The two met and challenged fate together.Azrael’s life changes the moment he sees a horned girl at school that no one else seems to notice. Before he can make sense of it, he’s pulled into a nightmarish labyrinth filled with deadly traps and something monstrous lurking in the dark. He barely escapes with his life, only to wake up with an even bigger problem.Lilith, the girl no one else could see, is now trapped in her human form and bound to him. She’s mute, socially awkward, and undeniably not human. While Azrael just wants to go back to a normal life, something is shifting in the world around him. Shadows are stalking them at every corner, the line between dreams and reality is starting to blur, and worst of all, something sinister is on the hunt for them.Forced into a battle they don’t understand, Azrael and Lilith must rely on each other to survive. Between supernatural threats and the struggles of high school life, every choice they make will pull them deeper into a war neither of them asked for. But as secrets unravel and fate closes in, one question lingers who is really pulling the strings? For fans of dark romance, epic fantasy, and Japanese light novels, Communicating with a Devil: The Ministry of Shadows is an emotional, action-packed story of trust, survival, and the battle between light and darkness.

While I did enjoy the chaos and hoplessness that was the first chapter, the second chapter is built around the mystery and stress regarding the same ring from Azrael's nightmare. This alone is already very interesting, as this sinister looking ring on Azrael's finger not only can't be removed, but can also take the shape of a purple band-aid to hide itself from everyone else. I enjoy reading the next chapter in the future!

I was surprised by the story, a demon waifu about how she saved Azrael and then thought that he would be under the ground and they would not escape, above all Azrael did not want his friend Shana to get jealous for having another friend and well about how she cannot speak and write in the notebook with a pen, it reminded me of Komi san because she wanted to communicate and she must have 100 friends and the name Lilith is similar to Eda's sister, the owl lady from The Owl House and it was good, there are only 3 chapters left, so give it a go. 👏🏻

The story and information that Azrael had received from his new companion was interesting, along with her personality and hidden nature tied to her past. Both of them are in a fragile state in more ways than one, but they still form a connection with each other. The story continues for a bit with Azrael's life after being reborn while introducing newer struggles and drama along with his close ones, and I like that. Looking forward to see the hidden meanings behind the key items and characters associated with them.

I feel for a first attempt you did very well to setup the characters and the storyline. Looking forward to reading subsequent chapters. I do feel that the pace of the story could be picked up, as at some points it felt like in your attempt to draw a vivid picture for your reader, you sacrificed his attention span. Focus on the core of the story and let it unfold naturally.

    Thank you for sharing.
A nice first attempt for a new writer but the lack of professional input and editorial skills really show.
Very weighty paragraphs, I'm not going to lie I found it very hard to follow at times.
I felt a bit overwhelmed too by how much there was to read on the opening chapter, hopefully future chapters are a bit shorter and more focused.
I would check it out but not if it's only 1 chapter a month. Where's the rest?
    Thanks

I have only read the first available chapter at this point. This will be spoiler free.
Overall it feels like the writing needs a bit of work. The style makes it cumbersome to read and I found myself not able to engage with the story properly.
The main problem being that every paragraph is overly descriptive and repetitive with what it want's to convey. Our protagonist is constantly expressing his inner thoughts ad nasuem. Telling us rather than showing us through his actions.
Metaphors are overused to express feelings and descriptions, stacked on top on eachother when more concise writing would do the job.
I would argue that this chapter could be more than half the length and still not lose any of the nessecary information to push the plot forward. It's just too long and repetitive.
In future chapters, I would also like to see how Azrael speaks to other people. Almost every dialogue was literally one sentence long. Appreciate the urgency of the chapter means he wouldn't be stopping and having a lot of conversations but all of the dialogue may as well have been removed if that was the intention. Its too little.
Underneath all that though, there may be an interesting story here. I would encourage the author to revisit chapter 1 and do some chopping here and there to improve the flow and make it easier to read.

Not a good fit in format for a Web novel.
Writing is really patchy and overly seasoned with unnecessary bulk which hurts the prose.
I did soldier through but it wasn't easy. This is about x3 too long for a Web novel chapter.
Not a fan of the main character at this point but the chapter didn't really let you get to know him in my view as its just constantly reminding the reader he is battling with something in his head. When he talks to a real person, there is no personality coming through.
