Either works. But there’s one thing she’s not going to do: swim. And that makes escaping the island a bit more of a challenge than it needs to be. Meanwhile, the gods are brewing up… something. What to expect: - The MC is a cat, both in body and mind - Gluttony powers done right - The only romance is Yona X Fish (can’t get enough fish) - A System that is sassy only in self defense - Numbers go up (a lot) - Somewhat unhinged MC - Relatively early human form, but MC still prefers to live as a cat I tagged it with graphic violence and sensitive content, but it shouldn't get too bad. Just wanted to be safe

Our MC here has a very cat-like self centered personality, and she somehow manages to make decisions in the worst way for the best effects. If you can predict the twists and turns of this story then you should DM me some lotto numbers 'Cause the only way you're doing that is via divination.

This is wonderful in all the ways; good story, fun characters, well written, everything. It's a delightful take on monster evolution, with a not-stereotypical main character. There's humor, combat, intrigue, and numbers go up.
A lot of authors with more than one character have a problem with everyone sounding the same. Or their internal logic is consistent across everyone, as though every decision is the ideal one and everyone inherently knows that. This author does not have that issue at all. They disagree for logical reasons and speak differently. This isn't the main reason why this is so good (cat is best cat), but it's notable enough I feel like I should call it out.

The frustration of the system and Goddess means the reader doesn't get frustrated with her choices. All of these make the character very loveable for a cat lover like me.

This fic is hilarious, light hearted, and exactly what you'd expect of a hungry cat who eats lots.
May not be for you but it delivers exactly what it promises and extremely well. The fic isn't long yet so I can't say for sure but that seems to be all it has going for it too though. Perhaps more variety and things like social interactions and drama or intrigue or something will pop up but for now it hasn't and has stuck to just being funny and light hearted, which it does well enough that it works.

This was (just) a fun read at the start, a break from more serious reading. The interactions between characters was light, humorous, and progressed quickly. I now finished reading about Yonas evolution and see that there’s a lot more beneath the surface of soft and whimsical cat-girl. There’s edge…hard and cold. Now, I’m reading every chapter as soon as I see the update and putting my more “serious “ reading on hold.
