The whole interaction of her dad coming in and helping her understand and get comfortable with fireball was also good. A nice wholesome story! Definitely worth a read.

Sorry but i don't remember names, just as i read i thought this was a novel approach to a... novel (huh huh). But I like the humor of the premise. This feels like an anime or a manga to me. Maybe I'm wrong but it had that vibe to me at least. Which i like.because i think novels offer a lot more and I love anime and manga too so why not take what makes them great and put it in a novel. Ok, I'm ranting. Better get to bed.
