    I gave it the highest rating to piss everyone browsing the "completed" tab off

    Written as part of a review swap.
    It's rare to see a romance between a Japanese and a foreigner portrayed properly in anime, and this story does exactly that.
    Style = 3/5
    Perfectly serviceable. Nothing special.
    Story=4/5
    Quite heartwarming and cute. I definitely like the focus on the culture clash.
    Grammar=5/5
    Perfect. No mistakes at all.
    Character=4/5
    Both the MC and the heroine are interesting. It's cute how the MC keeps justifying the heroine's advances as mere culture clashes. The heroine is also great, albeit feeling a little out of the manic pixie dream trope.
    Overall=4/5
    It's great! Worth the read, but no masterpiece.

    This is a rather simple and sweet romance that does not have anything over the top or problematic in its presentation. The differences between cultures is shown through a few examples, but the read of Jun as young Japanese man is a bit awkward at times. He cannot read the air and despite being an outsider, he bumbles along in his own head. He does not come across as very bright or well-adjusted despite the introduction. Anyways, the need to push the relationship forward causes this to be awkward and someone like Jenny strains it at times. It does pull back and have a little bit of mindfulness and leads to a good ending. And that's what is important.
