Description
Kurt was unsure how his existence came to be. Other paranormal being were not sure how it was possible either. The various government organizations of the United States didn’t even know about his condition other than he was a half elf. So it was that Kurt was feared by the average person, hated by most paranormal beings and generally wanting to be left alone.
His quiet life with only mild government interference would change when he gets an unexpected interview that was more or less a targeted and coerced job offer. He had only just signed the offer when the first of many surprises would be laid upon him in the form of a partner.
Follow along as Kurt deals with the intricacies of a multi-realm company, local cults, competing organizations and a work life balance that has him really getting to know his partner. All while he tries to figure out his own hybrid bloodlines which shouldn’t be possible in the first place.

This work is partly inspired by several others, namely from Saileri’s Dungeon Cleaners Inc. and Jan Stryvant’s Valens Legacy. I am aiming for a large amount of slice of life and interpersonal relationships with a decent amount of action mixed in. NSFW chapters will be as they develop and not the main focus of the story. This is not a harem story at this time but may change in the future.
Updates on Mondays and Thursdays.
Honest comments and constructive feedback are, of course, welcome. Let me know if I miss any tags and I will mark chapters with sex and put warning tags on any with situations that might make people uncomfortable.
I have a discord now for those that want it. There isn't much on there but its something for me to build onhttps://discord.gg/mmXKg333

- NanoBungoRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Fantastic action scene, engaging and attention-grabbing, the gun actions and gun-related details are great.. The characters are fantastic and feel real, the relationships between them are fantastic, whether it was Kurt's relationships between all the supporting characters or between his teammates/girlfriends. The world is interesting, a strangereal world that has always had mythical races living in it, where magic was real, and only recently came to be exposed to the rest of the world.
Highly recommended. - NotHereEverMoreRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This is easily one of the best stories on this platform. The concept is great, the writing is great, the story is just great.
I have no idea how there hasn’t been more hype/exposure… stupid algorithm stuff if I have to guess. After reading the negative reviews, I’ve determined those individuals must have nothing better to do than bring down others who have more talent.
This story has a unique and well developed cast of characters, all with their own goals and struggles. The world building is thorough, but not so much that you choke on it. The social systems are thought out and dynamic, a unique take on the supernatural society theme. There is a good blend of action, slice of life, romance, and intrigue (political and supernatural).
There are some spicy parts, but not an excessive amount. They are easy enough to skip through if that’s not your thing. You won’t lose out on the plot.
Overall, this story is a very well written and interesting take on the dungeon system archetype, and I highly recommend giving it a try! - Scout77Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0So I am giving this story 5 star rating despite some minor flaws. I love this story. I love urban fantasy as well as portal fantasy and this is both. The story is well written and has pretty well developed characters. While none of the world building feels especially unique it is uniquely put together. The main characters seem like real people without being over the top in any real way. My only complaints are grammatical. It seems like the story has been proof read by spell check. There are errors that a person might catch but a computer wouldn't. I also think the story would attract more attention if the cover was better.
- Cav_Vet_931Royal Road★★★★★ 4.5I've enjoyed this story. If you like the blending of fantasy and modern themes as well a decent amount of slice-of-life in between the action, then you'll probably enjoy this.
I'm not a fan of the spicy/smutty scenes and I appreciate that the author marks them and wrote it so that you don't miss much by skipping them.
The world building is slow but progresses.
The MC is a bit OP, but he still coming into learning about his full potential.
All the important characters have good emotional development, so far. Even the woman falling for the MC so rapidly can be explained away fairly easily, especially when you consider they are not normal human women and have magical/bestial elements to them that effect how they think and feel. - HellequinRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5Really like the story so far from reading ahead from another site.
The concept it very well done though still learning more about it with more details as we go since other then basics we don'tknow a lot of details about the company, other worlds and missios. So far concept it very well done without most of clique that novels with similar concepts do which is very refreshing to read. The story itself is very engaging with good written cast of chacters that add depth to the story. Really enjoying how the cast engage with each other and others. The battle scenes are very well written and engaging. For Mc powers his skill set is very well designed and looking forward to how it it evolve in the future. As for how mcs power if greater scale of things is still unkown in terms of fighting prowess mc is neither too Op or too weak. Sometimes the story feels a bit slow in terms of pacing but catches it right back up. Hopefully will be a very long story. And wanted to thank author for writing such a gem.

The main plot is also very interesting but kind of slow going with a few mini-arcs and different subplots going on; however - savethatprincessRoyal Road★★★ 3.0If you're into novels that mix fantasy with a modern world, War and especially some smutty Romance, you might want to give this a try. Even if i don't think it's great.
Disclaimer: i only managed to get past Ch.7, so i dropped it somewhat early.
The setting can be boiled down to MC, who is a superhuman Mary Sue type of Guy, living in a modern world that apparently is connected to magic worlds, is opening his own home defense front.
Now, a typical Mary Sue is good in everything, beautiful, special, beloved by everyone except the evil people, and Rules don't really apply to her.
Our MC here is a trained killer, a magical engineer, a normal engineer, physically superhuman in every aspect thanks to being a elf/human/werewolf and is beloved by his community. Which of course does not include the shadowy evil people, and for some reason his Government. Which is probably the excuse needed for him to settle in the middle of nowhere, build his own house there, all by himself of course, and get offered a job that boils down to defending it. Oh, and that job also includes beautiful Women that now live with him. Women, that in classic fashion, have no one to rely on, need a lot explained and fall in love basically immediately.
He also has his trusted neighbors/friends there who are really nice to him, even tho everyone is supposed to hate him. And if he ever gets in trouble, he can solve it by himself and then get compliments from the people who arrive near instantly anyway.
The world building sadly (at least so far) couldn't save it, since it is mostly glossed over and mixes parts of everything. From magical beings to different worlds/planes/dimensions to magical systems to Nano-machines and a surveillance state, i have had trouble understanding the world and its in my eyes conflicting rules that govern it.
Which, again, boils down to the MC being a Mary Sue. The world NEEDS to hate him for some reason, while also throwing everything to his feet, from love interests and friends - ElorieRoyal Road★★★ 2.5... who apparently never heard of grenades.
Elite rift-closing team with no standard gear. No flamethrowers, claymores, AT weapons, no magical tools, no aoe spells.
Enchantments oh so expensive, but never trying to raise home-grown enchanters.
Earth guns are the best, but the standard issue sucks, of course.
Demons are maybe not all bad, but why? There are data dumps, and then there's basic simple explanations.
Great revelation, veil torn, and... what? Some bad laws, which were removed? Seriously, that's it?
Wow, humanity is suddenly 99% nice and reasonable, laugh.
Summoning cults exist, but they all fuck up and Earth isn't overrun. Magic isn't all over the internet. Can anyone and everyone do magic?
It's slice of life with a bit of shooting and gun-nuttery, plus very awkward attempts at romance.
Not good, not terrible, rather boring.
