersive.
While the current setting is confined to a cave, I am eagerly anticipating the moment the author unveils the wider world. With over 1000 chapters already published, I am excited to embark on this epic journey and discover the secrets that lie beyond the cave's confines.
Don't let the initial critiques deter you! Take a chance and dive into this novel – you might be surprised by how much you enjoy it.
After 800+ Chapters I can say this is still a great Novel sadly will go down a Rating due to the massive amounts of Filler just talking about Food and sleeping all the time.

This story is written to be more video game than isekai.  I don't think that was the intent, but that is how it reads.  It moves quickly and all interactions (dialogue, analysis, combat, crafting, etc...) are a little forced.  It is hard to become immersed in the story, and anyone who is looking for literary genius will probably hate this story.  That said, I'm at chapter 20 and enjoying it as casual read.  Also, I've read everything else (either completed stories or waiting on updates) so I am grateful to have a new story with hundreds of chapters still ahead of me.
RR is free to read, so keep your overly critical and ungrateful comments to yourself please.

I think this story deserve more, yeah it have some flaws, but it's not that bad. It's not a story you read too seriously, it's a type of story you enjoy to pass time I guess, no serious problem faced by the MC so far. The story is interesting if a bit lacking, hopefully it grows better as the story progress
